Last i checked the only rogues that are able to be created are night elf on the alliance not sure what they are on the horde so this one may be a little tricky unless the expantion is coming out before then.

With everyone talking about battlegrounds, I'm a little confused. Isn't it possible to just find the rogues in Dalaran or any other city and blast them there - much like the past holiday race/class combo achievements?

Or do you have to be in a battleground?

There's an easy, yet tedious way to get this achievement. You either need a friend or 2 WoW accounts. Now that Blizzard let us create a horde and an alliance on the same server, you can have either your friend or yourself (2nd account) create a rogue for every race you need. Then the tedious part would be getting to the start up areas of every race. After you shoot that race, delete the character and make a new one. At least you can get the achievement done without hours of BGs or hunting endlessly in Dalaran. I have 2 accounts, so I'm going to do just that.

At the moment, the Turkey Shooter is a reward from the daily quests.

Unfortunately, it is expendable with only a single charge. Prepare to do the dailies for a few more days to get enough shooters to shoot all those rogues.

The daily quests each give out either a piece of clothing, or a shooter. Assuming you take up 2 pieces of clothing for the Sethekk Halls achievement, you will need to do at least 2 days of dailies to complete the meta.

I can confirm that using the shooter deletes the item itself, meaning you only have 1 charge. And if you use it on someone already with the buff, it has no effect whatsoever, so you lose a charge and you'll need to complete another daily for another shooter. For low populated servers it's going to be fine doing this achievement with people in the same faction as yours, but to shoot the opposite faction it may be quite hard to find someone without the buff already, and you may have to resort to BGs.

I really wish blizzard wouldn't make something like this part of the mecha achievement.

Some rules you must be aware of:

1 - you cannot get credit for shooting a rogue if he is already with the turkey buff

2 - Do not shoot a rogue on a Hog, they turn into a turkey well on the bike but you don't get credit for it. I'm assuming this applys to all vehicle based mounts.

Make sure to target a rogue who doesn't already have the turkey buff! Else you're charge will get wasted but you will not get credit for it.

I just got credit for 'feathering' a blood-elf rogue that was riding a hog, she was the driver so maybe there is a difference between drivers and passengers - but i can confirm that it works on the driver.

It is possible to use the gun used for getting this achievement on rouges eating at banquet tables. (FYI the buff is dispellable so a good rouge should stop whatever hinders their stealth asap)

I can confirm that it does take them out of stealth. Just did it to an Undead Rogue in Orgrimmar.

Other things to have into account:

Rogues can attack while "turkeyed" (tested the hard way... the same Turkey Undead Rogue shadowstepped on me).
If you cast the Shooter to a Rogue and they stealth in the middle of your casting, you will shoot, break their stealth, turn them into a turkey and get the credit for the achievement.
There are no level restrictions. You can even ask a friend to create rogues of the opposite faction and turn them on Lvl1 Rogue Turkeys at their starting areas. Not ethically the right thing to do but it works if you are desperate, if you can't go to Dalaran yet or if battlegrounds are infested with Undead or Night Elf Rogues.
It is easy to see if a Rogue has been recently affected by this because... well... they will look like turkeys. But Rogues can demorph by mounting or *using some spells and/or items that allow them to change their physical form (like, for example, an Orb of Deception). Demorphing, though, does not remove the debuff, so double-check before trying to hit them.
If you get the achievement and still have some charges of the Shooter after (highly doubt so, but anyway) you can use it on any character to turn them into turkeys. It is not restricted to rogues. If you do not have the achievement, don't waste your ammo! Get the Rogues first!
You can complete all the five Pimgrim's Bounty daily quests needed to complete Pilgrim's Progress everyday. That allows you to get five Shooters a day. Use them wisely.
If you shoot it at a Rogue in Orgrimmar, people get angry. A lot.
Yeah, we all hate rogues.

I don't understand the complaining here myself. Just park yourself outside the specific Alliance or Horde area in Dalaran. You'll always find every race and class there, if you just wait. When I got Love Fool on two Characters I just sat at the door to Ledgermain and waited for the Hordies to come by and hit them. I'll do the same with the Rogues I need here.

You have to shoot rogues with a one shot gun that you get from the daily quests. If you shoot a rogue that's already been shot, it doesn't count.

Also, for some reason, they made the turkey "buff" last an ENTIRE HOUR.

I foresee many, many rogues in major cities, happily waddling about in turkey form for the entire hour and driving people crazy in the process.

Confirmed that you DO get credit for shooting a rogue that is on a flying mount, even though there is no visual effect. Also, while the gun does have a range restriction, as long as you start the "cast" while the rogue is in range, you're good, even if he moves out of range while you're casting.

Not a hard achievement, really. Hang out in Dalaran during high-traffic periods and you will find plenty of rogues. If you see one that already has the buff, follow him around until he clicks it off (getting on a flying mount removes it, as does taking any offensive action, whether it hits anyone or not).

I could see this achievement being easily completed by anyone with multiple accounts seeing as it doesn't have a level requirement listed. I'll test this myself and update this comment later once I get another shooter.

Update: Just tested this and it seems to work on a rogue of any level. If you don't have another account just ask a friend to make alts then blast them. Easy achievement.

Quite easy to do outside the BG's. Just do a '/who rogue gnome' and you can see where they are.... Make a /tar macro for that char and find him/her (or you could even ask them to group to find them) and poof!

Also in Dalaran I noticed some kind rogues just standing there waiting to be feathered.... Got 3 of the Horde rogues in Dala that way. For the Orc Rogue I asked a friend to create one.

You can make a character of the opposing faction on PvP servers now so if you're frustrated you can make one yourself, run him to where your main is and then alt-f4. Log on your main as quick as possible and there's a chance he'll still be standing there for you to shoot.

Just 1 point to add to this, if you shoot someone who is already debuffed (e.g. someone casts it the second before yours lands) they you lose the shooter and do not get credit for this.

DO NOT use it against rogues who have already been turkey feathered (you target them and see a turkey head). You will not get credit and will lose your turkey shooter!

I shot a human rogue outside Ironforge and did not receive credit. The rogue was not a turkey, and had no visible turkey buff. They were in the process of cooking some holiday food, and turned back into human form immediately.

Conclusion: Don't shoot a rogue with an active cast bar.

And if you shoot at someone at the same time as someone else - there's about a 1000% chance they'll get credit, and you'll be screwed out of a shooter.

Same guy boned me two days in a row, first shooting a Gnome and then an Orc.

Tracking down certain alliance races (particularly dwarves) can be a real pain if you're trying to do this achievement.

A good place to spot rogues is the Alliance WG portal area in Dalaran. It's ideal for a number of reasons. For one, there's no horde there, so no competition since Alliance can mark gnomes or dwarves much more easily in Ironforge. Additionally, on most realms, Alliance starts gathering here prior to a WG game (5-10 minutes, your mileage may vary).

Since Horde isn't allowed inside the Silver Enclave, we'll have to be creative. You can fly in through the top, and land on the ledge atop the entryway of the WG room. This screenshot should clarify things:

You can move around freely on the ledge and reach almost all Alliance targets, even if they run up the stairs on either side.

The Turkey Shooter can not be used in combat. In case you decide to barrel into the horde zerg in AV to get a troll rogue. It happens.

I came across an Orc Rogue this morning that was intentionally staying in "Turkey Mode" because he was tired of getting constantly popped with the gun. Luckily, when I asked nicely he dropped the Buff and let me re-turkey-fy him so I can work on the achievement.

Generally, if you are polite and ask other players nicely they will almost always help you out (barring cross faction)

If you are having trouble finding rogues of opposing faction and you have that spirit of the hunt (i.e. you won't ask someone to create a rogue for you - you don't need anyone's help!), you can use this strategy:

Log on to your char of opposing faction (or make one);
I had a dwarf
Go to the "Who" list in "Social" tab, and type c-rogue r-;
As for me - c-rogue r-gnome
Check where is the rogue with the most convenient position;
I found one in Hellfire Peninsula
(Optional) Invite him to your group to see his position on the map, then say sorry and quit;
My target was near Zeth'Gor
Log in on your main and go hunting! You are lucky if your target was in Dala or Shatt, but if not - that's more hunting fun, isn't it?

Or you can just stick near Silver Enclave/Sunreaver Sanctuary, yeah, that'll work too.

You can use the who list to find rogues.
For instance if you still need a dwarf rogue, type: "/who dwarf rogue"
This only works if they are in your faction though. So unfortunately you can't find orc rogues this way if you're alliance.

Now that u can create characters of both factions in PvP servers all you gotta do is get a friend/guildie to make a rogue of the needed race(s) and wait for you to go there and shoot him/her with the feathers. It may take a while if you don't have a convenient flight path, a mage to port or a lock to summon you but at least it guarantees you get the achievement, it just takes patience, like The Turkinator ;]

For all the rogues out there, if you feel like being nice (unlikely!) you can use this lil' script to clear the turkey buff as soon as you get it, as to ease the achievability of this achievement for other people. Not that you'd want to be a turkey anyway...

The Turkey Shooter can be obtained by selecting it as the reward from any of the daily quests for this holiday. It can be used in any area at all, with the restrictions mentioned by others above:

(a) if the target is already a turkey, you won't get "credit" for it, and will "waste" the shot
(b) it cannot be used in combat
(c) if your target can stealth, and they do so after you target them and start casting (or are stealthed when you target them and start casting) it will knock them out of stealth, but will not prevent them from attacking you as a turkey

It can be used anywhere that you have the opportunity to use it, otherwise: bg's, out in the world, Dalaran, Tournament Grounds, wherever you like.

Note: It has a long (2-3 second) cast time, and a fairly good range, but the cast time is long enough for mounted enemies to get out of your range (this won't waste a charge, but could mean you lose your prey).

It also doesnt count if you shoot someone in Dalaran who's on the Horde or Alliance restricted area.
For example. I'm a human, then I can't shoot someone horde rogue who's in Sunreavers Sanctuary, eventhough when he's in line of sight.

So far, the only way I've found to avoid being Lurkeyed is to be on your flying mount.

Savory Deviate and Noggenfogger simply get written over.

I made an alt a trial account to help with this achievement (dwarf rogue in this case), but it would not give me credit for shooting it. It didn't have afk status, and it hadn't already been turkified. Anyone else having this issue?

If the Turkey Lurkey achievement is a pain, I have a two word suggestion for you...

Trial Account!

Create a trial acct, roll rogues for the races you are missing, go to their starting area, log onto both accounts (simply run two copies of WoW on the same computer), and zap the "trial" rogue. Might take a bit to get to each race's starting location, but it might be easier and faster than trying to find a non-turkeyized rogue for some of the races.

I did this, but actually ran the alliance rogues on the trial account all the way to Orgrimmar. Yeah, it took a while (about 3 hrs to get 4 different races to Org), but I used them to get the achievement on all of my toons. After I was done, I mentioned in the Trade Channel that I had Alliance rogues of several races parked outside Org in case anyone else needed to complete their achievement. I just did this to be nice, but without even asking for it, I was given over 300g in tips. I guess you'd call that karma. :-P

On the contrary to 90% of the comments here, trying to shoot a rogue who already has the buff will pop up the error "You can't do that yet" and not consume a shooter. I found this out earlier when trying to blast a human rogue who, well, already had the buff.

With 4.0.3a happening this Tuesday and Dalaran portals being removed, I'm not sure how simple it's going to be from now on doing Turkey Lurkey :/ ((That is considering if most people are changing their hearths to the major cities.))

I'm pretty sure the Alt + f4 trick alt trick would work for this achievement since I just used it to do Wrath of the Horde. Basically you create a level 1 alt of whatever you need and you alt f4 on that toon, quickly log on your main and your level 1 alt will still be there idle.

Example lets say you need a Dwarf Rogue. You create a new level 1 Dwarf rogue. Then you bring your main to the Dwarf starting area and log in on the Dwarf Rogue. Alt + F4 to close the game and quickly log back in. Do not use the Launcher but instead use the Wow.exe to immediately access the log in screen. Type your info fast and log in your main quickly. The Dwarf Rogue will still be there so you use the Turkey Shooter on it and it will count towards the achievement.

I used this for Wrath of the Horde since there's basically no one in the Exodar or Darnassus these days. I brought my main to the citys, logged off, made a level 1 Dranei/ Night Elf, enable pvp, ran to where my main was parked and Alt F4'd. Logged on my main and killed the level 1 toon. Did it 5 times each and I got my achievement.

Hopes this helps those people struggling to find the rare Rogues.

As of 4.0.3 the shooter can't be used on turkeyed chars, thi icon is grayed out. So you won't be able to waste your ammo so easily.

The turkey mode is a buff, so it can be clicked off, so you can use some emotes to beg a rouge to click it off...

Okay, here's a rather simple way to do it: get yourself a friend (I found mine on the first try from the trade channel) who has at least 1 slot to make a new character. Then you both head to the starting area of the race who's rogues have truly mastered the art of staying hidden (dwarf, anyone?). After you've arrived to the spot, either of you logs off to create a rogue of the race you need, while the other one stays at the spot ready to shoot the friend, who will soon log back as a rogue, with a Turkey Shooter. After this has been done, simply do the same on the opposite roles that you'll both get the credit. And yes, this works on a PVP SERVER, so you can get the opposite faction's rogues as well. I got my achievement done this way 30 minutes ago, so I guess that's a confirmation.

Few things to remember:
1) Get your Turkey Shooters with you, so you won't be running for nothing.
2) Remember that this takes some time, especially if you're going for the opposite faction's rogues as there mostly aren't any flight paths nearby.
3) Don't be a jackass and leave until your friend also has all the credits he needs.

I did random BGs for the Orc Rogue until I saw one in Isle of Conquest, who joined mid-game (which means that you shouldn't drop if none of the rogues you're looking for are there at the start). While he was distracted fighting a large group of my teammates alongside some of his, I shot him with the Turkey Shooter, which earned me the credit and the achievement.

Surprisingly, you have a fair amount of leeway in shooting people who are moving. I shot a mounted Horde rogue as he was running away, and one or two seconds after I shot, he got hit and feathered, and I got the achievement.

SIX TURKEY LURKEY ISSUES TO CONSIDER FOR 2010 (Alliance):

Mounted Rogues: Blizzard seems to have corrected MOST, BUT NOT ALL glitches with mounted rogues. Fellow guildies told me they shot rogues mounted on Choppers and Raptors and received credit. However, I shot a troll rogue riding a turtle mount in Dalaran. The rogue did become a turkey, but I received no credit.

This year was brutal with Cataclysm changes because:

1. With new race/class combos available, many players started new toons and left their rogues inactive.
2. The portals are removed from Dalaran and Shattrath, and the population dropped to less than 10% of its previous amount (at least on Kilrogg server). No more combat free rogue hunting in a sanctuary.
3. This forced players had to use PvP and open world environment to hunt rogues. As you know, in PvP you often don't see an opposing rogue until you're sapped, cheap-shotted, or dead.
4. As for open world hunting, Orgrimar now has multiple high level PvP guards stationed much further outside the city, including ranged archers! So camping rogues entering/exiting this city is a pain. The other three cities seem relatively unchanged in terms of defenses, but they also had much less rogue traffic.
5. Deadly PvP/Camping Enemy Cities combination: Everytime you return from a battlefield, you're marked PvP for 5 minutes. So if you exit a BG right outside a major Horde city, you’re going to play sword tag. A lot.
6. Those turkey shooters are S-L-O-W to fire. With Dalaran eliminated and the subsequent PvP shift, I think Blizzard should have sped up the firing time. Why don't we just read rogues a bedtime store, paint their portrait, or interview them? It takes about the same amount of time!

Me: "Oh, look! A rogue in Warsong Gulch!" (rogue runs out of range before weapon is 1/3 fired)
Me: (chasing rogue) "Wait!" (refiring shooter) (1/2 complete, Interrupted by ranged Mage attacks) (run/dodge/attack Mage)
"Where is the rogue? Oh there he is!" (3/4 complete firing, rogue stealths, Fail)
"Where did he go?" (Sap, Premeditate, Ambush, Sinister Strike, Eviscerate - Dead)
"Oh, I guess he's behind me." (screen goes Black and White)

Yeah. You got to love Blizz. One shot use, slow firing.... I am grateful to have finished this achievement at all!

Spending hours outside Thunder Bluff and Ogrimmar, you can't do it in BGs since the cast time is so long you'll be dead 1/3 through

If you like to pick your targets carefully without having to check each time with the list of what you need, simply target a Rogue (use nameplates, enable them by the hotkey CTRL+V or SHIFT+V, handy if you also enable "Class Colors in Nameplates" in Interface/Combat), then simply use this macro:
/run local a,t,r,c,s,d=3559,"target"r,c=UnitRace(t),UnitClass(t)if r and c then for i=1,GetAchievementNumCriteria(a)do s,_,d=GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(a,i)if(not d)and s:find(r)and s:find(c)then print("=> Shoot the",s,"<=")end end end
It will check that you need the target, if you do it prints a message, if not then nothing happens.

One of the quickest and easiest ways to do this is to dual-box with a (free) Starter Edition account. Tagging level 1 characters, on those accounts, count towards this achievement. You just have to go to the starter zones (you have to go near them anyway since you have to visit each city for other achievements).

I wouldn't bother trying to get this via battlegrounds or by hanging around dal.

This is by far my favourite achievement. Back when I was still new at WoW and I entered a battleground, it would always be the same: sapped by a rogue and be dead seconds after. So it's really fun to get revenge on those dirty, sneaking rogues! (no offence to the players of course!) Some people may call me a noob, but I at least am a rogue-blasting noob.

Indeed there is Molten Front - or to be precise, just beside spawn point at Mt. Hyjal. Camp there, and horde and alliance alike will pop up right in front of you in huge numbers. Just be fast, cuz they tend to take off right away.
Worked for me for "Check Your Head" during Hallow's End.

Almost nobody is doing MF on my server anymore (no wonder) so I got 3 zaps from strand of the ancients, where most players are focused defending or attacking demolishers, being a healer just makes it harder, fell further back and used a macro to target the name of the horde rogue I wanted to zap. Only need orc rogue now but will probably get it from a friend.

Best place to find rogues at this moment is just outside FL entrance with dozens of raiders waiting between 7 and 8 pm

Hardest Horde rogue for me was the Orc, got all the others in about 5 minutes. I still need dwarf and gnome rogue before I get the achievement. I may go sit in front of Stormwind near the table and just wait for one to come by. :P

On my server, several nice players took there various rogue toons to Dalaran and stayed there for a long time.
I got the Troll, Blood Elf and Dwarf. Then I had used up my guns.
I think the Troll was there for most of the afternoon.

More people with rogues should do that.

They added Worgen and Goblin rogues this year, but NOT Pandaren! So, make sure you find your furry friends and money-grubbers, but save the bears this year!

I find the best way to fill out this achivement in the 4.x era is to queue up for large format BGs like IoC or AV and turkey allies in the start room. For opposite faction, every now and then a rogue will show up on the bg list that fits the race you need and you should write a target marco and spam it everywhere you go. Happy hunting!

Toll and orc rogues? Seriously? Found Orc one, infront of Horde AH in Orgrimmar. Other players weren't happy with me landing there so it ended in blood. For troll one, 3 days cruising around Orgri and no luck. Want to find one by myself, won't make friend creat one until last day.

Yeah, achi needs to be challenging. But this is pointless. 1% will find one, 99% will make one.

PVP server guide for 4.x

I just finished this on a medium population PVP server with a slight Horde imbalance (I am Horde). At any given time, I found no more than three Gnome rogues and five Dwarf rogues online, and they were almost always in instances. Here's a few tips for people struggling with this on a server like mine.

First: Make a character on the other faction and search for the rogue race you're looking for!
E.g. /who gnome rogue

Good places to find rogues currently:

The Molten Front, specifically Malfurion's Breach - This is probably the most used Sanctuary currently in the game. I got a Night Elf Rogue here.
The entrance to Firelands - Riskier, but you may catch a Rogue going to raid.
Battlegrounds - Esp. Isle of Conquest, Strand of the Ancients and Alterac Valley because they have more people and objective-based play. Just make sure to stand far back and pray you don't get hit during the ten second cast. I got a Human Rogue this way.
Finally, if you search for a certain race of rogue and see one in Dalaran (or Shattrath, though I think most people do it in Dalaran), head there straight away. Chances are good that it's a Good Samaritan hanging around just to get you your achievement. (Had people do this last year on our server, but didn't see anyone this year doing it.)

What if I literally never see a particular type of Rogue on my server?

First off, if you have a friend with an open slot on the same server, he or she can make a lowbie rogue of whatever race for you to turkey.

Alternatively, and I consider this tip a last resort, only because it takes a bit of the "fun" out of the whole thing, if you're last minute on the achievement or (like me) you're afraid you may not get to play again before the holiday is over, here you go:

You can start a free trial account for WoW and open up a second instance of World of Warcraft on the same computer (hopefully your computer can handle it--alternatively, use two computers). Log into the trial account and make whichever race of Rogue you're missing. Log in, run your character out and turkey that character.

Hope this helps some people finish up this achievement. Happy hunting, pilgrims.

I wound up having a guild mate make a dwarf rogue just to get this over with, but one way to do it, if you have patience, is to simply hang around outside of Stormwind if you're on a PVE server. You don't get flagged if you're by the tables, and if you're lucky you'll find helpful Alliance who are standing there on their rogue toons to help their side get the achievement. I got Human, Gnome, and Night Elf this way. Plus you can get some hilarious interactions going with the Ally-some are friendly, some spoil for a fight, but it's all fun.

If you don't want to bother a friend you can just do it yourself.

Go to the start area of the race you want to use your Turkey Shooter on. Then log out. Make a rogue character and run to the place your main char is at, DON'T log out. Now open af new WoW game (I'm running i windowed mode, makes it much easier). In this new brower log into your main. When you log on the other char will be logged out but because it's not in an inn it will remain for 20 sec. So when your main enters your lvl 1 char will still be there just ready to be shot with the Turkey Shooter.

I can confirm that it works as of 24/11-11

Surprisingly this isn't much more difficult now that Alliance and Horde have separate bases. Now that PvP servers allow players to make either faction characters without "locking" them into one side, you can simply have a friend make the characters you need, and then return the favor.

If you add their Real ID, you'll even be able to talk to them while they're on the other side.

Makes getting this achievement a lot more bearable, considering it can't be done while in combat (making it difficult to do in BGs).

confirmation i just did this 2 min ago start a free account for the rogues your missing go to the starting area and shoot away the only rogue i needed was the dwarf one bam im now a pilgrim hope this helps i did do the rest of the rogues legitly just this last one was making me pull my hair out.

I had the most trouble with dwarf and orc rogues.. after plenty of patrolling around Dalaran, Stormwind, Molten Front, and Tol Barad, I eventually ended up camping the Dun Morogh and Durotar starting zones. Didn't take long at all.. probably other people creating rogues for their friends to shoot, but it worked for me :)

I am a level 20 (F2P) and here are a few hints I would've needed earlier:

To find a specific Rogue of your own faction (Alliance/Horde), press "O" or enter /who Rogue - it will list you all Rogues and where they are.
For Rogues of the other faction, play Battlegrounds. Before the start, look at the enemy if the missing Rogue is there or not. If yes, try to shoot him during the battle. Not easy with the long cast time, but it always worked somehow.
Finally I had 12 shooters left and only an Orc Rogue to do. Pilgrim ended at midnight 26. November 2011 and the tables were gone, so I couldn't get any additional shooters, but I thought I could still use them. The next day at 1am (actually one hour later) all my shooters disappeared. Be aware of this, so to finish this Achievement it has to be Pilgrim. Let's try next year again.
To see what Rogues are missing, you can enable tracking: Click Achievements (Y), World Events, Pilgrim's Bounty, find Achievement Turkey Lurkey and enable the checkbox "Track". Then you see what Rogues are missing.

There are few spots which you can start searching rogues of each races:

1. Faction Capital Cities (Such as Orgrimmar or Stormwind, also I suggest Shrine of Two Moons/Seven Stars).
2. Dalaran.
3. Battlegrounds (I prefer bigger BGs like Alterac Valley or Isle of Conquest, you have bigger chance to find some rogues).
4. The Halfhill Market (There are many Horde and Alliance players, good to look for them there).

You can also create new trial account and create rogues of each required race you want, just go to the starting place where these races are and use your Turkey Shooter.

In Pandaria there are fewer neutral city options, however the best place for me by far is at Halfhill Market just outside your farmstead! Everyone flies through here during peak hours to buy seeds and plant their crops. With some patience you will hopefully get what you need. (Still haven't seen the elusive dwarf rogue of course, but I have friends I'll hit up!)

2 tips:

-It only works on unmounted players. "Invalid Target" or inability to shoot probably means your target is mounted.

-Log onto an alt on the opposite faction and /who rogue. Find the races you're looking for and politely message those players to ask for their location and to wait for you to come to use the shooter on them.

I just completed this achievement as Horde without creating a trial account for the races I needed. In MoP, this achievement is both easier and harder to get: CRZ gives you access to rogues of other realms, but more people are out in the world due to the nature of this expansion. Unfortunately, rogues from other realms will not show up on /who searches.

If you are not going to use a trial account and you are not geared/skilled at PvP, the most efficient way to go about is to create a same-realm alt of the opposite faction. Use the c-rogue r- macro (thanks Ronny). Park whatever toon you wish to get this achievement on in Shrine of Two Moons/Seven Stars due to its portals to every friendly major city and relative proximity to most daily quest hubs in Pandaria. I highly recommend you go for races that are more difficult to find at peak online hours. By far the most common races I saw were undead, human, and blood elf, so you may want to save these for last. You could also get very lucky and find people who park low leveled rogues near feast tables to help people get this achievement, I was fortunate to find an elusive dwarf rogue hanging out in Durotar doing this. :)

Even as Horde, the orc and goblin rogues were surprisingly hard to find. If you are having trouble with same faction races, I recommend queuing for AV/IOC and LFR then leaving before fighting begins. Best of luck!

Best way? For your own side, just open up the social and who tabs (and type c-rogue r-insertraceyouneed), and track them all down. For the opposite side, just go to each race's starting area. There will be a ton of low level rogues running around near by. No need to create a second trial account when there are already plenty of rogues at each area.

Even though many achievements are account-wide, you need to have credit for all the rogues on one character to get the achievement. So you need to allot 10 dailies on one toon for shooters to get this.

Oddly enough you can not shoot a rogue that is riding a Fey Dragon mount.
It gives the error "Invalid Target".

I only needed a dwarf & worgen rogue for my achievement but both were being stealthy...pun intended! I ran around Dalaran, Halfhill Market & Shattrath for these 2 but had no luck so I created a human rogue (on Area 52 US) to do the r-"Worgen" & r-"Dwarf" in the who list & made a /tar <player name> macro. Once I found out the player name, I went to the zone they were in & just spammed my macro till I found them. Having 310 flying helped tons. I keybinded my #1 & #2 keys with #1 being my /tar <player name> macro & #2 being the turkey shooter. Worked out great for me. Got my achievement finally.

All World Events DONE & DONE! I can now catch up on sleep. -_-

I can confirm, as of 2013, that if you shoot someone as they're getting on a flight path, even if it never hits them (because they're going too fast) it still counts as a hit :)

Ever since they made it so you can't shoot mounted targets anymore, rogues have had too much fun trolling people trying to get this achievement. They will stay mounted up whenever possible, and during my efforts to get this, I've lost track of how many rogues will run up to me on their mounts and make gestures at me while just sitting on their mounts and very likely laughing to themselves. Truly, how hard is it to just dismount, let the person shoot you, then right-click off the turkey buff so that people can make some progress? It's hard enough to FIND these back-stabbing jerks, so why jerk us around once we've managed to find you?

Whereas I failed once again to complete this achievement (missed it by just one Rogue this last time!), I've decided to make certain I'll get this achievement next year -- by taking advantage of having a "free to play" (i.e. "trial") license on my account. Specifically, on a low-population server, I've created eleven new characters, all of 'em Rogues (one of each allowable race), on my "trial" license. On this same server, on my "real" license (on the same account), I've created a new mage (since teleports are so useful during Pilgrims Bounty).

Next year, I'll have all of the necessary Rogues waiting at a convenient location (one at a time, obviously), ready to be tarred-and-feathered by my new mage. It's an ugly work-around, but hey, if it's crazy but it works, then it ain't that crazy after all, am I right... :-P

(I hope this idea helps others who have experienced the same frustrations as I have.)

Simple to get with the starter edition account we get (1 per account). I used it to create a dwarf rogue to get the achievement. Simply log on the "Starter Edition" version of your account, which you can access just above the "PLAY" button on the battle.net launcher. You can start two WoW client this way.

If you can't find a needed rogue, you can always create an alt, bring your main character to the same location as your new toon. While logged in on your rogue force quite WoW(ctrl+alt+f4 or if you're on Mac Cmd+Option+Esc) and immediately log in back to your main. The rogue will still be there and you can transform it in to a turkey.
Of course, for worgen and goblin you will have to pass the start zone to phase out to the real world.

You can complete Turkey Lurkey at any time if you have the Silver-Plated Turkey Shooter. The Silver-Plated Turkey Shooter counts for Turkey Lurkey, and Turkey Lurkey does not specifically say "must be completed during Pilgrim's Bounty". I tried it four hours after the 2014 event ended and Turkey Lurkey procced as I shot my last rogue.
