Cold Weather Flying requires at least 225 Skill in Riding and grants you the ability to use a flying mount (epic or non-epic) in Northrend. It can be trained at level 77 from any Cold Weather Flying Trainer found in Northrend at a cost of . This is a passive ability, and will not replace your existing flying skill, so you will still need to pay the full cost if you wish to train (Spell #34091). Level 80 players who have already learned (Spell #54197) are then given the ability to purchase the (Item #49177) for , which can be sent to another character on their account and used to learn (Spell #54197) at level 68! This, of course, means you will not have to wait until level 77 to begin using your flying mount in Northrend and should make leveling quite easier. However, since this item is Bind to Account, it cannot be sold, traded or sent to another character on a different account. This item was simply added as a perk for players leveling multiple alternate characters in Northrend. The Tome will be consumed upon use, allowing one character per item to learn (Spell #54197).
