Strangely, liferoot grows around pools in the biodomes of Netherstorm. Why you'd want to gather liferoot in Netherstorm I don't know, but it is there.(##RESPBREAK##)2056##DELIM##adashiel##DELIM##

I think the best place to farm this is in the place north-east of Menethil, as the area is full of rivers, and they are more likely found near river banks.

For those that are in their level 20's running up and down the river in Hillsbrad/Alterac is a decent find of this item if you're willing to run up and down for a while. The mobs there are only NonAgro Turtles so it's a effortless hunt.

You can notice it from the maps above, but Liferoot is only mainly found near sources of water.

A really awesome spot to find Life Root post-Shattering is the edges of Darrowmere Lake in Western Plaguelands - doing circles around it, I was able to find many, many Life Root nodes.

Tekunin's suggestion of Darrowmere Lake is fabulous, especially for a 19 twink maxing herbalism for the Lifeblood skill. The only "threat" is a rare elite named The Husk, though a stealth class can get by him.

I didn't try this, but in addition to Lifeblood there is plenty of Stranglekelp in the water. In theory, you could level herbalism from 85 to 225 at Darrowmere Lake.

As of patch 3.3.5 there isn't a single Liferoot in neither Eastern Plaguelands nor Western Plaguelands. Northern Stranglethorn is a good place to farm these. It also gives you Kingsblood.

I can confirm that there are still Liferoot in Western Plaguelands around Darrowmere Lake.

The lake around Scholomance in Western Plaguelands has abundant liferoot and stranglekelp, the two ingredients needed for Nature Protection Potion (which is a Great way for alchemists to bypass the dreaded Goldthorn bottleneck in leveling). There are also no mobs to deal with, so it's fast and easy.

I jumped on my herbalist and decided to time different zones and different routes in order to get the most amount of herbs. Keep in mind I am a HORDE DRUID, and flight/aquatic form helps out drastically with picking herbs. There are other items you can obtain through herbalism, however I'll be just stating the main herbs.

Each zone was timed for 10 minutes.
