On Heroic:

We had a party consisting of:
Healer (Priest)
Tank (Warrior)
DPS (Rogue, Hunter & Mage)

What we did was:

She will cast Storm of Grief. When this happens, everyone moves out. She will later on cast Shock of Sorrow, which is a stun effect. When she casts Shock of Sorrow, you have your tank and your healer go into the Storm of Grief. This will break the stun effect, allowing the healer to heal the tank, and the tank to keep aggro. Ofcourse, when the stun is broken, the Tank and the Healer steps out of the Storm of Grief to prevent massive damage. The rest of the party will be stunned for the whole duration, but this is not important because the fight is NOT about DPS, its about tactics.

does shadow resist aura help?i mean to take not the damn 5k dmg from Storm of Grief?

im a tankadin with quest/normal instances gear,21k hp and 22k armor so..she hit me for about 4500-5k dmg melee(500 dmg when block) and 4800 when i step into that black thing(sometimes it does only 1500-2k i dont know why)

wiped 4 times and stopped with that instance. :(

This is an incredibly healing-intensive fight. HP bars are the least of your worries. You also need to be aware of when she casts Shock of Sorrow, where the Storm of Grief is when she casts it, dispels on Pillar of Woe, and the massive damage everyone is taking.

though they nerfed blessing of sacrifice when they turned it into a "hand" (12 second duration 2 min CD vs 30 sec duration 30 sec CD) if you have a paladin healing, you can break the first shock of sorrow by using Hand of Sacrifice on the tank just before she casts it. She will then hit the tank, freeing both the tank, and the healer. You can then bubble to break the second Shock, and use Sacrifice to break the 3rd... saves a lot of damage not having to jump into the 3-5k per tic black hole on heroic.

Just a though, for Warrior tanks. The "stun" is just an incapacitate, so you can Berserker Rage out of it.

Just so fellow rogues know, Maiden of Grief is effected by Mind-Numbing Poison and it will give everyone several more second to dps (even on heroic mode) and prepare for the stun. It will also reduce her dps since she'll be wasting more time casting stuff then beating on the tank.

Yesterday we lay her down with following tactics: me as a tank while she cast shock taunt her, druid as a hil cast on me HOTs - after all stunned - she attack me - and make me unstanned - I can up aggro while all in stun.
No jums into the black holes.

Nice and easy tacts:
Run away from everything that looks dangerus!
Black hole = dangerus (does about 4k dmg each tick on heroic)
Group stun = dangerus (use racial skills and pvp trinkets and other things that helps)

Did this with 1 hunter, 2 mages and 2 paladins (one prot one holy)

moved out of black holes

I used Every man for himself and then she was dead.

Realy easy boss if u know where to move and what to do^^

She really isn't too terribly hard, on normal at least, haven't tried herioc yet. The other day we downed her no problem with myself on heals (resto druid), a frost death knight tank, retadin, hunter and a warlock. Just stay out of the big, black, ominous looking thing and you should be okay. Resto druids should keep all hots on tank at all times in case of the stun coming at a bad time and you happen to be stunned while the hots are down. Priests should probably keep renew up at all times as well for the same reason. Healadins and shamans, sorry but it will be a bit harder to heal for you probably, unless you get lucky and she doesn't stun. All in all, not really that hard.

PVP trinket definitely works to get out of Incapacitate on Heroic.

Also, Shaman Grounding Totem was absorbing something during the fight, so it helped. Also priest needs to cast Shadow Resistance.

She is wielding The Scepter of the Shifting Sands :). Probably missed the Opening of the Ahn'Qiraj Gates. Perhaps that's why she seems so sad :(.

Found a really easy tactic - bring a Demo Warlock with a massively buffed VW (Fort+Kings=Fun) and have the VW tank her while everyone else just stands back and DPS's her. The priest in our group said the heals were easy and the tank just stood there plinking AS when it was off cooldown (and tossed a heal or 2 in there because I was bored).

Another pro-tip for dealing with the shock of sorrow on heroic where the storm of grief is no joke - bring a few Sulfuron Slammer and drink it just before she finishes the cast. That way you can avoid the two ticks of storm of grief (the first when you jump in before the shock, the second that breaks your shock) and get back to healing. Note that the drink only ticks twice for 4 damage - when you first drink it, and 3 seconds after, so you can't drink it exactly when she starts casting shock, which is a 4s cast. Drink when she's halfway through the cast.

There is actually a really easy way to do this fight. As a warrior, when you see the shock of sorrow cast bar, just cast taunt. She will attack you first thing after you get stunned and then you can just resume tanking her.

Another thing that could be done, while probably not suggested, having a blood dk use Hysteria on the healer will put a tick on the healer.

(It would gimp dps for the dk, but if the group dps isn't that great to begin with, the damage would be better suited as a Shock breaker for the healer.)

Because of the long hallway, running 50 yards from her Pillar of Woe is realistic for ranged dps. You can't run from her stun, but it's a good way to run out and heal or what not. Here's a video of my hunter soloing her on normal and healing outside of 50 yards between pillars.

Yesterday we killed her with the following tactics: I was tanking; when she started casting Shock, I taunted her. The druid (as healer) cast HoTs on me (since were going to be stunned). After the stun went off, she would attack me (unstunning me), allowing me to ramp up Threat while the rest of the group was still stunned.

We didn't jump into any black holes.

I'm sure Bandcamp was smart enough to figure out what was being said. His comment just suggests that the OP doesn't seem to care much for Wowhead's second guideline:

Just because we can decipher poorly written posts, doesn't mean we should have to put up with them. Nice revision, though. =)

One point to take away from the OP is that he taunts just before the Shock of Sorrow instead of running into a Storm of Grief and implies that this causes the boss to attack him and knock him out of the incapacitate. It also implies that without the taunt, the boss would ignore the incapacitated tank (possibly going after the healer who had regained control by briefly standing in the Storm of Grief).

However, the tank should already have aggro, and Taunt "has no effect if the target is already attacking you." Mocking Blow on the other hand, which "forces the target to focus attacks on you for 6 sec.", might be the better ability to use right before Shock of Sorrow, assuming that the boss actually does ignore incapacitated targets including the tank.

SOLOED her as a blood dk tank. HoS was the H daily today, and my group only wanted to do Tribunal and Ironshaper to just knock it out. I, however, decided I wanted more badges. So, I took out the last 2 bosses myself :)

Using Glyph of the Disease you are able to refresh your diseases with Pestilence. (1x blood rune) This allows you to be able to death strike twice in a single 6 rune rotation. For this fight you have to do this constantly. Save your ams/ibf/mark of blood/summon pet -> death pact/trinkets for the void zones she drops (Storm of Grief). You just have to EAT the Pillars of Woe and Shock of Sorrow stun. Occasionally, sub in Rune Tap for Heart Strike for the normal blood runes during the rotation.

Constanlty move her around the room, and never stand in the void zones, they tick far to hard to be healed through on top of all the other dmg. ams prevents the shock of sorrow stun, not 100% sure if ibf does, I had it on cooldown and couldn't test it. If you can get her though, Krystallus is much easier to solo :) Earn those badges!

I don't think anybody has pointed it out yet, but she can be disarmed, and when she is, she stops attacking, even though many of her attacks don't even use her giant hammer. Every melee boss I've come across that can actually be disarmed will start punching, but she is the only one I've ever seen that comes to a full stop.

Tried it earlier on my Warrior tank, beats every other strategy, but might be a bug.

I had no problem soloing this dungeon on normal with my well geared DK.

My DK is geared by Triumph and some Frost emblem gear and gear form ICC 5-mans. No ICC raid gear.

I didn't even have to blow any cooldowns or summon army.

Real easy.

I was blood specced and had 40k unbuffed but I did buff with scrolls (kings, MotW, and Stm) to be safe.

Even that likely wasn't necessary.

I soloed it on normal to get the Love is in the Air roses. Worked like a charm.

I avoided UK because that boss will encase you in ice, where you can't do anything. So, without a partner to break ice blocks, i skipped that instance, which likely would have been easier since it's lower level.

Went on a farming run today for the Ornate Weapon.
For some reason when I killed this boss I was awarded 6 honor points. I've put a ticket in to see what the GM's have to say about it.

Killed maiden of grief over 100 times, no valentines items dropped at all. killed Domina Venomblade twice and got the bouquet of ebon roses.
