Brutallus

Sunwell Plateau Kalecgos & Sathrovarr Brutallus Felmyst Alythess & Sacrolash M'uru / Entropius Kil'jaeden Brutallus is a pit lord and the second boss of the Sunwell Plateau. He deals heavy melee damage and enrages quickly, thus serving as somewhat of a gear check encounter, much like Patchwerk. He can also be seen from outside the instance, where he is engaging the blue dragon Madrigosa. He succeeds in slaying the dragon and turns her into Felmyst. Abilities (Spell #45150): 20,000 fire damage. Cone-shaped attack that splits its damage evenly between all targets hit. Cannot be dodged, parried, blocked, missed, or resisted. Leaves a stacking debuff increasing fire damage taken by 75%. This ability has a one second cast time (uninterruptible) and a ten second cooldown. The debuff lasts 40 seconds. (Spell #45141): Randomly places a debuff on a player that lasts 60 seconds and deals fire damage over time. The damage ramps up over the course of the debuff, and the last two ticks will deal 3600 damage each. Undispellable, but may be resisted. (Spell #45185): Hits the primary target only. Deals heavy physical damage and reduces the effective armor of the target 50%. Also removes the burn debuff. Melee: Brutallus hits with both his mainhand and his offhand. His mainhand hits a tank for 7,000-8,000 damage, and his offhand hits a tank for 3,000-4,000 damage. He attacks relatively fast. (Spell #26662): After six minutes, Brutallus enrages and deals 500% more damage with 150% more attack speed. This enables him to one-shot a tank even with (Spell #871) active. Tips Much like Patchwerk, this encounter demands well-geared tanks to handle the damage output, well-geared healers to keep the tanks alive, and well-geared DPS to kill the boss before the enrage hits. Two tanks will be needed to prevent the meteor slash debuff from stacking too high. Brutallus is tauntable, so switching tanks is simple. DPS should not need to worry about pulling aggro due to the taunt rotations. To help mitigate the damage from meteor slash, each tank will need a few soakers to spread out the damage. These groups are best healed with area of effect healing spells like (Spell #25308), (Spell #33076), and (Spell #25423). Soakers who receive the burn debuff should run out of range of the meteor slash to avoid taking extra damage. Healers must make ample use of mana potions, mana oils, and any other forms of mana regeneration to last through the fight. DPS should make use of the appropriate elixirs and buffs to increase damage output. Do not neglect people who receive the burn debuff. The damage is low initially but it builds up and will quickly kill a player if not countered with healing. Due to the harsh enrage timer it is important to bring as many DPS classes as possible. Try to make due with eight healers and two tanks.
