Serpentshrine Cavern Hydross the Unstable The Lurker Below Leotheras the Blind Fathom-Lord Karathress Morogrim Tidewalker Lady Vashj Fathom-Guards Sharkkis (Hunter) Tidalvess (Shaman) Caribdis (Priest) Fathom-Lord Karathress is the fourth boss in Serpentshrine Cavern. The boss is widely considered a progression test for the healers in the raid. Abilities Melee: Low enough to keep one healer constantly on the main tank (until he gains new abilities) (Spell #38441): A shadow bolt damaging a random single target for 50% of their total health. The bolt can be completely resisted but not partially. Occurs every 10 seconds with an 80 yard range. Karathress with enrage after 10 minutes of the initial pull, wiping the entire raid rather quickly. Adds Karathress comes with three Fathom-Guards, each with unique abilities. See the box on the right for details. Gained Abilities (Spell #38455): Once Sharkkis dies, Karathress will gain (Spell #38373) and turns red while increasing damage dealt by 30%. (Spell #38452): Once Tidalvess dies, Karathress gains the ability to summon a (Spell #38236) with 25000 health for 1 min that repeatedly attacks multiple players for 2550 to 3450 Fire damage. (Spell #38451): Once Caribdis dies, Karathress will (Spell #38358) players by stunning all within a 10 yard range every 15-20 seconds. It also freezes the players in an ice block for 3 seconds. General Tips Raid leaders should determine which add is better to kill first for their guild. There are a mixed amount of opinions on whether or not the Spitfire or Beast Within is less deadly to the raid once given to Karathress.
