On reaching exalted with Argent Dawn, you are given a quest asking you to hand in 25 Argent Dawn Valor Tokens in exchange for this shoulder enchant item. Then you can buy extra at the quartermasters. Using the item to enchant BoE gear will bind it to you, and you cannot use the enchant through the trade window.

The Inscription offered by the Violet Eye mages outside Karazhan gives +7 all resistance and is easier to obtain for 70's, as the rep granted for killing elite Scourge members is reduced at 70, as is the rep for RRQ's.

it is possible to get this enchant at lvl 55. The only other requirement is being exalted with AD. Not so bad for 59 twinks, as the average 59 twink wont have any shoulder enchants at all.

I tried this on a BoA shoulder as a place-holder for zandalar tribe shoulder enchants, and this does infact work on BoA shoulders.

*edit* Now that all shoulder and head enchants require certain levels to activate, this enchant has become obsolete for twinking, as it requires (IIRC) level 50.

As of 3.1.1 this enchant requires level 50 to function on a Bind on Account shoulder piece.

That is to say, you can use this to enchant a BoA shoulder item, and the item can still be worn at any level, but the enchant will not be active until the wearer is level 50+. You will notice that the enchant shows as red in the item's tooltip until the level requirement is met.

Still a useful enchant though.

Blizz has gone to making shoulder enchants available to all of your characters (with appropriate level requirements to prevent OP twinks)...so you only have to do the rep (or honor/stone) grind on one toon.

This applies to Sons of Hodir (req lvl 80), Wintergrasp (req lvl 80), Honor (req lvl 70), Violet Eye (req lvl 70), Aldor (req lvl 64), Scryer (req lvl 64), Argent Dawn (req lvl 50), and Zandalar Tribe (req lvl 55), enchants.

The enchants can be placed on gear worn by low levels (e.g. BoA gear), but the enchant will be red until the character reaches the required level. The BoA enchants (LK) can be mailed from character to character. For the non BoA enchants (PreBC and BC), you have to have the gear in your inventory to enchant it. It can not be applied through the trade window (so enchanting your lowbie's quest reward gear is out).

BTW, the first one is rewarded by a quest, once u done the quest once, the others u can buy them... just if anyone's wondering

I've been looking to get this for the Heirloom shoulders; I went to the vendors and it wasn't listed. I sent a GM a message to see if it was still available, she replied back to me after I logged out and she did say that it was still in game (guess that's somewhat helpful). I have looked into the pre-reqs and saw they have been removed from live... My new question is: Is it still possible to get this even if I didn't do the pre-quest before it was removed?

I was able to purchase all of the shoulder enchants except for this one, from both Argent Dawn quartermasters. Furthermore I was able to apply it to BOA shoulders and mail them to an alt. The alt has neutral rep with Argent Dawn and the enchant was active at level 50.

These are still available to be purchased in 5.04 (if you did the original quests pre-Cataclysm). I have no idea if they actually do anything, but they are still on all of my alts' heirloom shoulders.

I have just asked a GM if this item still works (on my heirlooms, Patch 5.3) since it doesn't show anywhere, that resistances have any use anymore. This is the reply:

"With the item it will work, however as it requires level 50 it won't be active until the character with the item hits level 50. Below that the enchant will simply show on the item as being red and give no benefits."

Furthermore, GM also wrote:

"As of patch 5.0.4, player resistances have been removed from all but certain older pieces of gear.

In most of those cases, the "resistance" listed on the gear isn't actually bestowed on the character, however a very few pieces of gear still provide actual resistance and will result in some spell damage being partially resisted.

As this is only in regards to some older gear that is specifically aimed at offering resistance (and scrafices item level from other stats to do so) it will have very little to no impact on the game as a whole."
