Despite what the achievement says, it seems you have to get 3 caps, and have NO deaths at the end of the BG to receive the achievement.

Captured 3 flags in an EoTS with no deaths between the first and third, but two deaths prior to the first, and did NOT receive the achievement.

You can have deaths in the battle, however not prior to beginning the 3 cap streak.

Your run should look like this:

Battle Begins: Cap (1), Cap(2), Cap(3). After those 3 you may die in the battle as much as you want, just not BEFORE the first cap.

I don't know about you people, but I just joined a random one, and me and another were just funneling the flag, the Alliance didn't even go for it(too busy defending I guess) and I got it as soon as I hit the 3rd cap. To which afterwards I said "Yay" in my mind and continued on with my life. If I had known this achievement was apparently buggy to a few people, I would have done a even bigger "Hooray!" . But, as said previously, Just get it to the point where you can farm the flag, and just keep it coming without a death, so if you see people coming to center, run for your life, or risk restarting the Achievement. Now, my personal %^&* off one has to be the killing 5 flag carriers in 1 EoTS.

This was relatively easy as a rogue. Stealth near the flag, wait for an opportunity, then grab and run. Use your survival CDs if needed, then vanish and wait for your next opportunity.

I spoke with a GM just a few minutes ago about my own attempt and failure at this achievement. Apparently its coded so that you cannot die at all in the match prior your third cap, as was stated previously. Any death (even before your first cap) will disqualify you from this achievement.

According to the GM I spoke with, this is "working as intended" and that the achievement text is just vague and open to misinterpretation in this case.

I completed this achievement some day ago and I can now see what the objectives say clearly.
Translation on Blizzards weird way of explaining things: From the beginning of eots to all 3 flags are capped you're not allowed to die in order to get this., gives credit on the third cap (Instant22 is mentioning this also above)

As mentioned before - Don't die, get it three times, then you may die.

Just capped the flag around 7 times without dying, but unfortunately I died before the first capturing.

What if I've died in a EotS game before the current one? According to stated reasoning, that would disqualify for me the achievement too.

Actually, the description would enable you to simply cap the flag three times in a single game to get the achievement, independent of deaths before, in between, or after, since you can't cap the flag if you die. "Capture the flag 3 times without dying." Example:

01:00 Die
02:00 1st cap (first cap, didn't die)
03:00 Die
04:00 2nd cap (didn't die this time either)
05:00 Died (crap! l2p)
06:00 3rd cap (omg, I capped without dying)
-------------
3 caps, didn't die once during any of them

Without the irony, I've done Ironman a couple of times (only getting the achievement once ofc), which have the same description, but I don't know if I died before starting the sequence though? Anyhow, capping three times in single EotS game without dying in between should give you this achievement, anything else is a bug.

Edit: I can now confirm that you may die after you've capped 3 times, but not before or in between ...still a bug in my point-of-view.

Still bugged I would say, thought I had it too and did not get credit... Was really hoping to get this one out of the way too, just got Ironman a few days prior.

Yeah, I got this tonight - I had no deaths from the start of the match, got the 3 caps and achievement, so at least it's not totally broken, just requires some extra luck/good teammates...

As of the 31st, May, 2011: still bugged. Simply DON'T die prior to taking and capturing 3 flags. If you die while capturing any of them, or beforehand: re-que QQ :/

Got this on the 1st of August on Horde on my frost mage. Had full vicious gladiator gear fully gemmed so having good resistance helps you survive the onslaught while you are capping.

Basically what I did was hang around between BE and FR looking to see who was at the Flag. When it was clear I went in and took it capped. If enemies approach no matter where you are you have to run/blink/root/stun them till you get away - generally they will give up the chase in EoS due to the fast turnover of bases. In most EoS, you have about 8 or 9 flag caps in total for both teams, so capping the flag is not the most important thing - the most important thing is not dying before 3rd cap. Yes that means you run away and have to watch from a distance where the enemy is but you cannot die before third cap - if you have flag and you are outnumbered - drop it and get away till you have support. During my second cap I went in with a team to get the flag and waited till my teammates burned the enemies down to 1 or 2, and then kept trying to cap flag till I was first one to grab. At that point I had a healer escort so its pretty much difficult to do this solo (I already tried numerous times).

Third cap I got lucky, I was waiting for flag reset with 4 others, I told them I needed the last cap for achievement and luckily they were cool enough to allow me to grab and provide me with an escort home to cap it 3 times.

You definitely need teammate cooperation for this if you are a cloth or non-melee class, in my opinion. Usually link the achievement in the chat and most people will try to help you if you are nearly about to get it. I did notice one thing when I saw people get this achievement too, your team really has to be dominating - not 1200-100 or anything like that but it has to be clear that your team are winning decently and that the enemy is not interested in fighting for the flag as they are busy fighting for bases.

Just reported it to a GM. He said it was not bugged and that it works like devs wanted to.
You must not die before capturing the flag three times.

Was trying for this today. Capped flag 6 times, no achievement. Realized I had died previously. Pissed me off but oh well, better luck next time I guess.

Just got this one earlier on my Disc Priest healer which is also an Engineer. I think two main factors made it possible for me: 1.) By using my Goblin Glider+Rocket Boots, I was successful in stealing the flag before any Horde arrived in the middle. 2.) I then sat on the flag at MT for several minutes before capping it, which encouraged the Horde to forget about the middle.

As usual, some fighting ensued briefly in the middle, but I told my teammates I wasn't going to cap the flag and that we should play bases instead (which were drawing up 2-2 initially). After a few minutes, the middle cleared and the Horde made a push to capture one of our bases, at which point I capped the flag with a friendly Druid calling out for its respawn. With the Horde pushing hard for MT to take a 1-3 tower lead, I made my escape and the Druid and I traded a couple caps before they realized we were running a train on the flag. The Druid held onto the flag for several more minutes before making his 2nd cap while I bided my time waiting for the middle to clear. I saw a chance with the Horde pushing hard for DR, called out for him to cap it, and then promptly grabbed the respawn for my 3rd cap.

As of 6.0.3 this achievement seems completely broken. Twice, I have capped 3 flags without dying during the entire battle, yet neither time has this achievement been awarded. Doesn't look like the battleground is even recording flag caps, ever, making this achievement currently unobtainable.

If like me your ultimate goal was Battlemaster , then you're basically screwed. I don't see Blizzard fixing this anytime soon...

Edit: Looks like Blizz finally fixed this. Flag caps are registering again. Got the achievement today.

Weird, I got the Achieve in game, but its not showing in armory, what gives? I was happily going to look and gloat and *gasp* no achieve. Dangnabit. It was a random PuG, no-one was mid, i just ran it over and over again, like I was the only person in the BG. We won, I never died, hmmm....still buggy?
