In Battle for Azeroth, any crafts you’ve learned in the past will still be there and not need to be re-learned, with the exception of First Aid. Tailoring and Alchemy crafts, bandages, and anti-venoms that used to be in First Aid will have to be re-learned. https://t.co/rd3ugV8Rqo— WarcraftDevs (@WarcraftDevs) March 21, 2018

For recipes, I always learn them. No matter how hard to get or rare, Ill always learn them. Sometimes I make the money back I would of got by making the item and selling it, but its 50/50. I'm just to big a collector not to learn it. Best recipe I learn would prob be the Fel Steel Longsword. I occasionally make one or two a month, sell it between 10k to 30k for a quick profit. Grabbed the recipe for 50k. Good deal.
when I get recipe I learn it in some situation you get more when you sell final item
I agree with the other posters. If I don't know the recipe I learn it, without exception. One aspect of wow I really enjoy is the collecting. Same thing with transmog. Unless it's a current high value boe, if I don't have the appearance, I learn it. FIrst set of Jade Legplates that dropped, for example. Min buyout was well over 100k at that point, but I didn't have it. Had to learn it. It all comes down to what's most important to you though. Do you value gold or collecting more? Everyone has to set their own priorities.
Sad but sort of funny that "overcutting"-- or in other words, putting the half a second of thought into your price instead of just selling at whatever your app or *cough* addon tells you to-- is treated as such an advanced, unheard-of concept. If you think it's weird I sound annoyed about it, you must not have trolls on your server who have no discernible goal but to drive mats prices down as much as possible.
12 toons + gold missions = 6 million gold and counting so far this xpac. And that's after purchasing a million + gold in factions goodies.
Heeey, good to see a Samadan vid in the guide. Great stream, worth a look!
The most expensive recipe I ever farmed was Nightfall from original Vanilla (beneficial for raids with the increased spell damage). It required exalted to Thorium Brotherhood (which at the time was much more difficult). I was one of only two axe-specialized blacksmiths on the server with that recipe and actually had people buying them from horde side. I didn't sell *MANY*... but it was more of a prestige and personal achievement for my own self rather than anything else.As for profit, nope... never made a profit on it.
