I still have a lot of TCG items I want to buy. As I'm a collector, I want to buy them regardless of how they look and if I'm going to use them or not.I also need to have gold if/when I buy boosts to get the Legion mount/titles that are going away in the next expansion. I don't raid, so that's the only way for me to get these. So I'm sitting on millions of gold right now, but I won't be spending any of that on tokens until I have enough surplus to spend other than boosts at the end of every expansion :P
Regarding the discussion point at the end of "Balance Gifting", this is something I have thought about a lot. Its hard to put an exact number on how much gold I would pay for a Token but after a month of playing and the costs that come with it (repairs, transmogs, saving up for expensive mounts, etc) I would gladly pay somewhere between equal to my monthly expenditures to double. I don't want to farm for gold, I want to be earning it so I can feel more responsible spending it on game time. I'd happily spend my actual money on game time if it meant I missed a month's gold-for-token goal.
Thank you for the contest!Sadly I haven't got an invite to the Beta yet; hopefully I can try these new features before August!Wow token, as someone on wow economy reddit said, I would pay infinite (almost) gold for. I don't have that much of a spare income, so gold in game translated to "cash" is important for me. I wouldn't sell tokens unless something changed drastically.I have participated in almost all DMFs. Never have I used it as a source of income before, good food for thought!I usually repost my auctions once a day, when I log in. Currently in the pet/transmog market which is very slow. I consider expanding to gathering professions in the new expansion to enjoy faster, albeit smaller, sources of income.
i cant watch netflix and do other things; i am trying level alts now because in my realm auction house is dead
I have been using Gold from mission to pay my sub since WOD but it has become much harder with all the price increases. I am now struggling to makew 2 months so thing like pack purchases forHearthstone might be a thing of the past. I have been naking money on other realms with AH but not enough toi make tokens :(
I usually repost my auctions as soon as they expire. The more time up in the AH the more chances for them to be bought. As for making gold in BFA, I plan on doing what I did for legion and farm cracting mats so sell early on.
Darkmoon Faire isn't around the beginning of BFA? I don't know how I missed that announcement, though it makes sense. Usually I get goblin advice from this series, but I rarely expect to get game info advice as well.
Does the Darkmoon Rabbit have a chance to drop every time you kill the boss or only once per week? Seems like I have to add DmF to my farming list then^^
Always look back and wish I bought more tokens, now that it's at 200 I want to wait for it to go down but it really only a matter of time before I start kicking myself in the ass for not buying them at 200k -_-,Plz drop back to 55k
I'll buy tokens as long as they comfortably fit within my monthly gold income. Right now I've got 20 characters at maximum level generating roughly a million gold total each month, so tokens aren't a big issue. However, with BfA on the horizon it's not clear that such an income will be possible, and in the event my income drops I'll probably sit on some gold and resort to a subscription instead.
Considering the Darkmoon Fish bufffood is scaling with level and one of the strongest if not the strongest bufffood in the game, there will be a high demand in BfA. I'm already fishing every Month but thank you for reminding me to stock up.
I miss the days when the NA token prices were under 100k - and I won't spend over 200k for one. I'd rather just let my sub pay my way.
I have yet to get an invite to beta. I used to get beta back before Legion. CATA and WOD beta were the most memorable. But unfortunately for me, this would be the second year in a row that blizzard has decided to stop handing me one. I'm not sure why it stopped, but ill try just as hard as I did last year to get one! I do have my auction house on my Deathknight, which used to be my main for WOD. But now I main a resto druid and have been planing to get the Auction house on her too. As for the phasing issue, I personally haven't found many issues with the phasing. But I can see how it can create a problem.
How often do you participate in the Darkmoon Faire? Have you ever used the event to make gold? What's your favourite Darkmoon Faire game?Every month, and I do pretty much what you recommend here. Fishing while farming the wolf and the rabbit, and my favorite game is probably Whack-a-Hogger
Bought ALOT of tokens when they were 300k, now i hope they will reach 600k so i get some free money.Time to sit and wait xD
The darkmoon faire is always a good money maker. I don't really camp for the rabbit but whenever I go there, I'm always checking for "rabbit" in the group finder.Great thing to be able to gift battle.net balance too!
"How often do you participate in the Darkmoon Faire? Have you ever used the event to make gold? What's your favorite Darkmoon Faire game?"I participate in the Faire every month. I use a 5man multi-box team to fish while waiting for the rabbits, and then occasionally going over to the den mother for a chance at moon moon. I sell all the rabbits and moon moon's I get, as well as the fish feast and raw fish to make gold. I also get enough firewater's from fishing crates, to use during the month while I'm farming old herbs/ore on the 5man team, which is a nice bonus. I don't play games on the 5man team but, on a solo character I enjoyed the races the most.
How often do you repost your auctions? How many markets do you feel comfortable in? What are you going to do next to expand your gold-making?I usually don't repost my auctions, I let the expire these days. I used to use the mobile AH at work and repost, but with that gone now, I only have time to post once in the evening. I expect I'll get back into the herb market when the exp hits and then branch into flasks once the initial rush dies down and raiding gets going.
How often do you participate in the Darkmoon Faire? Have you ever used the event to make gold? What's your favorite Darkmoon Faire game?I only participate in the darkmoon faire when i had a lingering quest item that i picked up that required going there. Then i may try to collefct more tickets when im there. I have been trying to collect the pets and mounts for my own collection but not to make gold. Some of the racing games are hard. My favorite game would be the flying firebird challenge because you can see the whole faire from above.
