I am not a big raiding fan, so I don't make the big gold bucks. I have issues with talking to people, IRL, and I think it translates over to the game world. I hit 200K gold once, saving up for like 3 months, and then blew 90% on pets and toys. For me, I post my auctions and they either sell or drop off, and then I either repost or hang on until no one else has that item in the ah, and then I post again. I am a very bad example of a strong market player, lol. I would need to hit 400K steadily for me to buy token IRL to toss on the AH. I'm paying for 3 WoW accounts (me, my husband and son) so I'm about tapped on the money front.
Yes, I received my beta invite, but only have gone through the opening scenario. I am happy we will have a garrison AH again.
I am always astounded by the price of the EU token compared to the US one. I have purchased tokens in the past for subscription, but am a bit reluctant to at the moment given the price, although I do keep an eye on the cost.
Thank you for the time and effort you put into this weekly article. Almost every week I find a little gem in here that I can use to make a little on the side. While I'm not trying to hit a gold cap, it is nice to be able to quickly buy a new pet, or turn something into a quick profit, because I have the liquid gold to do it on a whim. Again, thank you for the weekly effort and keep up the great work!
Wow I didn't even pay attention to the Darkmoon Faire event. I might have visited once or twice and my favourite game is the mole game. I didn't even think that I could get a lot of gold from it, but now that I know... *goblin mode activated*
How often do you participate in the Darkmoon Faire? I don't often participate in the Darkmoon Faire :/ I think I only have participated once or twice (loooong ago). I always seem to miss it for some reason haha.Have you ever used the event to make gold? I think I've only went there for fun. Because back then I didn't really know that you could make gold there xD.What's your favourite Darkmoon Faire game?I still remember how I loved that game where you tossed a ring onto a turtle. I think it's called 'Ring Toss!'. It was very funny to me xD
Hello, since I'm a working man and I do not have enough time to play and still have enough time for farming gold for wowtoken so I prefer to play time and gold to use for the purchase of raw materials etc. but if it was wowtoken for 200k max I would probably bought.
I have participated in the darkmoon faire and never thought of it as a selling point. There are so many avenues of items to sell to beef up my account. As a goblin I feel that I have failed my family and ancestors by not knowing this. My excuse is that I'm still young and just finding my own way. I am up to the task and will make a killing . Thank you for the info.
I usually just have Auctioneer just repost my auctions for me. I just keep going until they sell since I find it easier to keep stuff in the AH rather than my bags.
For an old auction house "player" it was never an issue to earn significant amount of gold, every expansion comes down to a few dozen different items when it comes to steady AH earning. With the introduction of transmogrification things got a bit more interesting but the gold income from tmog is volatile so very few items are worth bothering. Reposting twice a day is quite enough, timing is everything. early noon and late afternoon are the key moments, of course not every item works for both times. Honestly Darkmoon island is a waste of time when it comes to gold making, greatest "boost" from the Faire is the one from pet battles.
Wow, the price for the wow token is insane. You're only away for a few days and next time you look, it's 50k gold higher. o.o It seems to be a lot more lucrative to buy game time for money, if you have a paid full time job, rather than spending time farming gold for a token ingame... But well, I seem to suck at farming (and keeping) gold... I would only be buying the tokens for game time otherwise, even if they cost 400k. xDThanks for the weekly wrap up, lots of good information here.
Wish there was some solution to the EU token prices :SDid not know about the DMF gold farming. Will give it a try plus that water mount means I don't have to hunt Poseidus.
How often do you participate in the Darkmoon Faire?I always attended the Darkmoon Faire, whenever it was "in town", on at least 3 of my characters, since there was always something I looked forward to doing there, mostly out of nostalgia. :D Whether it was farming Darkmoon Daggermaws, pet battle dailies, Herbalism/Inscription/Archaeology/Cooking/First Aid one-timers, getting the rabbit/moon moon or simply doing a daily or two or waiting around on a concert, it was always fun! \ D: /Have you ever used the event to make gold?I never skipped on an opportunity to make a pretty copper or two along the way :P and I've mainly done so by selling a few Daggermaws now and then...What's your favourite Darkmoon Faire game?Definitely has to be Tonk Commander xD pew pew!
Was away from WoW until ~3 months ago and my server turned low pop while I was gone, so am trying to get used to that. During that time the AH has come under "control" by a few individuals. Have given a thought to using trade chat now and again but have never gone through with it - seems everyone just uses it for items they can't post on the AH.
What kind of maximum price would you pay for a Token with gold?I'd be willing to pay up until 400k. But that's only assuming the passive streams of gold income didn't change to less gold/month or so, or at least stayed the same in BFA. I wouldn't want to specifically farm gold to be able to play, because it kind of defeats the purpose, especially if it takes long periods of time each month to only make up for the next month of game time. I don't want to spend time farming gold, I want to spend time playing the content I enjoy. In legion, it was very easy, because you could easily and quite passively make the token's worth of gold in a month. The moment it's not case I'm probably gonna start buying game time with real money, because quite simply, if farming gold for a token takes longer for you than making a month of game time's worth of money, it's not worth farming the gold then is it.
A 90 day free gametime seems really nice considering i ended my sub 2 years ago, this could really get me back to the game
I've never understood how people earn so much gold in game. I don't think I've ever had more than 200k at any one time in the 14 years I've been playing. I don't actively try to earn gold, I mostly focus on collecting mounts, pets and transmog items. I used to participate a lot in the Darkmoon Faire until I ran out of pets and mounts to collect. I don't really find any of the games enjoyable since I play on a laptop with a mouse pad and graphics settings on the lowest possible, all those things combined make the games more difficult.Level appropriate raids and dungeons are off the menu for me due to social anxiety, but I will run old content by myself or with my husband as soon as I am able, but the issue with personal loot has ruined that aspect of the game until the next expansion.
I didn't know the Darkmoon Faire could be so profitable. I would always go down there once or twice just for kicks while it was going on. Now that I'm learning to be a goblin I see the opportunity for gold making.
I do participate in the Faire every month with my main and sometimes with an alt or two. I haven't used it to make money, but now I might.
Thanks a lot, very interesting !
