Man, I didn't even know that the Darkmoon Faire wouldn't be showing up in early BfA! Thanks for the heads-up, my dude; now I know what I'll be spending most of my time doing when it's up this month.
Well, my biggest gold farm right now is the rogue class hall quest from Griftah. Can anyone in Beta please respond if this quest is still there in Beta, and is it still awarding 4999.99 gold?
There are plenty of ways to make profit of Darkmoon, for instance fishing up Darkmoon Firewater or selling unopened prize boxes (you can sell tickets that way)
I'm glad I checked this post out. I completely forgot about the Darkmoon Rabbit & Moon Moon pets. I got lucky with Moon Moon and got her toys & mount, but completely forgot about the pet. Looks like I'll be keeping my eye out while I'm farming for the Skate.
I repost my auctions when they expire or a bit sooner depending on the item. I usually stay in the transmog/pet market and I've grown quite used to it tbh, I managed to sell some tcg pets for quite some gold being patient. I'm thinking about running some old dungeons like uldaman and see if I get some rare transmogs, I've had my monk stationed there from quite some time but I've yet to start doing it.
It sucks that they won't have the Darkmoon Faire immediately in the new expansion, but I'm really looking forward to spending time fish farming this month. I've had bad luck with getting into rabbit groups in the past, here's hoping this month works out better!
The PvP changes are interesting. I've not dipped into anything PvP-related since I began playing WoW around 2/3rds of the way into Warlords so that will definitely be a thing to keep an eye on. Should be able to spend some real time on this month's Darkmoon Faire, so gold ahoy!
First of all thank you for another well written weekly wrap up, it's great to see much is still going on even though the expansion is slowly turning down.I can't wait to see if they put in some new way of acquiring the recipes in BfA or if we are to do the quest line again. If we are to do quest line then it'll be needed to level multiple characters to utilize the benefits of early on crafting. The EU token price has always been higher, but I would imagine we would see a cap at some point, else the value of e.g. TCG mounts/pets simply drop in real life money value due to the fact that it's cheaper to buy the token, convert to gold and buy it off the auction house or from someone in game.Keep up the good work goblins!
I try to make more in a month than the cost of a NA token and that's about it. I had been more active before the gold cap increase. The increase made the TCG mount prices skyrocket, which was the only other thing I had been saving my gold for. I haven't been able to adjust my brain to something I was saving 350k for now being posted for 4-6mill, so using <200k (for now) for a token that I won't be spending on mounts seems worth it to me. But as long as I'm always netting a positive balance after a token purchase, I'll keep buying them.
Wow! Didn't know for the Darkmoon Faire either! Time to stock some fish for the future ;)
Did you get an invite to the Beta yet?Yes, Alpha even. But only got to Level 104 before the Character Wipe. The new Character is on 102 right now.Do you already have your Garrison Auction House?Yes, got some of the parts during Draenor and the last few at the beginning of Legion. How do you deal with phasing issues in capital cities?I wasn't aware that there are phasing issues.
I did get an alpha and beta invite, but I'm focusing more on making gold in current content than exploring what will happen in BFA. I mainly play WoW for the questing experience and lore so I'd like to not be spoiled on anything.
I never understood the need the AH in your garrison, I mean its nice but paying so much for so little always went over my head. I had enough of Ashran back in WoD so there is no way Im returning there just to get the auction parts
I'm currently using game gold to pay for tokens (using an army of alts & order hall missions), but the EU price annoys me, cause it's so much higher than the NA - like the poster above me, i'd like to see a cap (or maybe blizz can reset the price).Despite using order halls to generate gold, i also dabble in the AH, but i very rarely cancel & repost, i pretty stack if it's mats to get a higher price (though oddly no one will buy my pretty stacks of starlight roses, i have to sell them in 1's lately to get them to sell)
I visit the Darkmoon Faire occasionally if only to have fun with the games. Last time I finished fishing for my Darkwater Skate but will return for the pets as well. Pity the Faire won't be around at the start of BfA.
I haven't purchased a token in order to have in-game gold yet but with the current price it is very tempting!
Having the Garrison AH is so amazing and under-rated. I set up mine because my realm used to have a serious problem with a Horde multi-boxer who loved killing and camping the auction house NPCs for hours on end. Never having to deal with phasing, capital city lag, people stacking on top of or ganking the auctioneers is all a plus. I think my favorite thing about the Garrison AH though is the AH, bank and mailbox are all pretty close to begin with and being able to zip between them on flying mount the entire time and never be dismounted is a definite plus.
As I watched the token price increase a few months ago I decided it was time to dump my stash of gold. That paid for my next six months of WoW subscription.
How often do you repost your auctions? How many markets do you feel comfortable in? What are you going to do next to expand your gold-making?I repost 2-3 times a day adn im working on at least 5 markets. thinking about starting to make alch
I think the spike for the token price and the price difference between US and EU are caused by many different things. For once, I think that people in Europe have more spare money. I think that living conditions in the EU are way better, rent is way cheaper and there are less unplanned expenses with for example health care. It's way easier to safe up money in europe than it is in the US. So I think there are WAY more people in europe who buy tokens and sell them for ingame gold. So there is way more money in the game that gets distributed. Also I think that the spike is caused by blizzard doing a "buy BfA expansion, get Legion for free" action. More players are coming back right now, potentially also people with a lot of gold. Hmm.. I hope Blizzard adds more goldsinks in the future. Inflation is a scary thing!
