Out of Ick and Krick, you only actually damage Ick, Krick's minion/mount/slave.

A fairly simple fight. Avoid the nasty green stuff on the ground, because you do that in almost every instance fight. When he starts casting Poison Nova, pull an Emalon and run away. If he pursues you, pull a Supremus and run away. If he starts putting down mines, pull an Anub'arak and watch the ground.

When he's not casting one of those things, turn around and whip the hell out of him. Not tough, and you get to watch your guide brutally murder a gnome afterwards, which provides many lulz.

The Fight is not hard, as long as you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. Most of the time is running away from EVERYTHING he does. We had no difficult time doing this, but when he does one skill he is almost sure (at least now) to do something right after it. This is kind of how it went down:

He used Explosive Barrage
Then he used Pursuit
After the Pursuit was done he did Poison Nova
Then goes into Explosive Barrage again.

Finally we got some more time to DPS on him and he went down like a sack of bricks. But it looks like you spend more time running around then anything else.

As the skills says above, make sure that if you are not being pursued that you DPS him, he takes another 50% damage from all sources.

In the event something goes horribly wrong, Ick is resettable. You can kite him to the east down the road.

How easy for shaman healer? Both this guy & Garfrost sound easy in theory; just pop a resistance totem + talented & glyphed HS (and make sure the DPS aren't retarded :P). Would appreciate a healer's view on this fight, thanks

This guy isn't hard at all.
he will throw some poison on the ground. Guess what? yep, you guessed right, move out of it.
He will make some bubbles above you, move out of them
He will pursue you, move to avoid him.
~~I also noticed he has a slightly less amount of armor on my dk !unconfirmed!~~
So and so, this is propably the easiest boss in pit of saron

It seems his pursuit has a very weird range, he can one-shot you while you're out of melee range (and no, it's not me lagging.). Just an advice, run very far away from him when he starts casting pursuit, and stay at a large distance if he does idd pursuit you.

Was tanking this on heroic, no problems until he pursued our hunter and she used Feign Death. He turned around and one-shot me before I knew wth happened.

Please don't use feign death, or vanish, or anything else that will get you out of combat. Just run away; he's not even walking at normal speed!

This boss doesnt do any significant dmg, all spells are easy to avoid if u know what to do. When healer and 2 other dps died because of poison nova me(frost tank) and arcane mage downed him from 200K on hc. Boss kept chasing mage and we nuked him easily. Still mage died in the end because of poison.

Just some trivia here. Ick is the first and only NPC so far ingame to have the skin "superzombieFlesh".

Hey guy... you got a small, pink thing on your back.

The only things to watch out for would be the Pursue and Poison Nova abilities. These can 1-shot DPS and do a number on even the best geared tanks, but the only reason you'd ever die from them is not paying close attention. The vocal cues are very distinguishable from one another, so if sound is turned on, you should know what's coming, DBM or no.

When running from the Exploding Orbs, running over spots where an orb just blew up helps a lot, since their respawn timer is significant enough that he doesn't cast it in the same place immediately.

Important thing to note.

Apparently Ick is smarter than the Big Bad Wolf in Karazhan. Or at least Krick is.

If he's pursuing one of your friends, do NOT get in front of him.

He WILL hurt you, unlike the Big Bad Wolf.

Apparently, with greater iLevel drops comes greater boss skill.

Ick is actually really amuzing to watch. If you sit for just a few seconds you can see him remove his left arm, scratch his own back with it, then stick it back in it's socket....

Really a pretty easy fight if you have Deadly Boss Mods. For the most part this is a survival fight and not a dps race. He will do the same things over and over, just live through them and dps him down.

Stay out of poison (duh):
^Poison Nova Cloud does some nasty AOE damage to melee dps and tank, so be sure to get out of his range.

Run when he is chasing you:
(if you are a hunter you can feign death and chase will stop).

Everyone run same direction (like clockwise) when he is trying to blow you all up...
^Hunters can use certain shots and still do minor dps while running. Learn how to use jump shot hunters!

Just out of curiosity, how dangerous is Pursuit to a tank? I've always run away from him when he has it on me because I didn't want to test it.

I believe Ick & Krick are a reference to Gorc & Pic in the Star Wars video game "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II"

Pic sits on Gorcs shoulder the same as Krick.
Pic and Gorc are also opposites.
Pic is the small, energetic voice and brains.
Gorc is the slow, quiet, dim-witted body.

For whatever reason, this tends to be the most deadly encounter in the instance from my experience. Even Garfrost sees fewer deaths, and I find him significantly more complicated.

How to Survive Ick 'n' Krick
- If he casts Poison Nova, run.
- If he starts casting Arcane bombs, stay away from them.
- If he pursues you, run.
- Much like the fires, the poison does not buff you.

Basically, if it sounds bad, run.
