I have killd him like 8 times and he drops greens every time! He is often stuck under water so he avoid allmost every ranged attack. He is Worth killing if you ask me. And a really nice thing is that he is on the same place that Foreman Grills and Engineer Whirleygig that also is rare mobs that drops green items almost every time.

Sludge Beast lvl 19 rare. Engineer Whirleygig lvl 19 rare. Foreman Grills lvl 18 rare.

This rare mob is an Ooze. I seen him in the water at the sledge fen in the barrens. Also in the area is found Engineer Whirleygig lvl 19 Rare. Happy hunting. He was in the control tower next to Supervisor Lugwhizzle.

I saw him just yesterday, took him on as a lvl 18 and he dropped like 2 greens.

Seems like this guy has a very good drop rate
dropped a lvl 14 green mace (upgrade to what i had)
and lvl 20 cloth of the eagle gloves

Roughly speaking, when you say this mob is Rare, about how often on average does it spawn...once a day...once a week....less often?

Just curious as I've spent a few hours the last 2 days in a row keeping platform cleared out and watching the water below with no sign of him...

I just killed Sludge Beast and he drop Outrunner's Cuffs of Strength and Raider's Gauntlets of the Bear. 8:19pm EST May 3 Azshara server

Found him on the bottom of the SLudge Fen... too bad he was perma evading...

Edit: a bit later, he came up from the water and attacked me, dropped 2 random greens

Wow i killed this guy then the rarespawn foreman came and i killed him too then i went up and the rarespawn engineer was up there but he killed me.=(

Seems pretty common for this bugger to drop 2 greens. I got Outrunner's Cord of the Monkey and Raider's Belt of the Bear. (Sucks I'm a hunter not a warrior/pally!)

This guy came slithering around the sludge pool. He is an ooze. Was marked as a 19+ (elite) was not hard at all (I was lvl 21 warrior). Dropped 2 green items.

This ooze creature spawns at The Sludge Fen, Barrens :)

He is easily soloable for 15+ :)

He's not elite, Just rare, Took him down as a lvl 17 mage. Dropped 2 greens, both of use to me :)

So far I've killed him numerous times, but the times which I remember I've always looted 2 or more greens. This mob is very easy but he seems to evade some hits underwater, maybe blizzard should fix that!

Solo'd him easy as 17 warrior, two greens, go after t his guy as soon as you see. He's cake to kill. Does have a spell that causes you to attack half as fast tho.

This guy is really nice because his green drop rate is such that he nearly always drops 2 greens instead of one, which is really rare... for a rare... He is in the water in Sludge Fen, probably it was named after him.

I saw Sludge Beast and Foreman Grills at the same time. Killed both, got 2 greens off beast, 1 off of foreman. Ran up ramp, saw Engineer Whirleygig...killed him too....don't know if that happens too often all at one time and one area, but it did for me tonight on The Forgotten Coast server
