Seconding this. So far haven't seen less than 2 fire crystals drop per mob yet. Only downside being their abnormally large amount of hp.

It seems you have to be in control of wintergrasp to see any of the revenant types so I'm guessing that's one of the rewards for holding it since the drop rate off all the revenants is great for their respective crystalline parts. I could be wrong but the horde I saw nearby were completely ignoring the revenants.

Quest possible? I'm level 79, I have the quest, the first 8 Eternal flames dropped on the first 4 mobs. But I cannot get the last 2 to drop, anyone know?

This mobs have 100% of Crystallized Fire they drop 1-3 each time. but they hit for about 600. and 25.800 hp, i can solo them as a rogue with t6 gear, i lose about 2-3000 hp

These have a 100% droprate of Crystallized Fire. They ALWAYS drop 1-3. But you can only see it when your faction controls Wintergrasp. When they do this you will have the Essence of Wintergrasp buff.

- they spawn on a 5 minute timer.
- there are 3 of them, one to the north, and the other two to the southeast and southwest. They do not move.
- I've never aggro'd the adds around them, so it's safe to fight them w/o clearing the area (though you should for more fires).
- there are saronite/titanium nodes around the crater.
- they have around 25k health, and on average take about 20 seconds too kill.
- they hit like trucks, dealing around 500dps.

- if you go directly to the east you will be in dragonblight, and can mount up! This makes getting to them while other people are around much easier.

this place is a great place to farm when you have "essence of wintergrasp"... for now at least. In a week or two this place will be swarming with people and the 3 revenants that spawn here occasionally will be down before you can blink.

Just to add

-Their average damage is ~600
-It's FIRE damage so armor won't help
-It is partially and/or fully resistable

So if you're a high-armor tank (like a feral druid) just use cat form...not worth using bear since the armor won't help ^.^ If you're a paladin you can always use fire ress aura :P It helps a lot :D

Edit: Also @kasane - Their spawn timer has been nerfed to about 2 mins or something, by the time I kill the 3'rd and rec the first is up ;)

These only show up if your side controls Wintergrasp.

You can see the other team fighting invisible mobs when you do not have control.

these things CAN TAKE FIRE DMG!

Im 80 and ive been using frostfire bolt on these guys and im deep into fire...they were able to get the ignite debuff, and improved scorh.

I've used fireblast and fireball and pyroblast and all work...

makes it easier for fire mages to farm these guys.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. My faction controls Wintergrasp, I'm sitting here killing revenant after revenant, and absolutely zero drops. I am *not* in a raid group, so whats up?

I can confirm that these guys CAN take fire damage (they are not immune like the fire elementals). My Immolate and other warlock fire spells work fine.

I can also confirm that they only show up if your faction is in control of wintergrasp; I was in the middle of fighting one right when the battle for control started, and it just vanished after I downed it--didn't even stay long enough to loot (Boo!). After the battle for Wintergrasp the opposing faction had control, and I could no longer see any of the revenants.

And, thirdly...they always always always drop 1-3 crystallized fire. Usually 2 or 3, sometimes 1. I got 3 eternal fires here in the span of an hour or less, killing everything in sight as a level 80 warlock. Pretty cool, since the eternal fires are going for about 70g each on my server.

These mobs do not have a 100% drop rate of crystallized fire, it's possible the drop rate changes depending on whether or not your faction has control of the zone. As a horde player in an alliance controlled wintergrasp, i farmed these mobs for about 30 minutes. The drop rate of the crystallized fire is still extremely high and this is most likely the best place to farm for it.

There is also an ore node on the north side of the cauldron that spawned roughly 3 times as both a saronite node and a titanium node.

As a T6 warrior with some fire resist gear of BT i can EASILLY solo these guys, the lovely thing is a bit further to the north you got a lake with water guys, just switch between the two area's when you run out of mobs and you can farm 24/7..

They do have alot of hp but still easy solo'able as tank barerly losing hp.
Best way to make cash imo!

I haven't seen one of these guys drop less than 2 Crystallized Fire.. Each mob has around 25k health (or so..) so they aren't that hard to kill. Also, if your an engineer, there are usually some gas clouds floating around the same area that also drop Crystallized Fire..

While it may be true that the revenants have a 100% drop rate (ive never farmed while in control of wg), the ele's around there do NOT have a 100% drop rate. They drop 1-3 like every 5 kills. Still not bad. But tedious if you're having to compete with other players for the kills.

As a mage with Magic Absorbtion i can say that their damage is purely elemental, and can be resisted, whenever they missed, i gained mana.

A bit of advice for anybody farming eternals. The raging flames around the area seem to have about the same drop % as primals at ele plateau. This is MUCH worse than the 100% revs, but instead of just running around or waiting for revs to spawn, kill all the little guys. Ive gotten 5-10 crystallized while waiting for spawns, so its definitely worth it.

Rogues can not dismantle these mobs, despite them having a rather hefty sword and a shield.

Seems strange that it would drop a fridged mail circlet when it's a fire elemental. A molten mail circlet would make more sense.

A huge bonus to controlling Wintergrasp is the quick farming of air, water, fire, earth, and shadow crystals by means of the "revenant" elementals. Mobs within Wintergrasp that have a 100% droprate on these include:

Each have a guaranteed droprate of one to three crystals and are usually surrounded by smaller elementals of the same type with a 25% drop chance.

Can confirm 100% drop rate from Revanents: 1-3 at a time.

There are 4 in the south-east corner of Wintergrasp.

Although players of the opposing faction cannot see them, they can still see the normal elementals. Players not in control of Wintergrasp will be farming these. So keep an eyeout or you will get ganked!

In 24 minutes i got 5 eternal fire, so this is a great payoff, especially on my server where an eternal fire is 16g buyout.

It seems that Blizz in there infinate wizdom seem to have taken the guys out, i was farming clouds at s e Wintergrasp today for a good hour and not a single one spawned, wonder if anyone can confirm this? oh btw wasent during battle time

This does not have a 100% drop rate since the 3.1 Patch.
I killed 25 Flame Revenants, and I only looted 7 Crystallized Fire.

There are 3 Flame Revenants, they are located at the north end, northeast end and the southwest end. There are also Raging Flames (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/npc=30847) which have a 26% chance to drop 1-2 Crystallized Fire. The most efficient way I have found to get the most Eternal Fire's in the least amount of time is to kill the 3 Flame Revenant's and then kill the Raging Flame's while the Revenant's respawn.

do these NOT spawn on certain times? I've been camping the fire pit in Wintergrasp from 06:05 to 06:30 and I havent seen any Flame Revenants.

Edit - After killing all the 14 or 15 Raging Flames 5 times, I ended up with a little bit over 2 Eternal Fires. not really what i was hoping for at this hour of the day. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this problem.
