Roar is part of the Theater Event.

He comes along with Dorothee, Strawman, and Tinhead.

Have an Tank build up Aggro for an Short while. After enough Aggro is Build up, let an Warlock Fear him.
Avoid doing Damage since the Fear can be interrupted doing so.
He can be feared as often as needed. When time comes to kill him, just do him as an Usual Mob, Tank and Spank ;)

We do the Event in this Order:
Strawman, Roar, Tinhead then Dorothee.
Watch out, because when all are down, the "Main" Boss of the Event spawns, The Crone. Get back an Regg fast, you have a very short Time to do so.

When roar gets feared he's often out of LOS for a re-fear.. this means the warlock/hunter/priest gets beat on for 3-5 seconds until the recast gets off..

If you want to avoid this:
Have a tank agro roar and build up some threat before the first fear... Roar will continue to return to that tank (if enough time was given to build threat).. until you are ready to kill him... this allows roar's hits to be well mitigated by someone other then the squishies...

I was typically the designated "Warlock tank" for this guy. Though I did have a few groups that didn't think one person could solely fear him. Probably because of the LoS thing, but as long as you keep yourself far away from him, you'll have more than enough time to recast Fear.

I also use the Necrosis mod so I can see the time remaining on my Fear.

Curse of Shadows can also help if your worried about Fear breaking early. Simply cast CoS, Death Coil at the start; then charge up your Fear as the Death Coil timer is about to run out.

Done it plenty of times, and he never touched me once during the fight. When it's time to DPS him down, getting his aggro off me is as simple as a Taunt+Shield Slam from the tank.

If you don't have a warlock or a shadow priest to fear Roar, the MT can easily tank Roar (as he is taunt-able) along with Tito while the raid burns down others.

The Wizard of Oz Karazhan event consists of Dorothee, Tito, Strawman, Tinhead, Roar and, after they are down, The Crone. This fight is all about controlling the other bosses whilst you kill whoever is the priority. The kill order isn't fixed, but some kill orders are much easier than others.
