These technicians are very common in The Blood Furnace. They throw dynamite (doesn't hit very hard), the plant mines on the ground (roughly 1600-1800 dmg, not sure if they can crit), and they also appeared to randomly dispel buffs off of us. Other than that, pretty straightforward trash mob.

It's possible that it was one of the other mob types in the instance that was dispelling the buffs, but the group consensus was that it seemed to be these guys.

If you have a rogue with you, he/she can disarm the proxy mines placed by the technicans.
Just watch for the emotes. You have to be quick about it, but it is doable. ;-)

Easiest way to deal with the mines is to move them when you see the emote.

Afterwards, get rid of them via rogue, sacrificial pet, or just have a guinea pig set one off, heal, set another off....

If you have a warlock in your party have them summon an Eye of Kilrogg, and move over the mines.

These guys not only plant mines, which can hurt your party very quickly, but they also cast a ~4 second silence. This can suck if it leaves the healer unable to react after his party was devastated by a landmine.

The mines always do 1800 Fire damage, or very close to it. My Imp dies to them plenty of times (keep forgetting to make him stop attacking and get away).

These guys are an absolute nightmare and are very difficult to CC due to their mid/long-distance dynomite and their bombs which make moving around a serious hassle, not to mention the Silence they have that can prove to be deadly if you don't know what to do. :x Cower, cower in fear at the sight of engineers!

Hurls VERY painful dynamite and places EXTREMELY painful bombs, and comes in groups. CC needed. If after a battle you still have some bombs on the floor a lock can easily explode them with Eye of Kilrogg.
