These guys were nerfed. Goodbye to the BEST FARMING EVER.

In the first two weeks of TBC these were the best mobs to farm by a long shot.

Each mob dropped anywhere from 20s to over 50s apiece. They dropped buttloads of Netherweave, greens, and a nice amount of blues.

They dropped so many greys it was ridiculous.

In fact, they had better loot drops than the trash in Ramparts.

There's a small camp of them South of Hellfire Citadel and the respawn rate is ridiculously fast.

I think the only reason they were nerfed is probably because it is an alliance quest node. They probably got really pissed that all the Horde were there farming mad loot while they just wanted to kill 10 of them and turn in their quest. lol

I ACTUALLY MADE OVER 100g in an HOUR from these JUST FROM THE SILVER! It would have been WAY more if it wasn't an Alliance quest node.

Looks like all the whining allies got their way and send the horde farmers home. Now instead of dropping cash and loot like elites they drop from 3-15s each and about as much loot as the next non elite. Party time with them is now over :(

Gold farmers seem to have caught on to these things quick. They are easy to kill for even a lvl 60, they can drop up to 48.5 silver each (!), plus lots of greys (1-2g each) greens, and cloth. I got 200g in one day on them alone, about 2/3 of that total in coin drops. I averaged about 30g an hour (20g in coin) with a lvl 61 warrior when no one else was around farming them too. Its very good for Exp too, getting about 500 each.

Best place to farm them is within the bottom circle on the above map. PvPr's careful that area is a gankfest so bring a friend or two. (I believe the Alliance have a quest for that area but Horde doesn't, so be extra careful if you're a Horde on a PvP) Also be careful of insta-spawns. about 15% of the time in that spot when u kill one it spawns again instantly before you have a chance to loot. This will probably be fixed in future patches, but I hope not :)
