The thing that might escape first notice of this weapon is its very slow speed. There is only one weapon that is slower in its level range: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=5256 (3.00 speed 1 hander)

If you have this your best enchant will probably be crusader as BC enchants cannot be placed on it (<level 35). Crusader will benefit from the very slow one hander attack speed and give a higher chance of proccing per swing/hit.

26 melee attack power on a one hander is very good for a dual wielding fury warrior. It's a shame that this doesn't have a little more dps or required level of 35 (for BS enchants). Even so it makes a very good one hander for a dual wielding warrior, especially if you can get the best melee one hander in the 30-39 level bracket in your main hand: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=9427#dropped-by

Good for an Orc shaman coupled with https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=934 to have decent weapons for level 40 dual wield.

Orcs have 1h/2h axe expertise.

Here's something to think about (as a joke for you serious folk)... This item is dropped by Digmaster Shovelphlange, a goblin... In the Barrens, there is a quest called Samophlange, about a machine being operated by GOBLINS! This leads me to believe that a new operation since the disinstallment of the Samophlange is underway in Uldaman, and they plan to do something... devious... with it! See what you can do if you just think a little and exaggerate a lot?

This item does NOT work as a mining pick, atleast not while unequipped. Thanks for making me delete my pick and missing out on an iron ore deposit :(

lvl 43 warrior just farming theminers in uldaman. had no idea this guy existed. figured he would be easy and started to attack him. one thing is for sure this guy is not easily killed. he hits for so much, me wearing plate and all. had to put on retalliation and he dide. he dropped his axe and a green dagger. very nice. sold the axe for 45g

This is great for a fury warrior in his low 30's. I'm camping the rare spawn with my main to get this for my warrior. (Great that it's BoE too.)
Btw, it seems like almost no one knows about this guy & what he drops. So you'll probably have no problems farming him.
