as both a hunter and shaman i have to say this is a hunter set no doubt. Though it doesnt say its a set all of the armor is mail and has agi seeing shamans like int and stamina and the occasional strenght a hunter would like it more. The nightscape gear is more for rogues. The boots give it away. i mean cmon leather, imrpove stealth its for rogues. Not sure wat is good for a shaman but i know the blue dragonscale items are more directed to shamans sadly. Main is a hunter, 2nd is a shaman. Can't wait to get worn dragonscale breastplate and then the blue dragonscale shouldders and chest.

Uldaman is great for getting the scorpid scales, when theres the gang of 15 or so scorpians, every run of this instance i get about 10 - 15 scorpid scales

I realy need the set as a 44 dwarf hunter but i hate it that you need so much scorpid scales. Don't got the skills for it so looking for ppl to make it and they are hard 2 find. And when you finally found one you still need to find the mats and when you don't have skinning it's a bit expencive...
But i'm on the good way now found someone to make it for me and now collecting scorpid scales and thick leather with friend in Tanaris from the scorpids.
But the only thing i think is weird is that the name looks like a set but it isn't a set so no extra bonus...
Well i hope i get the set very soon.

Igot like 5 parts of tough scorpid "set" and i skinned all the mats myself.... took a while to get all the scales... but it is very nice to have this in pvp!

Stats are decent on the set(obviously for Hunter) but save for the boots, the set looks lame for the level. The Helm and the Shoulders should be redone and maybe a splash of color. Just my 2 copper.

I'm on the Eonar realm and i've decided I’m going to make the entire set. Takes about 4 stacks of scorpid scales and about that many thick leathers...the helm alone takes a whole stack of scales. I’m trying to advance in my LW skill so I’d be more than happy to create the higher lvl items such as the helm in exchange for help killing/farming the scorpid scales. Tip is a must for green or grey items I create. This set, correction non-set, is pretty bad giving you more than 80(believe its 86) agility and over 60 (believe its 63) spirit. As was previously mentioned for some reason they don't count it as a set so there is no extra bonus, but who could shake a stick at over 1336 AC in addition to that stat boost. I'll even apply a rugged patch to each piece possible (4x) for an additional AC boost (160AC). Looking to have my set enchanted so if you’re a chanter that can wear mail we can defiantly work something out.

im a 41 hunter at the mo with LW & SIKN profession & mainly still wearing leather.

2092 HP
1500 MP
Str (42+18) =60
Agi (85+101) =186
Stam(63+94) =157
Int (43) =43
Spi (51+9) =60
Arm (1175+120) =1295

This armor kit worth losing the 940HP coz i will lose all my stam stats? to gain all the armor? But i am having problems with low mana so maybe extra spi might be worth it?

Aphex1 , questioned why you would trade the extra hit points that a leather set with stamina would give you. If your willing to sacrafice agility, and use a caster set instead, the Turtlescale set give stats in stamina intellect and spirit. It will give you a huge boost in mana pool and hit points, and the high intelect will also raise your spell crit rating. It is not a common choice for hunters, but i use it with mine. Its generally thought of as being for shamans (elemental specifically).

Sure, the stamina and spirit are great, but where's the intellect? Hunters and shammys both need intellect, so... Yadda, yadda, yadda... You're going to regenerate health and mana very quickly with the high spirit, but on the other hand you wont have much mana to regen. Better be putting intellect on the fingers and belt, and hopefully you can enchant int on this set or know someone who can. Personally, I'll take the high intellect and keep lots of water in my bag. :P

Does anyone know what if any additional bonuses you get for wear all of the tough scorpid armor? Or a somewhere that lists all of the sets, and the bonuses you can get?

Here are some reasonably high res images of the full Tough Scorpid "set", seen here on my level 50 Tauren Hunter. Personally, I like the look of this gear. The full set has a more rugged appearance and looks less 'bondage-like'.

This gear emphasizes the importance of skinning if you're going to do leatherworking because the entire set requires 80 scorpid scales to craft and those can only be skinned off of level 40 - 48 scorpions in Tanaris. The higher level mobs sometimes drop two scales and they drop at the same rate as the lower level mobs. After I discovered this it took me about 3 hours to farm them all.

Tough Scorpid gear is maybe a little bit weaker for solo'ing than what you can achieve by mixing and matching to get high Agil + Stan, but you won't look as cool (assuming you think this looks cool) and you won't deal as much damage in a group because you won't get that high mana regen. So if you're aiming for Agility + Spirit with your 45 - 55 level hunter then this is the gear for you.
