This is one of 3 possible slow 1H weapons dropping from the Heroic versions of the 3 new dungeons in Icecrown Citadel.

Seven-Fingered Claws is a trash drop from both The Forge of Souls and the Pit of Saron.

Nighttime is a drop from Bronjahm, the first boss in The Forge of Souls.

Black Icicle drops from the chest at the end of The Halls of Reflection.

All three of these weapons are superbly itemized for Enh Shaman and Rogues, and may also interest Hunters (of course). Slow speeds, crit, and plenty of AP make them all very attractive.

Warning to Tauren Enhance shaman:

This weapon is all fun and games until you sheathe it and IT POKES YOUR EYE OUT.

When you put the weapon away the end of the pommel is sticking out of your face. The clipping is mainly due to the long handle along with the angle they had it rest at causing it to go straight up into the bottom of the model's jaw. Very few weapons are this bad.

If the weapon wasn't so amazingly well itemized I would be using just about anything over it just because of how bad it looks. I imagine two of these and being pretty bad.

So if you want to have it and not looks stupid as a tauren male, hit "z" or have a second set of weapons.

Note: Even with this issue, this thing is amazing and having 2 is a good thing. I just wish it was an axe for our Orc friends brothers.

I was trying to track procs just to see what I was getting on my DW Frost DK using the addon Procodile. I am DW x2 Black Icicles and to my surprise a proc that kept coming up was "Black Icicle". Seems to be a 2 PPM but I'm not sure what it even is. Maybe a bug in the addon?

Or is this a hidden proc? I didn't see any debuff on the dummy or any buff on myself when this would proc. Anyone know whats up?

edit: Nvm... the proc was actualy the Fallen Crusador proc Unholy Strength. So it must've been a bug with the addon.

Very easy to obtain item, have been running HoR HC every day since the patch and this appears to have a 50% drop rate. By far the most common drop from this instance.

Are you guys joking me? I've been trying to get this mace with my shaman for about two weeks, all I get as drop is Liar's Tongue.... 12 times in a row. Haven't see this mace drop yet.

This is the best pre-raid weapon for a Prot-PvP spec paladin. The hit and crit rating on this are significantly better than Nighttime's haste and armor pen.

This is fantastic for a DW Frost DPS Death Knight. Slow, high top end damage, hit, crit, AP, couldn't get any better.
Combined with Nighttime, they really make a great pair.

Don't forget Frost DW DKs! The slow weapon speed means higher end damage, and higher end damage means more powerful strikes (minus Icy Touch, Death Coil, Howling Blast, etc. since they're pure spell damage). However, judging from the comments on this weapon, it seems to be a tough find for many people. In that case, DKs may be better off with two Nighttimes, unless you REALLY need the hit here. In fact, in my experience, the axes seem to do more DPS.

In my experience, this weapon is better for a DK than Nighttime because of the crit and hit that are put to much better use than ArP. Since a lot of our attacks in the frost tree are spell damage based, and because our attacks are instant, haste is inferior to the crit and hit as well. Having said this, if you're an Orc, the expertise from having a Nighttime equipped does allow you to benefit from the expertise.

These are very good for a DW frost DK, I agree.

They're pretty much the best from all the 5man content, Nighttime isn't quite optimal though acceptable.

Another good pair for dual-wield are https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=49827 from Halls of Reflection on normal mode.

These are great for DW enh shammies as well. Nice AP, crit and hit. I use these for pvp as well, and they are quite handsome.
