it looks exactly like the steam-powered auctioneer, in Dalaran. Only Jeeves matches in size with the scrapbot construction kit.

He sells the top level regents, along with frostbite bullets and terrorshaft arrows. He does not sell any poisons or food/water.

I can confirm the pattern drops off the mechanicals in Northrend. I "skinned" it off one of the mechanical librarians in storm peaks. I would guess that the drop rate is fairly high. I killed about 45.

One nice thing is that there is a timer buff on him. When you have him targeted and look at his buffs, you will see a countdown of how long he has before he goes away. The buff is called 'Pressing Engagement', and lasts 10 min.

EDIT: it now hovers much like the priest levitation spell, and has orange flame (think the boots from the midsummer festival). hopefully this will make it more noticeable in raids :)

Unless you're dealing with a large number of BoP items that can't be sent through the mail...

Uhm ... summon a scrapbot - which has a 15 min CD - and sell them maybe? Or you want to use Jeeves to swap dual talent gear? What could you possibly have in your 96-100 slot inventory that keeps you from storing 17 items - your other gear - there? Even with a profession bag occupying one slot, you should have 74 slots at least.

If i had dual talents, and needed 2 different kind of gears, i wouldn't expose myself to the risk of needing the other gear while my Jeeves is on CD, so this aspect of using Jeeves is not considered useful for me, it's a risk.

Or, you're attempting to get items from your bank.

Every 2 hours? Yea, right, you are referring to dual talent gear swapping again. Which is inefficient this way.

The mats for some may be a bit steep and they may also fail to see the benefit Jeeves has over an inexpensive scrapbot, but allow me to remind you of the advantages:

1) You now have a butler, and everyone knows that if you have a butler he will have a tux, and if he has a tux that means you can have a secret lab/cave/lair where you store an awesome flying vehicle to do international spy missions with tropical drinks.

2) Butlers always provide hilarious anecdotes to awkward situations, like while everyone is being rez'd after a 2% wipe.
"Master Destinies, you seemed a bit pressed for time..."
"Yeah I get it Jeeves, the boss crushed me at the enrage, haha, now fix my crap and gimme a cold one"

3) Bank access = no hs/lock summon nonesense; you have a butler, you're above that now.

4) He calls tasks like buying/selling/repairing mundane. HA! What won't he say... :)

5) You have a f$%*ing butler!

Remember: Mats are expendable, but Jeeves is forever...or for at least 10 min...once an hour...look he's busy cleaning my lair!

As far as I can see, the access to banks will be granted to any skilled engineers in the raid, even if it was not they who set up Jeeves.

It seems unlikely however that it'd grant Guild Bank access. This is just speculation on my part, but I doubt his pockets are quite THAT big.

There's no doubt that Jeeves will be an awesome addition for engineers but I can't help feeling that our parade is being rained on a bit by this.

It's a bit duff of Blizz to give Engineers something this expensive in time and mats, with a 450 proficiency requirement, then pretty much give it to everyone else anyway (okay, a watered-down version with a longer cooldown and no repair, but still... 150 Champion's Seals isn't even that much of a chore if you already do the dailies for the gold).

I farmed this after my fifteenth kill on Library Guardians in Storm Peaks, some others stated drop rates ranging from ten kills to eighty kills.

I promptly made him and have been loving every moment of having him. BUT when I pulled him out in Naxx 25 last night many people complained about the cost of repairs. I know that, like other repair bots, Jeeves will not give a faction discount but is he in any other way more expensive than the other repair bots? Many people seemed to think so last night but I couldn't pull out a Scrapbot to check.

Got him from the library guys too, in about 20 kills. Easy to get.

He looks just like a scrapbot, but he flies a couple of feet above the ground, and he doesn't move around.

The 1 hour cooldown makes it a little impractical for switching gear for a single boss, and it would also have been nice if non-engineers could use the remote bank option. I haven't tried it yet, but I assume all level 450 engineers can use the feature, not just the one that summoned him.

Engineers really got some love in 3.2. Drop Jeeves and MOLL-E next to the Steam-Powered Auctioneer and you'll have the trifecta: bank, auction house, and mailbox access all without taking a single step! As of 3.2, both last for 10 minutes on a 2 hour cooldown.

Got the recipe from library guardians in storm peaks , i was trying to get the scrap-e card to get the repair bot and the Jeeves recipe dropped and the scrap-e card did too. Just got done making it today, have to go around the whole world to get all the recipes for the other repair bots. Takes alot of time but is totally worth it. (He fly's!)

Some tips for gathering the mats:
You can easily farm for the 110g and the scrapbots. Titansteel takes time but it's not that bad. Getting 30 cobalt bolts is easy (somewhere between 20-60 ores..).. You'll need 6 copper bars to give to any JC for the delicate copper wiring to make the fused wirings to make the 74a bot, but literally any JC will do at all: these things take 1 JC. This just leaves the Kings Amber: If you don't want to spend the money, spend a few days doing BGs/BG Quests, and don't forget to do the Wintergrasp quests, and you should only need 20k honor to get the two gems, which shouldn't take too long.

As an aside, it's quite interesting that, broken down, a 450-engineering item requires a 1-jc item.

a) Follow his master for the duration of the buff

b) Emote

c) Have a tux on?

To be honest, the following thing is all that irks me. Though the occasional "sir, if you'd be so kind, please remember to return your weapons cleaned if possible" wouldn't go astray.

Okay folks,
anyone interested in getting Jeeves from Schematic: Jeeves should do the following :

A) gather all the prerequisite Repair Bot recipes first:
1. Field Repair Bot 74A:
this is picked up in BRD from the floor near Golem Lord Argelmach.
2. Field Repair Bot 110G:
this is BoP drop from Gan'arg Analyzers in Blade's Edge Mountains.
3. Scrapbot Construction Kit:
-take 4x and 5xs from your supplies with you.
-head to Storm Peaks and look for Library Guardians.
-kill these until drops (high drop rate), accept the quest it gives.
-return it to SCRAP-E, which is a small robotiod gnome in the 'temple' building on top of the stairs in the area where you are, (37.7, 46.5). Take the follow-up and return it at The Prototype Console, which is right next to him. This awards Scrapbot Construction Kit.

B) farm the Jeeves schematic itself from the Library Guardians just outside:
-kill these guys, loot them empty and then right click them again (this gives you mining type cursor and allows you to 'engineering skin them' - salvage them for parts).
-this process can take anything from 1 to 100+ kills and you'll loot grey rubbish, occasional Cobalt Bolts or Volatile Blasting Triggers. Just keep going until you salvage the Schematics.

This is based on my attempts to get the Schematics from Library Guardians (1 and half hour of farming without the drop) without having the Schematics for 110G. If you think about this, it is kind of logical to have (to know) all the previous inferior models involved. So I went to Blade's Edge, got the 110G Schematics in about 10 minutes, flew back, started on the Library Guardians again and got it dropped in about 5 minutes.
This might have been just a coincidence and the Schematics for the Repair Bots required to build Jeeves might not be required for the Jeeves itself to drop. This is my experience with it anyway.
I can't comment on the skill level required, as I have 450 Engineering already.

I woke up early to look for rares. Was flying around SP and saw a dead npc around the library. Sky dived down to it and salvaged. BOOM! O.O

I can confirm that you do NOT need 450 engineering to loot the schematic for Jeeves.

I was farming it at the Crash site in Storm Peaks, killing the Library Guardians for 2 hours until I got it :).
I was at 447 Engineering! Jeeves took me about 1.5k gold to make because I had to level my Engineering to 450! haha.

Also, you can't LEARN the schematic until you're 450, so it will just sit in your bags until you are!

if we could somehow add a goatee to Jeeves re shape his mustache, and give him angry eyebrows, he would have access to the auction house. Then we just have to hope it is in fact the rocket boots that grant Jeeves bank access that way we get both functioning... you... you figure out how to add the goatee and reshape the facial hair, it shall be the greatest engineering feat in all time.

Tho the apparent is still out there that were unable to use him as an auctioneer still; Blizzard leaked that in the near future we should or shall be able to through the means of a engineered bot(much like the one in Dalaran).
I personally saw Jeeves last night in a 25 Naxx raid and was like "Golly Gee!" and I started Engineering late last night! spent ~1,300g and am still only at 300 Engingeering.

Just a heads-up to those who own Jeeves: it has been announced at Blizzcon '09 that Goblins will be getting a racial called pack hobgoblin. Every half hour they get one minute of bank access.

Granted, it's WAY too early to start getting uppity, but nevertheless, it's a tad frustrating if it pans out. Why did I bust my hump for Jeeves if troll newbs can have something similar from day one? :D

If you want an easy way to remember which to use, substitute he/she for who and him/her for whom.
i.e. "He will attend to all your needs" is good, "Him will attend to all your needs" is ungood.

That's a helpful tool; however, it won't always be correct. "Whom" is the indirect object pronoun, "who" can be either the subject pronoun or the direct object pronoun. A corollary to the above example is to consider whether a preposition is involved:
1) Who will attend to all your needs? He will attend to all your needs. (subject pronoun)
2) He attended on whom? He attended on her. (indirect object pronoun - with a preposition)
3) Whom did she call? She called him. (direct object pronoun - no preposition)

I love this thing. Jeeves will always have a slot in my bags. He may seems rather expensive to make but he pays for him self in the long run. I am rogue and with pickpocket filling up bag spaces pretty fast I can drop him sell the junk restock on poisons, repair my gear and bank any green items to Auction off later or to give to guilds. Allowing me to continue farming. The only thing that would make him any better if there was guild bank access. Allowing you to grab pots out of the guild bank and disbruted them among a guild raid when needed. But all in all if your engineer get him get him now

Manage to find the schematic well doing quest for The Taunka around Borean Tundra.

Salvage one of the machine in geyser field and was quite surprise to loot in on my 2nd kill. My engineering level was also only around 380 at the time. Good luck to anyone that's looking the the schematic.

I was farming for Jeeves for 3 days straight (lvl 76, engi 427)... i killed hundreds of Lib Guards. No drop.

Then i became level 77 accepted the quest SCRAP-E. finished it, got schematic.

Then at 78 i tried it again. Guess what?

The schematic for Jeeves does have a greater drop percentage off the Ulduar Mechanical bosses when salvaged, though I recommend farming it off of the Library Guardians of Northern Storm Peaks. It took me between 10-20 minutes to salvage it, so it's well worth your time. The schematic is only visible as a drop for engineers, and must be salvaged, so be sure to loot twice. The guardians require 395 Engineering to cannibalize. Also note that these guys are also the only NPCs to drop the SCRAP-E Access Card, which is necessary for Engineers to begin the short quest chain to learn how to make Scrapbot Construction Kits, which are one of the materials to make this handy dandy mechanized butler.

What kind of butler doesn't serve drinks? My real life butler would get fired fairly quickly if he did not get me a gin and tonic when I asked for one.

guess the trick to getting this thing to drop is to post and ^&*!@ about how I've been killing and salvaging for hours with no luck.

BLAH BLAH BLAH won't drop P.O.S.! K, thanks now back to farming this damn thing (good news is I wont need any cobalt bolts for a looooooong time)

I went out with a Hunter from my guild to Fizzcrank Airstrip. We killed robots for about an hour before I got the schematic. Another guildie of mine got this off robots in Storm Peaks. I included a screenshot so you can see Jeeves in his awesomeness. Note: sadly, Jeeves doesn't move. I mean he floats and his feet flutter a little, but he doesn't follow you around like a real butler would.

Material Suggestions:

King's Amber use honor (10k from JewelCrafting Vendor) or Emblems of Heroism (20 from Heroism vendor).
Handful of Cobalt Bolts You will get more than 30 handfuls while farming for the schematic.
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts Visit Qiff (Area 52) and the Consortium Spare Parts Vendor (Storm Spire) in Netherstorm they sell them as limited quantity items.
Khorium Power Core Qiff also sells these but it is rare when he does.
Delicate Copper Wire Any JC can make these.
