This is quite a nice gun, not only for its looks, but its stats as well. It's not terribly common to find a ranged weapon with a gem in it (the first exception that comes to mind is Magnetized Projectile Emitter, which is from Deconstructor hard mode). While the Projectile Emitter is definitively better, it's also harder to come by due to the hard mode requirement.

Compare this, however, to Darkmaw Crossbow from the same instance. This gun nets you:

18 Sta
23 Haste
0.1 Ranged DPS
62 Ranged Min Damage
0.1 Ranged speed

The higher top-end damage of this weapon, along with the socket, makes it better (since weapon damage factors into many hunter shots) unless you need the haste (which, if you talented into Improved Aspect of the Hawk, I doubt you do).

As far as the hit, it technically makes me over hit cap, but by a small margin--I like that it actually gives me a little gear flexibility.

In summary: This gun is strong like bull.

This is a great upgrade to the Felglacier Bolter (forgive me, I know not how to link yet), and for one reason: THE SOCKET. Without the socket it would be a downgrade, but slap a +20 agility gem in there and this gun will out DPS the crossbow.

Just picked this up a few hours ago, I saw a nice change in DPS from Felglacier Bolter to this.

This gun looks amazing, btw.
