Actually, this trinket can work out for any possible caster (both healers and DPS casters). The Haste activable would be more useful with casting-time spells, or well used with more casting-time spells, as the GCD reduction is pretty negilible or very difficult to notice due to lag and human reaction.

Anyway, this can be considered as an upgrade from Embrace of the Spider, considering the SP and the fact this can be activated instead of waiting for a proc with an inCD. Also the active time is doubled.

yes but this has a 2min cd, as opposed to a 45sec internal cd, nullifying what u think is a 2x increase in uptime. i rly cant be bothered to do the maths right now, but obviously it is a more useful 2nd trinket option for those who prefer to haste to crit (like arcane mages rather than fire/frostfire as an example)

true, but the use effect makes it more convenient so you can use it when you wish. so, if you are a mage, and there is a Bloodlust up (Or Heroism), you can pop this, Icy Veins, maybe a Speed Pot, and dump all your mana into the fastest spells ever. and still (maybe) have time left over for a 2 second Evocation.

and then after you do 40k dps, you can use Invisibility to wipe ur threat, start your rotation over, and watch as your friends stare at you...maybe kick you from jealousy...report you for cheating....etc...

Sadly having Hyperspeed Accelerators on gloves will put a 10second cooldown on this trinket, so not really ideal for engineering casters.

Well, I'll agree that it stinks that accelerators puts this on a 10 sec cooldown, but it's not the end of the world really. I have this trinket and I have it macro'd with the accelerators, when one is on cooldown the other is usually up so while you can't have both up at the same time, you do get them back to back, it still works out to some pretty good dps, imo.

i have a question, do you think this trinket is better then the badge trinket?

now before i get a bunch of "omg noob, 226 > 200" im just asking becuz proc, in my experience, usually works out to being alot better then use effects, and 84 crit is alot

so should i replace my sundial of the exiled with this scale of fates?

actually using the math from other people i think ive figured it out

according to above comments, this trinket works out to around 72 haste, and it has 125 SP

now sundial of the exiled has 84 crit and its proc averages out to around 100 SP

with those numbers its pretty easy to see that they are both pretty equal, in terms of point for point haste works out to more % per point then crit so i would say that 72 haste is worth more then 84 crit, and the 125 sp is obviously better then the 100 (can actually be more like 98-133) so id call the scale better, but only by a little

I'm having an issue with this trinket and I wanted to see if anyone else is. I'm an elemental shaman but every so often I do throw out a healing spell. If the cool down is up on this trinket and I cast a heal while in combat the trinket procs (Note: I mean "proc"), which seems odd to me since it's supposed to be an "on use" item.

Has this happened to anyone else?

As of patch 3.3, this trinket should be the top for Shadow Priests, with the Haste rating buff now affecting DOTs.

Recommend you have an addon that tells you when this trinket procs (Powerauras, for instance, can be configured for it) so you can reapply your DOTs as necessary.
