Fast, high defence, a lot of dmg, this is the best tanking sword for warrior and pala in the game so far! I say "bid!" bacause there's maybe only another weapon better then this in the whole Ulduar (this) and also because maybe if Blizz has put it in the first boss of Ulduar is to improve the tanks from the beginning!

The name of this weapon is the same as the removed tanking weapon enchant, Enchant Weapon - Titanguard, maybe an apology from blizzard to tanks or some sort of deeper meaning.

Another thing that I noticed about the tanking weapons is that the upgrades seem to even out difficulty wise. They made it easier to get Slayer of the Lifeless, as it is from the 2nd boss of a wing, so they made it be the 3rd required boss in Ulduar, or 6th if you don't follow Ulduar linearly. Last Laugh was harder to get as it was from the last boss, in 25 man naxx. While Titanguard drops from the first, and arguable easiest boss in the instance. So they tried to even it out.

No offense to commenters here, but stating that this is a "minor upgrade" is relatively silly, redundant and frankly shows a lack of understanding about how raid content works. Once you are geared for a particular Tier of content, EVERYTHING is going to be a "minor" upgrade for you. Unless you're being outright carried through content that you are not appropriately geared for, you're never going to see a "major" upgrade.

213-219-226-232. These tiers all represent minor upgrades over the previous iLvl. The whole point to raid progression is to continually acquire these minor upgrades because stacking 5-6 minor upgrades results in a MAJOR increase in your stats and capability.

So, in my opinion, if you're passing on this because you have Last Laugh and want to "save your DKP" then you need to rethink your loot strategy entirely because you're missing the point.

No Towers need to be up, i got mine the first week when my guild went in to mess around we took out all towers and then downed Flame and since our other tank just got Last Laugh the night before i got this...

No additional towers are needed to obtain this sword. I upgraded from the Red Sword of Courage.

Great sword and a very nice upgrade! I never got a chance to get Last Laugh or any other 25-man sword, so this definitely made my day.

This is part of the 25 man weapon progression path as stoneguard is intended to be an upgrade from slayer of the lifeless.

I also notices that BLizzard was smart and tended to balance out how far in you get the weapons between 10 and 25 man.

For example, you can get Slayer of the Lifeless from the second boss in the DK wing in Naxx 10, while Stoneguard drops pretty far in, Kologarn 10.

Now Last Lugh as part of the 25 man progression path was in the definite last boss of Naxx 25, Kel 25, and this drops from the absolute first boss, Leviathan 25.

The mace off Hard Mode Xt-002 Deconstuctor is actually the best for human and dwarf tanks, and tanks that generally like more hp, and dont need hit rating, but need expertise.

I have been wondering if this or if Shiver (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=45876), is the best weapon for a human warrior.

If you get Shiver you will lose 1 Strength, 8 Defense and 6 hit, but you will gain 1 socket that you can put in a 24 stam gem, which is kinda nice imo.

Any suggestions to which one is the best?

Is it possible that this blade does not drop with 2 or more towers up? I've raided Ulduar every week on 25 man with my guild for the past..... 4 or so months and have YET to see this drop.. Though we've always done it with 2 or more towers up.

Can anyone confirm that this drops off 25-man-Levi without ANY tower up?
We're running Ulduar now since 8 Weeks and this thing never drops.
(And even if, everyone of our 4 tanks wants it. Sigh.)
