This is the uncommon pigment made when you mill for dusky pigment. During beta build 8885, I got one uncommon pigment around 40-50% of the time while milling dusky pigment.

When I did get a verdant pigment, I'd only get one of it. Some other uncommon pigments on very rare occasions would give two or three.

Just to clarify, the uncommon pigment is in addition to the normal pigment you get every time you mill, meaning you get two different pigments from one milling.

Changed in beta build 8905. You now get 2-3 Verdent Pigment while milling the following herbs:

Grave Moss
Kingsblood
Liferoot
Wild Steelbloom

After milling those herbs 18 times, I got verdent pigment roughly 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time I got golden pigment. The new rare pigment from those herbs is now Nightbloom Lilac. From those 18 mills, I got 4xNightbloom Lilac.

Like the other posted remarked, I usually got 0-1 when milling these herbs, however, I have gotten up to 3 Verdant plus 1 Alabaster in a single mill, but that is less than 10% of the time - probably closer to about 2% of the time.

Text has changed in beta build 8982:

So Alabaster Pigment lost Mageroyal, and Dusky/Verdant Pigment gained it. For those stockpiling herbs to power level inscription when the 3.0 patch hits in October, this may have a small impact on what you save up.

When it is milled it is almost always for 1; it is very rare to get 2 or 3 of these per mill so don't count on it

This is your limiting factor when doing rep with darkmoon faire the rogues decks way, for one random card, you need 1 verdant pigment and 2 dusky pigments, since you get in average 12 pigments from a stack of non-stranglekelp plants, and only 2 verdant pigments, the dusky pigments will be your exceeding mat, so you may want to check the AH for hunter's ink/verdant pigment.

It seems to me that the drop rate of these has been buffed. Before, I could go through several stacks of herbs and only get a total of 5 of these. However, on my new scribe, I've found that I can go through several stacks and get more like 12, if not more.
