Visage Liquification is very clever.

However, i notice that there isn't a healer version for cloth helm. I know they are homogenizing spell power but as a priest i still have a hard time taking a helm with zero regeneration stats.

There is also no plate caster helm and no mail/leather helm with regen stats either. Let's hope this is an oversight and they are going to be added before release.

At least it has crit rather than hit, which would be even worse for a healer (I assume).

I too am a little distrubed by the apparently lack of goggles for all specs, in my own case cloth healer ones. Granted the new clearcasting is based on Crit chance but I'd rather have the choice of going for a guaranteed regen rate or living in hope of a clearcast proc.

I'd be gutted, and a little annoyed, if I was obliged to drop Engineering come WOTLK because the over homogenised the helms. I don't care about the "fun" items, I took engineering for the helm!

Finally! No more poo-coloured Destruction Holo-gogs ! That always annoyed me...
(especially since all the other classes got nicer colours :P )

Hmm, no screeny up yet, but it looks just the same as the destro-goggles, but now really dark purple (almost black) with pink lightings... (instead of poo-brown with lightblue lightings).

Range on gas cloud detection seems to be improved.
I can now see gas clouds on the entire minimap even when fully zoomed out.
(not wearing the belt tinker, so that's not it)

Patch 3.0.8 added epic plate goggles, Unbreakable Healing Amplifiers. But still no sign of epic cloth healing goggles ..

As an Engineer, there's really no point going any further past 440 once you have these. The only useful things are the DPS and Tanking Guns (which are BoE and can be bought if you need one), and the motorcycles, which is only useful if you have a spare 13k or so.

As a mage, this is the best headpiece you'll come across for a very long time. To maximize your damage output, i strongly suggest that you socket it with the following gems:

Chaotic Skyflare Diamond - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=41285
Rigid Autumn's Glow - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40014

There are 3 better headpieces for mage, but they can only be obtained by doing Heroic raids (25-man). With low droprates and everyone else rolling/bidding on them, chances are you'll be using these goggles for quite some time.

Frankly, I think they should, since other than some of the tinkers, the goggles are the only real crafted item that I can use as a raiding caster.

Even though they are a good piece of gear for those just turning 80 I was very disappointed by how much gear actually surpasses this and how easy they are to obtain. For instance I have a Warlock that uses these and then I got Heroes' Plagueheart Circlet. These in my opinion are actually better for locks then the goggles. Even though I lost an exceptional amount of crit you gain spirit and haste, and for anyone who knows how to play a lock knows that 30% of your sp comes from spirit (39% fully talented). I was just really shocked that all you had to do to replace these (for lock) was to down 10 man KT. All I'm saying is I hope they will make a new more advanced version so that we would have to kill something a bit tougher then 10 man KT to replace it, either that or put some spirit on one of the goggles.

NOTA BENE: These are Bind on Pickup (BoP), meaning you can only make them for yourself. Even though the Engineering skill required to wear them (400) is much lower than the skill required to craft them (440), you cannot get another Engineer to make these for you!
