I can personally say that these are the best for ANY priest/lock/boomkin and possible even resto. I havnt looked at mage's but Ill bet that these are 1 of the top 3. My guild gave free bid for everyone since we dont prio 1 class above the others just because we play it.

https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=40560 are on the same page as these pants for affliction locks. Depending on what stats you need, the Wanton pants have a lot of hit and a lot of haste which are great stats for affliction. These pants would benifit mages more than locks over Wanton pants.

71 Spirit = 28.4 Crit Rating (25% + 15% spirit into crit rating) for mages with Molten Armor glyph in 3.1; in addition to the obvious mana regen to keep going in long ULD fights.

I think these either need more spirit or more crit rating. They appear to be slightly underbudgeted. I'm thinking the 57 crit rating is a tad low.

Guild mate of mine is finding that they receive more intellect (mana) than intended with these legs, getting mana equivalent to 104 intellect. Anybody else finding this?
