Tons of Hit Rating, Crit and Strength make this item an absolute godsend for Plate-wearing melee DPS classes such as Warriors.

On a sidenote, it's worth actually using a blue gem to get the +4 Hit Rating bonus, as the Blue gems help towards activating the Meta gem in your helm, and on this item the socket bonus is actually desirable rather than the +Stam you find elsewhere!

These bracers offer an unique opportunity to customize stats, since they are the only melee plate dps bracers with a socket ingame atm.

If you are raiding Naxxramas heroic, I sincerely advise to wait until these drop and spend dkp or /roll need (depending how your guild dispatches loot) as it is a fantastic piece of allaround equipment:
- 46 hit rating if you still struggle to get 263 hitcap

- 50 strength = a flat 100 AP right there
- 41 crit rating
- 1 socket

For a Blacksmith these espicially come in handy when you put another socket into it.
If you reach hitcap or are hitcapped prior to these bracers, you have the opportunity to put:

2 x Bold Scarlet Ruby = a flat 64 AP.

or if you still need that extra 6 hit rating from bonus in the blue socket:

Sovereign Twillight Opal
Balanced Twillight Opal
Vivid Forest Emerald
Jagged Forest Emerald
Guardian's Twillight Opal
Shifting Twillight Opal

Other bracers you should look out for when you're hitcapped without these bracers and need expertise, are:

On a personal note, Im still using Bracers of Unrelenting Attack because of the pure power it provides me (2 x Bold Scarlet Ruby + Enchant Bracers - Greater Assault
I often use Rhinolicious Wyrmsteak - they are cheap to make and gets me expertise capped when I find it usefull.

Its all a matter of balance.

Edit 17/8 -09 - Im in full Tier8½ and most BiS gear and Im still using these bracers, the hit/crit + 2 sockets (because im Blacksmith) on these bracers are simply still awsome because I can fiddle with other pure dmg gear.
And now that patch 3.2 arrived, you can use; Bold Dragon's Eye if your are Jewelcrafter and Bold Cardinal Ruby. If you can fish, you can even be lucky to get Bold Stormjewel.
I have yet to see any serious upgrades over these bracers.

my white damage has always been more than yellow so i think hit is a much more viable stat than "pure ap"

The Wristbands of the Sentinel Huntress are better if you're not expertise capped.

If you do meet the expertise cap though, these are easily B.I.S, especially if you're a blacksmith and stick the extra socket in.

bracers of eradication in WOTKL edition - same kind of stats AND blue socket.

As fury warrior i wouldnt even consider to take "wristbands of the sentinel huntress" instead of those - especially when there are many loots for me to cap my expertise.(among others i got "obsidian greathelm" which is a real expertise boost)

IMO still better than Decimator's Armguards. https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=45264 if you are a blacksmith you only lose 3 strength and a minor amount of Armor Pen.
