This sigil does not increase Obliterate or SS damage directly, whole damage is divided and added to +dmg and +dmg per disease.
Normally Obliterate has +350 dmg and +175 per disease, with sigil tooltip states +602 and +301 per disease, but that gives us 252+126+126 = 504, not 420

After some tests i assume sigils such as that one add <tooltip_dmg>*0,6 to +dmg, and <tooltip_dmg>*0,3 to bonus dmg from first disease, and <tooltip_dmg>*0,2 to second.
That gives us: 350+252 bonus damage, 175+126 bonus damage from 1st disease, 175+84 bonus damage from second disease.

So in dry blood (no diseases) sigil gives 252 bonus damage to Obliterate.
Maybe this %damege (0,6; 0,3 and 0,2) is changed with bonus damage from skill, for example if skill doesn't have any bonus dmg per disease it will give 100%, or 80%. But still, i'm pretty sure Awarness gives 252 bonus damage, 126 from 1st, and 84 from second disease.

Sorry for you guys there, for us it has a drop rate of 80% at least -_- dropped like 9/11 times or something. A couple of runs ago we started DEing.... tough luck :(

This sigil is very valuable to almost any specced DK imo. Even DW dk's will be obliterating when HB is on cooldown (assuming you're not bad). Obviously Glyph of Obliterate + this sigil = op

If DW waste runes on OB he literally suck. Any DW spec do ALOT more damage with HB or 2xIT then with a OB. This even counts for DK specced 44/27 who uses a slow MH.

Also any DW DK who doesn't use IT sigil suck even more, and lastly a DW DK rolling a on this baby as DW over a 2H DK is simple unaware of his class and exactly how much this benefits 2H's DK's.

I feel your pain man... Exactly the same boat here. It does seem a bit mad that they put it only on the one boss (other than Gluth).

Oh well, it'll feel that little bit better when you actually get your hands on it.

I did two fail naxx25 pugs some weeks ago, both time the sigil dropped. First time i rolled a 4, second time i rolled a amazing 8.

This being on such a limited sigil is acceptable imo, specially seeing how good this exactly is! But if what Qrio says is true, i'm gonna save 25 emblems, just for this baby!

That being the case, why does it state that it is sold by a vendor?

I heard that with the new patch release it will be available for purchase. Believe me, I have the patience to earn something as godly as this. It reminds me of the zod'd eth HoZ my Diablo 2 Pally wears.

25 Valor tokens, which also requires you to be 80 and to run 25-man raids. It's not about the grinding.

Actually emblems , and they will be drop from 10-man Ulduar , so thats mean it will be more available

I was somewhat surprised at first seeing high end tanks using this sigil over Sigil of the Unfaltering Knight, but now I understand that once you are uncrittable, the Sigil of the Unfaltering Knight provides only minimal avoidance while this sigil can really increase threat output.

Bottom line: if you can over 540 def, get this sigil !

Just got this from the vendor and tried it on a raid dummy. I saw very little, if any, difference in Recount compared to my original Sigil of the Dark Rider https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=39208, using the exact same rotations, etc. Why is this?

This looks like an incredibly good PvP/DPS sigil. I will be picking it up on my frost tank, as I am currently using Sigil of the Unfaltering Knight, but with a base of 545 defense (555 with proc). It seems to me that for somebody who has been focusing on avoidance stats and defense, this sigil is a great way to boost your ability to actually hold aggro (which is rarely a problem using some simple rotations, but at the rate dps has been increasing it is really nice).

For clarity’s sake, prior to patch 3.1 equip affect was: Increases the damage dealt by your Scourge Strike and Obliterate abilities by 420.
