Since not many people will be farming these any longer, they could prove to be the easiest herb to farm for Milling. Whether for that Darkmoon Card: Greatness, or simply for glyphs. If you're the only person farming these, using the fire animation trick can yield a large amount in a very short period of time :).

I continue to pick these for milling and they also still do drop frost lotus in their nodes. they don't have much alchemical value anymore.

I use the "gatherer" add on to track my herbalism nodes, and I am curious, has anyone else noticed that fire leaf has a higher frost lotus drop rate then other herbs? I'm trying to decide whether I was just experiencing a fluke last night or whether they are worth farming simply for the lotus.

Anyway, I am an alchemist so I don't usually farm this flower, but my husband has a toon with inscription skill, so if I happen to see one, I pick it for him. Last night I hit three nodes and got two frost lotus. Feeling lucky, I farmed for about a half hour and came away with about 80 fire leaf and 7 frost lotus. Considering that you get at least 2 and sometimes 3 from nodes, that seemed to be a fairly high percentage.

I went back to the tundra today and have gotten a stack with no frost lotus. . . so, am I wasting my time or has anyone else noticed that Fire Leaf are a consistent source of Frost Lotus.

If you are out and about in the area that these spawn, i advise picking them. they are useless so there is plenty of them, BUT they sell fairly well, so if you need cash these are fairly easy to grab and sell for a quick extra gold for that training or w/e. 20 for 1g 50s at vendor :). In about a half hour of questing from the village right on the edge of the pools, i found 20 of them no even looking for them. so not bad for 15+ quests done in half hour and then a nice 1g50 on the side.
