While not very useful, the fact that you can get the quest for this at level 18 means this is the lowest level required headgear availible that doesn't require profession skills (Flying Tiger Goggles and Lucky Fishing Hat only require level 10)

You can't get it on your own until level 25-28 though, so unless you get help you're likely to already have other headgear by the time you get this.

Are you sick? This headpiece looks awesome, which is why I ALWAYS complete the Q on my alts.

This quest is good for Mages, Warlocks, and Priests in the 10-19 brakcet as well as 20-29, though you may have found better headgear. My 19 rogue is an engeineer, and is currently trying to get to 100. Until then, she is wearing the Hooded Cowl.

Now, there are a few ways to complete this quest for 19 for no or a low price:

-Find a level 26+ who is on that quest. Collect it at 18, or you'll be pushed up to 20 (or close) if you have 25+ exp. If you have really good weapons or can heal, you should do a bit to help them. This should result in around either no cost or up to 1g.

-Have an alt or a friend (higher level, either on the quest or 36+) help you with the quest. If your buddy is cheap, they will most likely let you off with no price, but if it is costly, it shouldn't be more then 50s. This way will have a slimmer chance, but it will happen quicker if you are in a hurry.

-Have a group of about 7 or 8 if you plan to do it with friends at your level. Make it a raid and summon at Shadowfang Keep. This way it will be faster if your buddies are far away. Don't forget to get a few healers as they will be needed. 2 should be good, but if your friends don't have that good gear, 3 with off-heals is a good way to keep from constant wiping and dying. If you happen to come across a 70, have the rogues (if you have any) try sapping them. When the sap runs out try doing a DOT (warlock, mage, priest) so they are unable to mount. Head for Tarren Mill and hide with the Captured Farmers. You should be safe and well hidden. Rogues should stealth and stay by the door, but in a bush. Call out incs! Enjoy your Hooded Cowl!

I got this quest as a lvl 24 hunter. If you want this as a lvl 25 or below (unless your amazing or something) I don't think you will be able to take down all the mobs in this quest. but, GOOD LUCK!

It's a red hood nothing speical.

This is the first head item that most (all?) Horde characters obtain.
