If you have the Gatherer addon and the Wowhead database you farming this herb is a lot easier (as with all herbs in general)

I found a pretty good rotation that didn't require me to span the whole zone so I was able to concentrate on getting Adder's Tongue.
On my server I was able to farm 5 stacks in a little under/over an hour (It was late I can't remember how long, but an hour seems right)

And if you haven't chosen a side with the Oracles or Frenzyheart you can go through their areas without fear of aggro.

This herb's growing behavior (ie. Dreaming Glory growing on the edge of cliffs) seems to be growing at the base of trees.

If you're in your low-seventies it can be hard to gather this herb, since it's really only commonly found in Sholazar (to my knowledge).

One of the best ways I've found to farm it when you're low-level is along the west-east road between Kartak's Hold and the Waygate. When you first get there you'll be neutral with both factions (Oracles and Frenzyheart), so you can run near them without issue, and so long as you keep away from the cats to the west and the bugs to the east, there are no aggro mobs along that stretch of the road.

As well - and obviously, most importantly - there are about ten or so fairly quick spawns of Adder's Tongue on this route, as well as some Gold Clover. I managed about three stacks of Adder's Tongue in about twenty to thirty minutes doing this. Not amazing, no doubt, but great for those low-level farming needs.

Sholazar and Storm Peaks are the best place to be getting Northrend herbs if you're level 80. Sholazar has very fast respawn times and I can gather 10 Frost Lotus before I get too bored and quit - and that includes filling all my herb bags with goldclover, adder's tongue, and tiger lily.

I suggest Zul'Drak for farming Talandra's rose, and Storm Peaks for icethorn and lichbloom. These places aren't as easy as the Sholazar rotation, but just as good when you've got a system.

Adder's Tongue also always sells really well at my server's AH on the alliance side. Was a good way to recoop after buying the kirin tor ring. :)

Found in Sholazar Basin all over. Can be obtained easilly in the south part of the zone without encountering aggressive mobs even at 70, even though the mobs in the area are 75+.

Confirmed. I entered the area at lvl 74 and if you stay in the south part of the zone, around the Path of the Lifewarden (don't go past Karthak's Post or the Waygate) you should have no problems. In 15 minutes, I had 18 Adder's Tongue, 2 Frost Lotus, and some miscellaneous Deadnettle, Goldclover, and Tiger Lily. I also had about a dozen Crystallized Life -- all at a Herbalism skill of 405.

I wasn't able to get the FP at Nesingwary's camp (you need to do a quest to get it), but for Horde, Bor'gorok Outpost in Borean Tundra is very conveniently located.

On crowded realms these are the rarest plants in wotlk classic. Even frost lotus are easier to get
the good thing is that they are not that much needed
