"Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp is what is purchased using tickets to allow you to buy these mounts, available in both normal and epic version. This mount is rideable by all races. The normal version is the Brewfest Ram. These items cannot be purchased unless you had purchased and turned in the "Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp (which can no longer be purchased) in 2007. This is the only way to have obtained the non-epic ram, but the Swift version now drops from Coren Direbrew.

Just got my hands on this one. And I gotta say, I love Rams! Specially now that I'm horde and all. People don't seem to understand that this is the real mount, as it looks just like the Ram quest Rams.

So the tickets arent used as currency for the rams themselves, just an item that allows access to the purchase page. Do you lose it after you buy a ram?

Baron's horse is a sucky droprate indeed it is but still overall things are by far better for alliance than it is for horde. Stop QQing about not getting a kodo it was never confirmed by blizzard it was merely assumed by alliance players. Enjoy brewfest anyway i'm sure the phat epics will make you go to it.

The mount can no longer be bought for tickets during the brewfest event (as of 2008).
Instead, hops can be bought to temporarily transform your mount into a brewfest ram (if alliance) or brewfest kodo (if horde) until you dismount. Fresh hops are temporary (last 7 days then poof if not used) and cost 5 Brewfest Prize Tokens. Preserved Hops are not temporary and can last forever in your inventory until used, cost 20 Brewfest Prize Tokens.

There is also Fresh Goblin Brewfest Hops for alliance and Fresh Dwarven Brewfest Hops for horde that players can buy for 5 Brewfest Prize Tokens to temporarily transform their mount into the one from the opposite faction (kodo for alliance and ram for horde). No preserved version of these ><.

Ran with 4 guildies and a RL friend, 1st 2 turn ins and 4th one dropped the Ram mount we were like woah 2 drops then a 3rd? I had a mount from buying from last year, so we ended up leaving the place with 3 happy people and their mounts and 1 disappointed warrior.

Also yes if you bought the mount from last year you have the option to buy em again this year, the slow one and the fast one is offered to me still again.

How To Farm the Brewfest mounts

Requires:
- A party of no more then 4: Warlock, Tank, healer, & Add control
- Warlock should come with at least 10 soulshards in his inventory for summons

Objective:
Your group will basically be set out to gear lowbies for welfare epics, while farming for the mounts.

How to Execute:
- Assign the most trusted in the group with Master Looter
- Type /who 65-69 to see who is available out there
- Ask them if they would like a shot at free loot with a summoning ready
- Once summoned spam a macro that states the terms and conditions, that anything is theirs but the mount because your group is farming for it
- Mark quest giver with Star and Boss with Skull and make a macro to tell them how to start the fight
- The Warlock should take a Soul shard from Coren from every fight so that he never runs out
- Kill the boss, remove the lowbie from group after he gets his loot, tell him thank you for coming, wash and repeat.

Personal Thoughts:
Once everyone knows the fight it goes fast enough, and lowbies are usually thrilled for the invite even when they don't receive the mount. In the past 3 days of the festival I have killed Coren over 80 times, seen Kodo drop on 4 occasions, and the Ram once and now have both of them.

This mount drops off of Coren Direbrew in Brd it dropped for me after killing him about 25+ times i won it :) the koto how ever also dropped it during the 30 kills times i killed him it dropped twice i lost :( as a horde i like the ram because that's the ONLY type of ram horde can get anyone can get a koto from rep or pvp i think it has a 2% drop rate but im not really sure.

I grinded for the ram and kodo this night, and got them both. I was luckey to win both, but drop chance should'ndt be that bad. I killed the boss around.. uhm.. 20-30 times or so. 1 ram, 1 kodo and 2 remotes dropped.

I just got this from BRD alliance side, and so far 3 people have noticed.
One says, "wow are you so nooby you bought the hops that didn't turn your mount into a kodo? LOL!"

Another one says, "Hmm so the ram dropped, really unlucky one aren't you..."

And the last one said, "Where did you get that?"

Dropped on my 10th kill and I was lucky enough to win the roll.

No Kodo or remote or summonables or dagger dropped in my 13 kills so far, 1 healer trinket and at least 2 or more on the other trinkets.

Also, it is 4-man'able, as long as you've tank and heal. We had one of our dps disconnected and we just play it slow and careful. None of us are particularly out geared.

Acquisition:

It is no longer possible to simply buy the Ram from Driz Tumblequick (Horde)/Pol Amberstill (Alliance). UNLESS you bought an "Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp from the 2007 Brewfest; in which case you may talk to either of the above NPCs and buy one.

You now must go into Blackrock Depths after acquiring the quest Save Brewfest where you will defeat Coren Direbrew for the quest Insult Coren Direbrew. The quest "Insult Coren Direbrew" is REQUIRED to initiate confrontation with him and HOPEFULLY result in the drop of either Swift Brewfest Ram or the Great Brewfest Kodo.

After the first encounter it will become a daily quest obtainable after every server rollover. It is obtained from the spy in BRD where you initially turned in "Save Brewfest"

The drop rate on the rams and kodos seems to be ~10%.

I kept track of all drops from 55 runs I tanked. Our groups saw 5 mounts drop, 3 rams and 2 kodos, I won the 5th which was a ram. It's a neat looking mount, with green glowing eyes, so maybe he's mana addicted like my Blood elf who knows X)

Also...as a note to people...if you win one of the Brewfest mounts..don't be greedy and bid on another! Don't you think other people would like a chance at one too? Oi.

You CAN'T buy this mount anymore. You need to obtain it by doing the Brewfest boss daily. You can do this once a day, and you need to do it in Blackrock Depths. Get a group of 5 (level 80's would be recommended) and if one of them has the remote, use it to get everyone to the boss area. Speak to the Brewfest Spy in the room, marked with a blue "Daily Quest" exclamation point. If you have a group of 5 and not everyone has done this, you will get 5 tries to kill the boss (1 quest per person). The drop rate isn't so bad and just keep killing until you get the ram!

It does feel like the drop rate of the mounts is up this year. In about 35 or 40 kills so far, I've seen two kodos and the ram I won. Last year, in ~100 kills, I didn't see any mounts. But it could simply be better luck, of course.

In my experience the droprate on these mounts can be very low indeed, I've done this event every day (except 2) since it became available at the 2007 brewfest, and I never saw the Kodo or the Ram drop once.

Getting this wasn't that hard...you get 40 tickets from barking, then I was getting 33 tickets from the keg run. Do that twice a day and it's yours in no time. I like it actually. I'm a tauren and never cared much for the Kodo anyway. And I haven't been hitting the BG like I should for any other mount. But it's a nice extra to the game. My tauren lookes kind funny sitting on a ram for some reason. LOL

If you say it's just a normal ram, you're wrong.
It's so clearly different than the others rams.
The Armour is brown, with no big metal circles on them,
brown fur,
bright breen glowing eyes,
red saddle thing with gold pattern and the brewfest logo,
I got mine 9:45am (approximately) October 6th 2007.
Very nice ram, if you wish to see it,
both level 40 and level 60 are displayed in the pen next to the Ram Riding Apparentice and the Ram Riding Master.

Alliance, level 62 Night Elf Druid (when obtained) and loving it.

after the initial quests, there are only 2 ways to get tickets anymore.
Unless the dark iron event comes back, the only way to get tickets is to either do the ram racing, or the barking quests.

The barking quests are a daily quest so of course with it you can only get 40 tickets/day.

The ram racing quest is a 12 hour repeatable... every 12 hours you can do it again. As ive found out, if you are good enough at hugging turns and not stopping for this event, you are able to get 12 turn ins. at 3 tickets per lap, 36 tickets. at every 12 hours this would be 72 tickets/day... but for most people they will get 10 turn ins so 60 tickets... all in all you should be able to get 100 tickets/day. so 6 days is all you need to get it

As for me, im sitting at 576 tickets... at my next ram racing event i will be able to buy this ram and I will post a picture of it. my record so far for laps with racing is sadly only 11... but i know its possible to get 12.

As I posted under the Hand Stamp here, this mount is actually kind of a rip for Alliance. It's easy enough to get Exhalted with IF these days and then you can buy a regular Ram for 9 gold or an Epic one for 90 gold. For the Brewfest Rams you go thru all the time and effort of getting the 600 tickets only to be charged 10 gold and 100 gold. Yeah, for Horde this is totally worth it cuzz there is no other way for them to get this kinda Ram mount, but come on Blizz, where is the Wolf (at least) for Alliance? Now a Wolf like the Org ones would be kewl for them. I went ahead and got the 600 tickets, turned them in, did the quest, but have yet to buy a Brewfest Ram just because my main on the server I did this with doesn't have the cash to just blow away yet, besides the fact that she is a Gnome who is Exhalted already with IF and can save 10 gold if I just go buy a Ram with pretty purple armor instead of brown, /shrug.

If you look closely, the armor isn't just brown, it's like someone
cut apart a Wooden Barrel and fastened it as armor.

I killed the Brewfest boss in BRD earlier this morning and he dropped this. Was really lucky to even see it. I didn't win unfortunatly ='(. I killed him a further 12 times that day and never saw it. to even get the ability to buy this trophy mount you would have to spend at least a week doing brewfest daily quests for tickets, if done right you can get about 80 tickets a day after the first day's worth, after you finally get a whopping 600 tickets you still have to front the 100 gold for the mount itself. A nice mount to have but takes patience and money to obtain.

eh, 100g isn't that much. If you do your dailies you can get that in mere hours. As for the quests themselves to get the tickets; you can only do 2 quests to get tickets, therfor only requires you to log in a total of 15 minutes per day to get the max tickets.

Just got mine an hour ago, as said above it's not that hard to get it. Just do you daily quests and you should make it with easy :). Just don't rush it and do it all relaxed and you'll will get it :). (As long as you do the Q's.)

It took me 6 days to get the ram. I was getting 100 tickets a day: 40 from the daily, then 30 from each keg run every 12 hours. The Ram speeds are just like normal mounts, 60% and 100%.

I got pretty angry today running the barrel delivery race. I've had my characters pretty much parked at the brewfest tents. I decided to actually play a little this morning on my mage. I swapped my reins out for the spell that belongs in their place. When I came back to do the race I hopped on the ram and "whipped" up a frost nova. BAM no mount. Forfeit 30 tickets for a stupid mistake. My fault, but I wish blizz would have made those mounts so you HAD to click the buff to dismount.

I was pretty pissed with myself. I'll still be fine gettting my mount as I'm already at 500 tickets but still.

Not to mention I noticed that just getting close to the bushels of apples isn't enough sometimes they'll miss taking care of your rams fatigue. I run the ram straight into the basket so I touch it. Earlier today it missed STILL even though I stopped ON the basket. I love the fact I'm getting a ram for this but I'm sick of doing this damned race. (I'm running 3 characters so its getting old.)

As long as you're not totally inept, you can get this thing.

After mastering the strategy, I was able to get 45 tickets per keg run (That's 15 round trips) and then 40 from barking quests. 45 + 45 + 40 = 130. 600/130? Take you less than 6 days of about an hour a day, if that.

I did it in 8 days. Here's how:

First day: You can get atleast 100 tickets. Complete 'pink elekks on parade' for 40, 'barking for thunderbrew' for 40 more, 'this is ram racing...sort of' for 10, and then the repeatable barrel relay one, that you should earn atleast 20 per shot doing. You can do this once every 12 hours, so twice on this day is 40 more tickets.

So on the first day, you will get like 130 tickets.

Day 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8: Do the beer keg relay twice a day, and aim at getting 20 tickets per run (each barrel yields 3 tickets). Also, do the 'Barking for Thunderbrew' once on each of these days. This is a total of 80 per day, and you can get 100 if you do good.

For all the low levels who don't have their mount and try to complete the barking quest there is an easy trick. As long as you finish barking with about 30 seconds to spare, simply leave IF and as soon as u get 2 the ramp jump down the right side of it. If you do this correctly you will end up almost next to the quest giver.

An answer to many of your questions has just been posted on wowinsider...

It appears that this Brewfest Ram will be available for the Alliance to purchase this year again, however, the horde will no longer be able to get it. They will also be adding a Brewfest Kodo, HOWEVER, alliance will not be able to get the Kodo as it will only be available for the Horde to purchase.

To Sum it up, Alliance get Ram, Horde get Kodo unless they got the Ram last year.

You will be able to get an item similar to the Fresh Holly that will change your mount into a Ram or a Kodo, and they will also be adding a seasonal boss in Blackrock Depths that will drop a Trinket that will summon a barmaid, which you will be able to wave at to get free Brewfest Brew.

i thnk it's kinda stupid that they're takin away the ram and replacing it with a fat kodo (for the horde). the brewfest ram is pretty much the only alliance mount horde can get (aside from the zulian tiger/spectral tiger) easily while alliance can get the raptor from ZG, the skeletal horse from Strat, and the hawkstrider from MGT. they also get the winterspring tiger (after a LONG and BORING grind for it). Sure the drop rate for the mounts suck, but alliance get to have pretty much any horde mount, other than wolf/kodo (yet -_-). i think it'd be better to keep both the brewfest ram and kodo, and let horde be able to get ram and ally get kodo. and if an ally wants the ram and horde wants the kodo, then they should be able to have a choice, instead of forcing one faction to have a mount they don't want. i'd much rather have a ram for my tauren that a kodo -_-

So last year I got the epic ram, so I am all set. But just out of Curiosity will I be able to buy another epic ram without getting the 600 tickets because I already did it once?

on the daily were u get the barrels and run bak and forward, if ur a good ram rider u can get alot fo extra tickets cuz wen u turn in a barrel u get some time bak, if u use this wisely u can get a hole lot. i got like 105 in one day once. not sure if it was exactly 105, cuz that was like a year ago, but u get the idea.

I'm on my lower level alt and brewfest is coming up. I plan on lvling fast and i have the money. But is it possible to still get the ram despite my low level so i can use it for later?

no its a quest to get the mount need need to be 30 or 60
( i beleive 30 cuz that what lvl u need to be to get your mount now)

This event sucks now. Blizz changed it so the ram mount is ONLY available as a drop from some 73 Elite in BRD. The fun thing about Brewfest was getting the stamp so you can buy the ram, and now it's impossible for a lowbie to buy it and put it in their bank for when they hit 60.

Way to screw up a great time, Blizz!

blizzard likes to do everything they can to make everything in this game a time and luck grind, as opposed to just time. Sure, it wasn't much time last year, but good luck farming this or the kodo now if you have bad luck. Not every holiday has to be a $%^&ing boss fight.

it's just a freaking ram.... horde have much more exotic mounts imo, I don't know why everyone makes such a huge crying deal over this thing. last year it cost 600 tokens to buy... I'd much rather make daily attempts at a boss that drops cool trinkets/other goodies than waste 2 weeks farming the same dailies over and over.

just spend a day and a half getting 100 tokens and buy the pony keg, that's the best item in the whole brewfest menu. :D altho I'm pretty curious to try the brewfest membership...
