If I remember right, weren't the Bilz reps talking about some item that would require an INSANE amount of time to get, and that only melee classes (save Rogue) would get to use it? 271 DPS and 2700+ on hit sound reasonable for a quest like that.

It wouldn't surprise me, also, that this would require multi-raid runs (Think Anathema/can't-remember-right-now) to obtain.

Sounds PERFECTLY reasonable. Nevermind the fact that the little 'tard in Outlands will probably have enough mobs assisting him that Kel'Thuzad would look like a wimp. That, or, he has a mount/ally you have to kill at the same time.

My prediction: expect him as an optional boss in the Black Temple. Ashbringer will more than likely be damn close to what we're seeing here. Otherwise, what would be the point of such a famous weapon (in and out of game) winding up as a limp noodle when the next expansion comes out?

I actually think Bliz is being fair and open about this one, with little to no BS.

But, of course, this is all CONJECTURE.

This is a real weapon, no BS. You have to get the corrupted ashbringer off of the four horsemen in Naxx *wipes drool from mouth*, sorry bout' that than you have to do the SM event, then you have to go to outland and do some rediculas chain quest. i sooooo want this weapon <3

if you goto easteren plaguelands and you know that place where theres a flight path go in the church or w/e and youll see the brotherhood of light or somthing and wait a while then they start talking and they mention ashbringer lol

Before the Burning Crusade, people could devote their time AFTER WORK to such a weapon, if they were really committed. But seeing how a expansion is released each year, there is no point. The thunderfury, a friend of mine spent over 8 months waiting for the second drop from Molten Core, couple of months before the expansion he finally got it, now what, it sits in his bank.

They need to STOP RAISING THE LEVEL CAPS and add some more legendary chains.

Yes, this weapon is real, u need to get the corrupted ashbringer in naxx then go to SM cath, and all the mobs in there will like bow to u, u go to Mograine, the last boss, and his father comes in and kills him for revenge for when his son killed him. then all the mobs dissappear, except for the undead dude in the secret room. u talk to him, and he says that u need to go to outland to find his other son to re cleanse the ashbringer. The quest isn't in the game yet, and will most likely require u to go to black temple.

Actually, in the SM event with Corrupted Ashbringer, Fairbanks tells you that the Corrupted Ashbringer CAN NOT be cleansed, but a new can be forged. As such, there shouldn't be such thing as a "Cleansed" Ashbringer. So yeah, I call BS.

That, and the DPS is 150 higher than Axe of the Gronn Lords, which also makes me smell bull$%^&.

I'm sorry. But the weapon that the stats are here for...quite frankly...probably doesn't exist. Its WAY too overpowered. Think about the fact that under this, the next best 2H weapons would be the BSing ones, Stormherald etc.....Those do 123 dps, diddly squat compared to this. Cleansed Ashbringer would woop anybodys sorry ass. And also....A 2H wep with this speed? The next fastest 2H wep I can think of is Taran Icebreaker, with a speed of 2.3.
