I was searching HA for high-level weapons when I found that sword priced at 50G, but with no buyout price. I sent my bid, but someone was interested too, and after 2 days and tents of tries, I WIN, but spending around 160G!
My Pali was level 50 or less yet, (my first character in this realm) but I was enchanted by this sword, and so, I permitted me a little madness and spent ALL my Gold! (hey, it’s just a game!).
I planned to be a Retribution Pali using 2H weapon and I use two simple trinkets for max damage.
However, using at 1.60 speed and its solid 62.8 DPS, every time that + is activated w/ + and more , I thanks give by my moment of insanity.
It’s amazing!
I recommend that mix to everyone, because it’s very fun. Even in PVP, you will be able to astonish your enemy, since you use a shield, and people for sure will sub-estimate your damage.

P.S.: weapons with the same DPS would cause the same damage, if there are no other variables. But, in the real game, in identical time-periods, the fastest weapon will attack too many times the target, and it will rise up its chance of hit target, it chance of critical hit, as so will enlarge possibility to starts eventual abilities like Vengeance or attributes that does “something on hit”.
When in doubt about two weapons with similar characteristics, just prefer the faster of them.

inuuro's blade is a a lot better in terms of dps, extra +hit and more stam https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=34672 so save your monies and grind shattered sun rep at 70 instead!

I bought this for my 66 prot warrior, and it's amazing. I put Battlemaster on it, and it does wonders! I'm sooo happy! I got Battlemaster cause I'm leveling and the random heals help alot. But for anyone else wondering, does anyone have any other good enchant ideas for this weapon?

Edit: Battlemaster kinda blows. Put Crusader on this guy instead. Much better.

I found this off a random spawn in Nagrand. I picked up another in the AH for 210g and I now use both for tanking with my Frost Death Knight. Never before have I had such an easy time as a tank. A must have for a level 66 tank in my opinion. (Of course, if you're a DK, having two of these doesn't hurt at all. 8) )

Miss clicked on the AH and purchased this sword for 80g... looked on AH later and saw one up for 750g. Posted mine for 600g and it sold before i walked out of the AH. Needless to say thank god i'm an idiot.

well http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?source=live;witem=25772 is really pretty much the same, and it's a quest drop, so don't go for this weapon unless it's pretty cheap. I got it to drop and sold it, so I guess I'm glad people haven't realized this yet :)

i was just running through the spirit fields and it dropped off a Vir'aani Arcanist. I got that at Pattern:Blackstrike Bracers within 40min of each other. I guess that makes up for no drops for awhile! :-p

Got one to drop off a Boulderfist Warrior while rescuing Corki from the northern cleft in Nagrand. Needless to say I'm glad that idiot keeps getting caught after that. I sold it for 200g figuring I'd use the tank sword from Durn the Hungerer's quest, but now looking at the stats and the fast speed, I might just buy the next one I see for fairly cheap on AH. When I sold mine there were 4 others up at the time.

This is a good tanking weapon, but I wouldn't say it is worth any gold to pick up unless you can get it really cheap. The quest reward from killing Durn in nagrand is superior to this, and you can get it for free while questing and getting exp, gold, all that good stuff. :)

I went on the ah and saw this thing for 22g. I'm a healer so i didn't want it, but i knew how much it went for. i bought that thing in a heart beat... 5 minutes later i sold it for 100g :) I'm happy ^_^

These things are very nice, and a not bad upgrade from Quel, but the price these are going for are insane. People are regularily posting these for 600-1000g cause they are new and shiny. Definately not worth it though. I've seen them as low as 150-300 on Staghelm, but Thunderhorn is still sitting around 600-750 range. I'll wait till they are around the 2-300mark on T-Horn before I pick one up.

I saw this on Thott a few days ago and was excited about the high dps and good mitigation stats, but was dissapointed that it was BoE. I check the auction house a day later, and low and behold, there are two of these babies being auctioned. I spent a mere 100G for it, and in one more level I can wield a better tanking weapon than my outdated Bloodlord's Defender.

I just got it and I'm using it in my off hand when dual wielding and main hand when tanking.

I'm still trying to decide what enchant to put on it as I have Icy Weapon at the moment and it never procs and when it does, it's useless :p Any ideas? I think Crusader will probably be the outcome.

I'm also seriously tempted to DW two of these, but not sure if I'll be nerfing my rage generation with two very quick weapons. Any thoughts?

I think it's a good weapon for combat sword rogues. It's a sword and still it is as fast as a dagger, to often apply poisons. In addition Combat Potency will proc more often than with slow sword. I like the defense bonus too. Especially that there are plenty of them at AH

I have both the crysalblade and the kopesh.

I'm a l68 (currently) prot specced tank.

Having used both in 2 identically-partied runs down steamvault the other night, I found the little crystalblade *far* easier to hold aggro with.

It's very similar in stats to widow's remorse, apart from the +10 to hit.

Probably worth buying and using from L66 onwards until you get a better one.

People care what it sells for... but for that I have wow-econ. And how it compares to other available weapons.

Looks like this is the best sword for tanks between 66-69. Not as easy to get as Crystaline Kopesh but its faster=better. Havent seen it on Lightnings Blade recently.

Crystalblade of the Draenei is far better than Crystalline Kopesh. Again, faster=better/More hits=More aggro. Hmmm, Draenei w/Mongoose? Wow, now thats a tanking wep imo.

This is the best tanking wep. pre heroics. So if you have a $%^&ty guild or just don't plan on doing heriocs, this is the wep. for tanking ftw. To each their own.

I was thinking of getting battlemaster on this blade. It is a fast blade so therefore it should proc more often, healing all party members and getting me more aggro therefore making tanking easier.

I agree with magdor. This is a tanking weapon. I have seen rogues with them and hunter dual wielding them, Why oh why? This is really only any good as a tanking weapon, I'm still using it at 70 doing kara, I'd love a weapon that does more dps, but other than that, I love this sword as a tank. Why rogues and hunters aren't looking for weapons with +crit and agility I don't know. But then again, this is BoE not BoP, so I don't know why I'm so bothered.

dropped off for me from a lake spirit in nagrand, I am a fury warrior, fast dual-wielder built for crits, I have the nexus-stalker and unquenched thirst... once I hit lvl66 gonna quit the dagger and use it main hand. Im lvl 64, in the meanwhile, lets see what else drops ;)

I was using the "Revenger" which looks very similiar, if not the same... but im a paly tank so needed the defense, and stam is nice too... a lower lvl paly said he bought one for 26g, so i wanted one, got it in Ah for 90g, worth it IMO, plus i put icy on it, looks very sweet, and ICY actually procs now, since the new patch

Dinged 66 yesterday on my alt paladin. Ive speced him protection and saw this babye on AH right after i was done training.
It was for sale 45gold 60gold bo and i instantly bought it.

Because much of my treath is based on spells i enchanted it with +40 Spellpower.
Great sword for tanking becasue of the speed, and overall good stats for a tank. To be honest i dont think this sword has any value for others than protection paladins, and warriors that need a tanking sword.

This may have already been said, but Grom'tor's charge is far superior. More dps and alot more stam. This weapon is howver a good bridge between lvl 66 and Grom'tor's charge.
