You cant equip this item and you lose it once you start the quest chain... I dont know why it have stats... maybe only to shot it is to make an item good against demons

Everything is on use. Effects are copied from the hunter epic staff and the caster version of the final rewards. Effects have no duration or animation. Unless blizzard coded it to grant these bonuses permanently upon accepting the quest, they exist only to accentuate flavor text.

Sadly you lose the trinket when you hand in the quest.

Kicking myself for that, since as a caster I think the trinket bonus would be better than getting the final weapon, since there are already weapons with high +dam, whereas trinkets with +185 dam?

I have this and on Q... but dont want to lose this.. but i cant use it? its like a charm ? give the shard the bonus dmg on demons when u have it in u back?

... it would own the end weapon for a feral druid. I get more AP off my staff against anything. Should imagine it's the same for most classes. Sigh - a chain not worth doing, apart from the entertainment and giving u a reason to go down dungeons other than rep :P

The trinket thing was probably just a bug thats all.
This trinket is probably supposed to convey to you that this is going to be a quest with something with similar stats at the end (Or at least something with +stats agaisnt demons anyway)

22,35 Shadowmoon = Legion Hold. Right next to the Fel Reaver. I killed this guy more than 20 times so far and no drop just yet.

1 kill 1 drop. walks around behind lower fel reaver... maybe i got lucky, but seems easy to get

can anyone confirm/deny that this is a horde only quest? cuz yet again i see alliance getting screwed out of a weapon that I would like to get. The end of the chain says horde/alliance, but the drop item says horde only.

This is the modern one. Not sure if you can get another after you turn-in the quest, but its not unique so I'd attempt to get multiple prior to turn in (I can confirm it disappears with the quest). Hopefully it will still be available for another drop, since this will be nifty in BT.
