This is actually a more interesting gem than it first looks.

Whilst it contains two rather conflicting stats (very few people will bother to go for dodge rating on DPS kit), it actually is very overbudget. Every other epic gem in heroics has +5 to one stat and +4 to another (or the equivalent budget in mp5/healing/ap etc).

This gem has +6 and +5. If it was the same item budget as other gems, it would have +4 Crit and +5 dodge. Whilst that fact hardly makes it more useful (I'm still unsure exactly which class would be most interested in such a weird combination of stats), for those who seek to maximise their overall stats, this gem might be a nice choice, especially for solo grinding as a melee dps class.

Great gem to have in Arena gear for any melee class while you are farming for the +10 resilence ones. If you ask me, dodge is a must when you looking at survivability in pvp encounters. Rogues may on the other hand be better off with pure agility as usual.

I use these bracers for DPS and Tanking. Additionally, I like to fill out the socket bonuses. This gem worked perfectly. Fairly easy to obtain as Mech is a commonly run heroic.

I have a level 70 rogue and I don't think this is all that great. +5 dodge = crap. I would much rather have crit,hit,agi,stam than the +dodge.

The +8 crit rating is way better for rogues and that's not even epic.

One: don't be so greedy over an item.

Two: multiple classes can use, but this is more of a pvp gem. you don't need dodge rating in pve unless your tanking, you won't get hit by melee usually unless you have aggro, and in that case you will need stamina and defense not crit and dodge.

Three: there are many classes who can use this for pvp. saying it doesn't go to an enhancement shaman, druid, warrior, rogue, or hunter is ignorance.

shamans and warriors have flurry which increases attack speed for the next 3 attacks after a crit.

druids in bear form gain rage when they crit, which allows them to preform more specials, as well as life with improved leader of the pact.

rouges and druids get an extra combo point when they crit with a move that gives them a combo point.

haven't really played a hunter much so don't know all of thier abilities.

four: you can only have one of these gems equiped since it is unique. That goes for your whole gear-set too, not just that item.

not sure if it goes for all the other epic gems as well since they have different names, would like feedback on that if anyone knows

erm... i agree with other guy im sick of greedy bastards too its good for many classes rogues shouldnt get a priority over it... its dodge gd for feral druids warriors etc and crit strike rating warriors hunters enhance shammys.....................................:P

It's a great gem, but you shouldn't fight over it... Heroic Mech is one of the easiest heroics in the game, so if you don't get it the first time, it's easy enough to get again.

I play a feral druid, and nobody wanted this gem when it dropped, myself included. For druids, a +8 agility gem will give more crit and significantly more dodge than this, as well as 8 AP in cat form, making this an absolutely terrible gem for us.

For all classes:
1 dodge rating = .053% dodge
1 crit rating = .0453% crit

For druids:
1 agility = .068% dodge and .04% crit (and 1 AP in cat form)

The choice is obvious
