I can confirm that this does stack with Bloodlust. ( about +38-40% )

These are truely amazing for raid's, probably best used with a Melee group, because their attacks are automatic. In a caster group human reaction speed will effect the usefulness of this, but still over all, its well worth using in any case.

Might be mine alone, but the buff said it gave 80% increased attack speed/casting time, which isn't correct to the description it has. It should be around 7.6% as mentioned above. So don't get fooled by it as I did on first use ;(.

It works on all party members, regardless of level.

A friend of mine had rerolled on my server and I invited him to party. I used the drums and he got the 80 rating buff, which amounted to a 312% attack speed buff for him at level 10. I dropped party and he proceeded to own every Dun Morogh wolf in sight ;)

Not very useful seeing the duration and cooldown, but a funny fact (and possibly a bug).

Shares a cooldown with all of the other Drums created by leatherworking. Upon right-clicking, you get a 1sec cast time at the end of which all drums gain a 2min cooldown.

What people really need to understand is the incredible impact that consumables like these can have on raids, especially DPS races like Gruul and Void Reaver. Also, Curator evocations would be the perfect time to use these.

On both fights, all DPSers need to maintain a constant 500 damage per second, or about 8500 combined DPS. 7% of that is about 700 extra DPS, and once you multiply that by the 30 seconds these last, you're looking at 21000 extra damage. If the average Gruul fight is 8 minutes, you're gonna be using 4 of these in a raid. 21000x4 means you're dishing 84000 damage extra.

I assume that they only affect those in your party, but as long as you have a LWer in your DPS groups, you're home free.

A raider can level Leatherworking to 350 to use these (and get someone else to craft these for you), which if used every cooldown is a equivalent of 20 haste rating to your party.

For best effect, have four people in your party take turns using them to get a permanent 80 haste rating.

If you look at how Nihilum uses these, they have LW on every single character in the raid. They use a rotation of every person in the group. Since it lasts 30 seconds, and is on a 2 minute CD, the whole raid gets an efficient 5% non stop haste. They also whisper each other like "YOU ARE NEXT ON THE DRUMS MATE!!!" (Sunwell movies). So if your guild is BT - forward, i suggest making everyone reroll LW. :D

For casters in a raid, mana becomes important because almost all damage by a caster requires mana. For melee, a lot of the damage comes from a simple attack that does not use energy or rage. More haste means a faster mana drain for a priest who might have to resort to using a wand. Increased haste for a rogue means more attacks with a poisoned weapon even if the energy is depleted. Therefore casters will be limited by their mana pool while melee users can continue to benefit from this throughout the fight. If you have enough mana and you need to kill the boss in 4 minutes and 45 seconds instead of 5 minutes, this is helpful. But if mana is a concern then drums of war where the attack power and spell power is increased would be better because the efficiency of the mana, rage and energy will improve.
Or better yet, you can start with drums of battle and when the mana is getting low use drums of war and when there is no mana and no health left use drums of restoration and finally when all hope is lost use drums of panic and head for the exit.

This is incorrect. For a caster, haste will increase your dps on all spells cast as long as the speed is not reduced below the GCD. 5% haste for a caster is 5% more damage.

For melee classes, white damage is between 40-60% of your damage, and while more white damage may increase your special damage slightly through more rage or combat potency procs, under a best case scenario haste is only about 80% as good as it is for a caster.

Threat and mana consumption may make stacking haste or bloodlust/heroism on melee better in many situations, but point for point haste is better for a caster.

This isn't strictly true, since haste reduces the GCD for melee and lets them use more special abilities than they would otherwise be able to, and thus does not solely increase white damage.

good lord this isn't intuitive. it has 30 charges, it buffs your partys haste for 30 seconds, you can use it every two minutes, it has like a 1.5 second cast. It sits in your inventory, it stacks with everything, and it's not actually 8% haste at 70 but closer to 7.6ish.

You don't need to put them in a slot. I just got the pattern today, but I haven't used them yet. Going to try it out tonight. You just put it on your bar and use it. Sadly, it is not usable in druid animal forms.
