I'm working on it with my lvl 60 Hunter, after you get rank 7 Knight Lieutentant (or something like that :P hehe) You have to do alot! of PvP!
I went on vacation for 2weeks, went down 1rank : /

Do you have to maintain the pvp rank to keep the ram? Could you get to the required pvp rank, get the mount, drop some ranks and still use it?

As with all PVP gear and items this ram CAN be used after you drop from the rank you are required to have when you buy it. If this weren't the case there would be NO point whatsoever selling these mounts, as one would have to remain R11 throughout one's career (as mentioned before this would mean no vacations, no lull in PVP, and no life, really). PVPing is an invetment of time and resources precisely to get the rank, a threshold for the items, which you can then buy and equip and use, after which you can happily sit back and return to a normal life (believe me, PVP-ing to anything above R11 requires and enormous amount of time, easily 4-5 hours a day, if you are lucky and with a very good group).

As only the top percentages of PVP-ers are R11 and above (R14 is generally only one or two players per side per server) if you had to retain requisite rank for an item to keep on using it, that would mean this item would be available only to a VERY select grp of people, and only then for a very short time, which would just be silly.

I know for a fact that PVP-ers who have dropped one or more ranks are still able to use their gear, and this ram is no different.

My question is, can you buy this ram if you don't have Ram Riding, and say keep it in your bank, then if you train ram riding later you can then use it?

Just wanting to know if I have to be exaulted with IF at the time or purchase or not?

you dont need ram riding to buy the mount just need to be commander. So buy it once you hit rank 11 and then get exalted with IF. If you loose the rank in the mean time there is no problem since you only need the ram riding and the mount is in your bank/bag

he failed to mention that without the riding skill, you can't ride them. Kinda important, but hey, that's what I'd expect from someone who shoots off his mouth and calls other people noobs.

a while ago somebody said that you need lvl 60... but on the picture it says that you only need lvl 55 and I'm lvl 54 so I was wondering if I should grind for it or not?

-You don't need to be exalted with any faction
-You need epic riding skills
-You need to be level 60

It has all been said before and you could (and should) have known this, just by using the scroll button and reading the text.

I love this Ram. Its looks great and almost anyone can get it. You dont have to be exalted with anyone to get it. I only have one complaint. As a PVP mount I think it should be faster then the Basic Epic mount. Oh well, at least I saved 90gold.
