Turning this into light leather can really make you a profit.

I buy stacks of this for like 20s and with 3 stacks of it you make 1 stack light leather. The light leather stack sells for 2g on my realm so you can make a nice profit if you do it everyday. Especially nice for lower levels for the skills and whatnot.

You will need two thousand one hundred and sixty, 2160, pieces of Ruined Leather Scraps to make one, 1, Rugged Leather.
Best be starting your skinning now, boys and girls. ;)

Anyway, I think there should be a new category. Instead of these leather things being "drops" they need to specify that you get it from skinning them.

From what I've been told the ruined leather scraps can be turned into light leather by leather workers.

Ruined Leather Scraps can be converted into 輕皮 if you have the Leatherworking skill.

In Classic HC the Wendigo cave in Dun Morogh is phenomenal for early leather and scraps.

Leather scraps can be skinned from lowly rabbits and other small critters. Sometimes, light leather can be gotten from them. This is true for all animals up to about level 15 when more light leather is dropped. Double light leather is available in Darkshore per animal, usually above level 15. Further south of Auberdine, getting closer to Ashenvale, medium leather becomes frequent with animals above level 20. Hides are dropped at most levels, but they're rarer from low levels.
