This ring is amazing for its level (about level 30), and will be one of your first blues, and one of your first rings. It gives good bonuses to all stats, so is beneficial to all classes.

However, there is a long quest series, which starts off from a drop in Vancleef. The series mostly includes running around Stormwind, and you have to complete Stockades as well. However, most is simply finding people, and it is well worth the time to get this excellent ring - many level 50+ still use it.

This ring is attainable at level 16 through the above listed quest line, it will require some help from higher levels on several parts but it is very doable making this ring ideal for any class of twink.

I believe this is attainable as a 19 twink, but you have to be careful with such a long chain that you don't level. If not then it's still very powerful for a 29 of any class.

It's not good just because it has loads of stats on it. For a mage or warlock, only the stam and int are useful, and you can get the same amount on a level 24 green. Only hybrids could benefit from every stat, and even then they probably would want to focus on just 2 of them as they level up. This ring is basically crap for almost every class.

For twinks, yeah whatever, but then who cares about twinks.

The only problem with this ring, you don't realize its an amazing twink 19 item until you're 20 levels too late. Best to look for a very high level to run you through most of these so you dont get too much xp as to ding 20 (for us 19 twinks)

For those of you trying to plan out your 19 twink, here's how my experience went:

I started this ring quest chain at 17+3 bars. I finished this quest at 18+4 bars. So it ate up more than 1 full level for me. You'll need help twice from high level folks, in the stockades, and for "the attack". Other than that, the rest is running around SW.

Unfortunately, there is no Horde "equivalent" for this ring. The one previously stated (more than once: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=6414) comes nowhere close to what this ring affords across the board at the required level (16), in converse to the level 18 requirement for the Seal of Sylvanas. The quest chain length is negligible.

Fantastic ring, well-worth the quest series, not to mention the near 13,000 xp you get from the quests themselves. If you're less than lvl 25 or so though, don't expect to finish the second to last quest without help.

I had this ring so long that I totally forgot I was wearing it, didn't end up taking it off until level 45.

It's cause when I first wanted to replace it, vendors were offering WAY too little for such an awesome Blue so I didn't sell it. Blizzard later buffed the price.

I did the whole chain of quests before the patch came out and upgraded the ring, and I replaced the ring (sold it to a vendor) because I found a better one. Can I re-do the chain of quests, or will VC just not drop the letter for me anymore?

Yes, it's true! u can have this ring from lvl 16! Just complete the Unsent Letter Quest from VC, complete the long long chain (u need around 3/4 xp bar free)

i did this yesterday but lets see if i remember the order. you kill vc, get the letter, deliver it to baros and he sends you to the stockade. then you have to kill bazil and turn it in to the warden. from there he says you did great and go talk to someone. then after a lil running around you get send to tyrion (sp?) and he makes u fetch some apples from elwynn and silk. then you kill the guy from westfall and the lord. both lvl 30's. from there u have to run around SW some more, including elling trias and mathias shaw. then u get sent to more people and finally it says go talk to the king and nobles but you really talk to lady prestor or whatever her name is and she thanks you and gives you the seal of wrynn. :) hope that helps some of ya! if ya need help on whisperwind my name is sindarious or chrilherly

At the end if you fail killing the 30 and 31... it takes a minutes to reset this part but you do NOT have to get the apples and silk again.

The little robot guy that turns into the chick to draw out the two guys you have to kill.. he has to reset and that takes a couple minutes.

On the SAFE side drop the quest for 'attack' and once the robot resets next to the little Tryion guy the '!' should reset too..

AFTER killing BAZIL turn it in to the warden in the stockades I believe and you end up back in the cathedrial dist. The rest of the running around is childs play :D

No one keeps Alliance from going to Shadowfang Keep or Wailing Caverns, in fact I've been there many times. There's even a Paladin quest for Shadowfang.

As far as I remember there's a teleport device for getting to Gnomeregan for Horde, right?

As soon as you speak to Tryion and get the "Attack!" quest he will send his spybot to lure Lescovar to the grassy area...when Lescovar shows up the Rogue will stealth in and they start talking. As soon as it says the conversation is complete attack the Rogue...if you let Lescovar start walking back to the Library you will have to abandon the quest and get this part from Tryion again...I know this from experience..twice I waited just a bit too long and couldn't kill Lescovar..he has to see you attack the Rogue. Then the rest is just a matter of running to talk to the guy upstairs at the cheese shop and then the guy in the Town Hall by the Cathedral of Light. Finally you run to the Keep...straight in and talk to the Lady...she will give you the ring.

The whole chain starts from An Unsent Letter, an item that drops off of VanCleef in the deadmines, just follow what they tell you to do then it leads you to the quest in stormwind where you gotta help the little gnome kill these guys, bring some help before you do this quest, then you gotta talk to a bunch of ppl arund Stormwind and then you gotta talk to the king of stormwind, he then rewards you with seal of wyrn and 2 other rings.

i did this quest at lvl 17 with a lvl 62 warrior its a gr8 ring for any1 includin twinks :) unless ur rich enough to buy a better 1 or very luckey to find a better one lol :)

I just finished the chain, to get the ring.

Just joined a pickup group for stocks, to get that part done. Soloed the 2 mobs in the garden (level 30 and 31).

But at level 27, one should hope I could manage to clear a couple of guys.

unsent letter off of VC in deadmines starts this which sends you to stockades area for turn in - i joined a group for stocks that was nice enough to run me through since it was an all guildies group

killed Bazil easily since we had lvl 35+ in group
and then it makes you run around SW for turn ins - Mathias Shaw and Elias Trias etc. - I then requested help for the big fight in the Keep with the non elites lvl 30 & 31 (if you do this be sure you tell whomever is helping you that you need to get aggro first or the quest will fail) and then a few more turn ins and got it at 17 - great ring to have early if you can manage this - then ran deadmines again and got the 6int 3 agil ring off of Gilnid in the forge/engineer area.

Ok heres how to get this for ur twink.
Try to do ur tunic of westfall quest before lvl 18 or 19
Get VCs "starts a quest" drop
do quests till u end up in stocks
have a 70 put u guys in raid group till u get to bazil
get Claras fresh apples for the gnome at SW keep
have the 70 help u kill the 2 guys(must dmg first or no credit no matter what)
return to the lady and get ur ring.

Only a 375 Enchanter can get it enchanted but only the enchanters rings can be enchanted since it makes it soulbound after doing so, even on rings that dont bind when u equip it. And even if u were that high, odds are that ring got replaced a looooooong time ago.

Questline starts with picking up the letter off of Van Cleef's dead body in Deadmines. You don't need to be on the Defias Brotherhood quests to get the letter.

Chain continues with Stockades and a bunch of fun in SW library garden.

In 1.9, this starts from the letter from the letter that vancleef drops. You have to kill a level 29 elite in stockades, and a 31 and 30 inside stormwind keep. The end quest says that you have to bring a report to king varian wrynn, but you'll actually have to talk against the onxyia mother, she says that he's gone and you'll get the ring from her.

This is a great ring for every class (+ to all stats? ya). Get letter off Van Cleef in deadmines, run a bunch of easy errands, kill 2 lvl 30 conspirators in SW keep (just ask one of the hundreds of ppl in the keep to help you) and its yours! Got it on my lvl 24 druid, and i still wear it on my 50 warrior-- thats how good it is.

It's post 1.9 and I defeated the private in dustwallow. I talked to the theramore boss and she gave me Jaina's Signet Ring. Am I missing something because I didn't get another quest afterwards.

Just finished this quest line and recorded the details.

1. the quest line starts with the letter that drops when you kill Van Cleef, final boss in Deadmines. There are no pre-reqs, don't believe anyone who tells you different, but you must be lvl 16 to begin the quest from the letter.

2. So at 153 xp into lvl 16, I turned in the letter quest to Baros Alexston at the City Hall

3. Almost all the xp is straightforward quest xp. You do get a little from entering the Stockades to kill Bazil Thredd and a little from killing the 2 lvl 31 guys outside the library. since I had a 70 help with everything, the xp was lower, and since I had him clear Stockades all the way to Bazil before I entered, the Stockades kill xp was only 301.

4. When I ended the quest line, with the ring in hand i was at 14,275 xp, still on lvl 16 - but that is about 90% of a lvl it took to complete. You also get 1325 Stormwind reputation.

5. Have fun, and wear comfortable shoes, cause there is a good bit of running around Stormwind for this!

I loved the line of quests that end at you getting this ring. The quests are pretty much easy except the part where you have to kill the rogue and librarian guy... had to get a pretty high level to help me with that one. (being a 27 mage at the time)

This ring is from the end of the missing diplomat quest, and the ring used to be +stam and +strength. Its was good if u where a warrior , hunter or rogue but it was crappy after all that work for a caster. Its better now atleast 3 of the stats will be good for everyone.
