Surprisingly, no one has compared and contrasted this weapon and the gladiator's off-hand with its rival, the staff offered by the arena. Here are the stats:

Gladiator's War Staff:

48 Stamina
32 Intellect
21 Spell Hit
33 Spell Crit
22 Resilience
187 Damage and Healing

Gladiator's Spellblade//Gladiator's Endgame:

45 Stamina
29 Intellect
32 Resilience
203 Damage and Healing

More simply, by choosing this combo over the staff, you lose 3 Stamina, 3 Intellect, 21 Spell Hit, 33 Spell crit, but you gain 10 Resilience and 16 Damage and Healing.

I would recommend this combo to Affliction Warlocks and Shadow Priests (Moreso than Mages and Destruction Warlocks)

I think this is an excellent dagget for both PvE and PvP. I just got my imba offhand "Orb of the Soul-Eater" which gives me +47 shadow damage, and plus this dagger, it's going to be super. Better than Nathrezim Mindblade for sure...

The endgame and spellblade seem not to have been updated, or if they were they were left behind in terms of awesomeness compared to upgrades of raid-gear. How sad.

This blade is deffinently worth going for, for people who isnt able to do high end lvl 70 instances to get the other blades like; Nathrezim Mindblade, Bloodmaw Magus-Blade etc.

Mix this blade with a off-hand you get from "Badges of Justice" (example, https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=29273) And you will get about 250 spell dmg only on weapons. Make this approx. 300 spell dmg if you go for an enchant aswell.

Now compare this combo with the Gladiator's Staff. ^^ I think i can live without the extra +crit and +resillience! :)

My combo as a Frost Mage:

Actually this is a very good starting pve item. For those guys that doesnt have nathrezim mindblade this is pretty good choise. Shadow priests , affliction locks will propably love this even if its missing the hit rating. No blue or starting epic items that come from honor doesnt even gets close to this.

NOT BAD considering you can swap out the s1 dagger for the s2 or even s3 later.

im a 70 shaman. Just got all of my S1 gear. I pvp most of the time. love to gank. I have just one question though. Would you choose this dagger or the other glad mace over https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28770 ? My guild does run kara but i believe im a little under geared and their is many people who want the dagger. Im leaning towards this mace but im not sure, id like to know your opinions. =) thx

This.. is a casters wet dream for pvp, nearly 200 spell damage with 24 stam and res. rating. These new arena epics from TBC are very awesome indeed.

Nobody commenting on how absolutely awful this item looks. It has no texture, it's nothing but B L U E with blue particles to hide the atrocity.
