2400 mana on average, 33% better than the average 1800 from pre-TBC Major Mana Potions. If you use one everytime the 2-min cooldown is up, this amounts to 100 mana/5 vs. 75 mana/5.

Patch 2.1 made the mats for this potion very easy to obtain, so it's not only one of the best mana potions in the game now, but also one of the cheapest. There are still some alternatives to consider though:

Major Dreamless Sleep Potion, slightly more expensive mats, but gives 50% more mana, guaranteed with no randomness. And it heals hp too. But it has a drawback...
Fel Mana Potion, also slightly more expensive, giving a bit more mana, but with its own drawback. (The drawback does almost nothing to hunters though, so for them the only disadvantage is more expensive mats.)

Patch 2.1 also introduced some alternate forms of Super Mana potions, related to instances. They aren't a complete substitute for making Super Mana out of alchemy mats, but they can supplement your supply and help cut down on the herb farming: Auchenai Mana Potion, Blue Ogre Brew, Cenarion Mana Salve, Bottled Nethergon Energy

Be very carefull to not waste your money - the above mats are only POST 2.1. Currently instead of Dreaming Glory the Super Mana Potions require Netherbloom... which at least on Twisting Nether are hard to come by and very expensive (about 30-35gold a stack.)

I worked it out that it is usally cheaper to buy the mana pots on AH, than to craft them (if ur not a heablist/alchemist)

On my server this was the usal price of mats per x20:

Dreaming Glory = 17g (need two DG per 1felweed remeber)
Felweed = 15g
Imbued Vial = 7-12g (depending on where you buy)

34g +15g +12g = 61g

61/20 = 3.05 per mana pot

AH usally Price = 5 for 9-12g
Craftin them price = 5 for 15.25g

I dont know if this applies to many servers but it does on mine.

A good alternative for this for raiders in Gruul's Lair would be Blue Ogre Brew (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32783).

When you reach honored with Ogri'la, you can purchase these and Red Ogre Brews (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32784) from Jho'nass (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/npc=23428) using Apexis shards (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32569).

Blue Ogre Brews are on a par with super mana potions, both restoring 1800 to 3000 mana.

However, Red Ogre Brews restore less health than super health potions (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=22829) do. The brew restores only 1050 to 1750 health while the potion restores 1500 to 2500.

Ussing constanty it is equal to (75-125) mana regen per 5 sec.
I can't remember how powerful was the critical effect as it ocours rarely.

Here are some calculations made to figure out the Raw Mp5 gained from chain chugging Super Mana Potions when you have the Redeemer's Alchemist Stone equipped.

The amount of mana that a Super mana potion restores with the alchemist stone equipped is 2520 - 4200
(with the average being 3360, which is the value I will use to calculate said Mp5)

120 / 5 = 24
(This tells us that 24 5 second increments occur within 2 minutes, Hence Mp5)

3360 / 24 = 140
(This tells us how much Mp5 we get from an average super mana potion with the alchemist stone equipped)

On average you'll get 140 Mp5 if you chain chug super mana potions with an alchemist stone equipped, whereas if you didn't have an alchemist stone equipped, chain chugging would grant an average of 100 Mp5.

It's like a free 40 Mp5 on mana intensive fights... Not bad considering it also gives 119 additional healing =)

Clearly this is meant for an enhancement shaman. If a hunter rolls on it I'm going to sneak in, sap, grab it and sneak out.

No problem at all. Solo'd it at level 57.
