Best place to try and get this quest is in the house by the pumpkin patch (same place as Princess & Morgan the Collector)

Reason:
There are two mobs in the house that drop it; Erlan Drudgemoor (who has the highest drop rate, The Defias Ambusher has the same drop rate, but spawns every 5 mins making your chance to get it more than 50% less in the same amount of time) & Surena Caledon, plus their spawn time is about 2 mins.

Pretty much impossible to farm. Do this quest only if you get this item by accident.

Yeah really, I found this while killing Defias rogue wizards for those red linen bandanas. dropped off the third rogue wizard I killed.. But on any other char I remember it not dropping till I killed loads and loads and came upon it by chance.

Well, I've just been clearing The Brackwell Pumpkin Patch of The Defias for a while (including the barn and the hut with named mobs). I've cleared it several times now. No luck. Drop rate must be very low. Killing Erlan hasn't helped at all. I guess farming the deed here is just a waste of time. Got it by accident? GZ. If not I suggest skipping it.

EDIT: I had much better luck with Defias Wizards at The Stone Cairn Lake. Like 15th Wizard dropped it for me. GL!

Defias Wizards at the Stone Cairn Lake must have better drop rate for this. I killed less than 10 and it dropped. I doubt I was that lucky.

Spent ages looking at the usual Defias locations, gave up then randomly looted at location 50-83. Tent in the woods with 2 Bandits and a Wizard.

i've got this within 10 kills from the wizards at heroes vigil - island in the north of elwynn forest - on each of my 8 alts.

I have farmed over 400 Defias Bandits as of writing, still no drop. (I've also killed the named mobs ay least 40 times).
Is the droprate really 2%?

Might be just my luck, but my every character seems to get this from a Defias Rogue Wizard. Therefore, I would suggest farming it at Hero's Vigil, the island in Stone Cairne Lake in the northeast.

While you are there, just south of that is Eastvale Logging Camp, which has a quest from a woman in one of the houses to gather 10 bandanas from the defias. You might as well pick that up while farming.

I don't think it was just luck. After trying for about 20 minutes around the house w/ Morgan the Collector, went to Heroes Vigil. Killed 3 rogue wizards and it dropped.

Defias bandit, dropped this one at the camp South of Ridgepoint tower.
Had completed all other quests in Elwynn Forest, only one yet to turn in,
namely 'Report to Gryan Stoutmantle.

It may have effect on the drop-rate, but then again... Probably doesn't.
Just pure luck, maybe being a NE Priest had something to do with it, in
any case. If it hasn't sropped when all quests are done, trying this spot
for the drop is probably not your worst shot.

I tried forever to farm this item from the Defias Bandits over near Princess on Classic WoW but it just wouldn't drop.

10% drop rate from 迪菲亞碼頭主管 seems about right, but the thing with that goblin is that everytime you aggro him, 3 bodyguards spawn right in front of the house and fighting 4 mobs at once is pretty brutal for any same level character. Chances that you are trying to get this in a group are pretty low so I recommend come back a little bit later. Did it with a 14 priest and it wasn't a joke even then. Be prepared!

Looking to complete all the quests in Elwynn Forest before moving on to Westfall I decided to go out and get this.

Seeing that 迪菲亞碼頭主管 had the highest recorded drop rate (currently 20 drops out of 228 kills, or 9 % if you so will) he seamed like the obvious choice.

I even vent so far as figure out a strategy that would allow me to farm him:

Take the position between the fireplace and the wardrobe inside the house, you might have to corpse run once to get there. The reason for the position is that his three body guards that spawns when he is engaged is not actually linked with him and will only engage you if you are within their agro radius. By standing away from the door in one of the corners of the building you can avoid this, I was level 11,

But 80 kills later and it never dropped. If I remember my school math correctly (1-0.91^80) I should have had a 99.95 % chance of it dropping at least once.

Switching my strategy up I vent for the 迪菲亞流浪巫師 and got it after just 21 kills.

Looking at some other websites you also see that the drop rate for the deed is listed as same for all the different defias mobs including the dockmaster. So I would suggest that until we get a bigger material (more than just 228 kills) to base the drop rates on, don't zero in on just one type of mob.

This item is a nightmare to get.

I've been hunting for this with another guy at Dockmaster's for 3h straight with no luck, I ended up leveling, twice.
(If you're wondering... Yes, Dockmaster himself too. I stopped counting after downing him 20 times and 8 rogues passed me by for "Snatch and Steal")

I also tried doing Defias Rogue Wizards for a bit, but with no luck. In the end I got this from Defias Bandits on Brackwell Pumpkin Patch.

So I recommend you do that to and not make the same mistake we made, also make sure you also eliminate the guys inside the house for a better chance.

(I was level 12 when this item dropped for me, and 10 when I started)

This is one of those items/quests that is everything wrong with vanilla WoW. There's no reason to make the drop rate on this item so low. It's not like the quest it gives rewards some legendary loot, either. What was Blizz thinking?

Just finishing the quests in Elwynn Forest as a level 60 warrior, I tried to get the Westfall Deed. After what must have been 100 kills, and the dockmaster dead 5+ times, I haven't seen this drop yet. How are lowbies supposed to get this :D? I mean, you need luck to get some quests.

Best place to farm the deed is at 48, 87. Agroing the dockmaster spawns 3 bodyguards. The dockmaster has a near instant respawn timer (walk out of the house should force a respawn in a few seconds). All the mobs have a chance to drop it. There is also a patrol of 3 that can also drop it

Killed 迪菲亞碼頭主管 28 times and 84 of his bodyguards. Got the deed from bodyguard #84. Pretty low drop rate, but the dockmaster spawns almost instantly as long as you step away from the house to the dock. Happy farming.
