Save yourself a long trip!

In order to get the Shards of the Felvine quest which this Felvine Shard is for, you will have to get a Reliquary of Purity from the Dusty Reliquary in Silithus as well.

If you go to Moonglade with the Felvine Shard, and you have not gotten the item from Silithus or done the quest which sends you there, you will only get a gossip option, which opens up a quest to travel to Silithus: A Reliquary of Purity.

From the page for A Reliquary of Purity, the comments mention that the Reliquary of Purity is lootable even if you are not on the quest, so I suggest you go and pick up the Reliquary before heading to Moonglade at all. This will save you a trip from one side of the continent to the other and back.

Once you turn in A Reliquary of Purity, Shards of the Felvine becomes available. When you pick up that quest, you will be given a different Reliquary of Purity which can be used with the Felvine Shard to create a Sealed Reliquary of Purity, and thus completing the quest.

The shards are very small and may be hidden under the corpses of Alzzin's minions. They are on the ground slightly left of the thorny vine that was behind Alzzin.
