If you can afford it, consider buying 2 or 3 or maybe more. Put them on the AH for 1.5-2g at the right time and you'll subsidize your training expense and potentially make a little profit.

I bought 5, read 1, sold 4 at ~1.5g each, made my training free. Check out the prices on AH on your server before doing this though, you may not be so lucky.

You learn the "Artisan" level by doing a quest in the Castle at Theramore, where you must bandage some patients and whatnot. Easy. - Allaince -

And for the horde the quest (Horde Trauma) is the same but in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands.

It´s worth while noticeing that you CAN do this as a group! - witch makes it vastly easier to save the number of pacients required to compleate the quest.

I made quite a bit of money as a lowbie just flying back and forth every now and then to Dustwallow Marsh to stock up on these and a couple of the training manuals, and keeping a couple in the AH at all times.

Also: Don't spam, or be annoying, but barking that you're selling these IS a good idea, (but only during high-traffic times), as a lot of lowbies don't know how to get this book, and PLENTY of experienced players are just too lazy to go get it. Both are willing to pay a premium for it, and I was selling these on the AH, or via trade, for 2g a pop.

Consider the fact that I'd sell 15-30 a day, just while I was waiting for the bg queue, or for a group for an instance, etc., that's a fair bit of coin. It allowed me to buy the gear I wanted on the AH, and afford my mount at 40 easily. By the time I got to 60, I'd switched to other moneymaking schemes, but at lower levels, selling these is quite effective. Just make sure you DO have a couple of the bandage training manuals handy as well, as people will want those, too.

EDIT: This is no longer viable, as you can train the skills at the First Aid Trainer now.

To find Denab Walker go into Stormgarde keep and turn right after you go under the overhead walkway. Go through the gate in front of you. Follow mmilliken´s direction, "To find Denab Walker go into Stormgarde keep and turn right after you go under the overhead walkway. Go through the gate in front of you. This part of the keep is an Alliance zone; there are no Mobs here and if you find bad guys you have made a wrong turn. Follow the path and turn right then right again. The artisan first aid quest is located in Theramore island, (boat from menethil). You get a quest where you are supposed to heal 15 guys and something like that. If accomplished you will gain the artisan first aid skill. I don't know what the requirements are, but i got the quest at lvl 42, with 225 in first aid, the NPC is located in 1. floor of the barracks...

On my map it looked like the vendor guy was should be standing in the entrence of Stromgate.

You have to go inside the castle, go right until you get to a deserted town. There you'll have to cross the bridge and there he is.

In the Stromgarde Castle in Arathi Highlands there is a vendor hidden on the west side of the castle that sells you the book for first aid - 150, plus how to make silk, and heavy silk bandages.

To find him, the easiest way is to look for a crack in the castle wall to the west, nearest the road.(Keep in mind there's a bunch of 30's in the castle if you try going in through main entrance.) Go in the crack, and there's a bunch of Alliance NPC's roaming around. To the east you'll see a bridge- cross it. You'll be in a courtyard facing a building with the Prince inside. Turn right, and you'll see the vendor hidden against the wall there. Look carefully because the green vines kinda hide him.

I had to find out the hard way how to get in there through all the level 37's but if I would have seen that crack on the way in, as I did on the way out, I would have saved myself 2 deaths!

Just in case anyone else is confused, I can verify that you can be level 15 and use this book to train to a skill of 225 First Aid (of course you need 125 to use the book).

So, no level requirement for this book, just the stated skill proficiency.

Horde First Aid book- learn at lvl 10+ get from dustwallow marsh/brakenwall village.

Alliance First aid book- stormgaurd find the friendlys go over the bridge he is to your right.

Both of these are books to learn 150+ First Aid. trainable at 125 skill lvl.

All Artisan professions (225+) require that you either be lvl 40 and have ~210~ in that profession ===+++=== OR ===+++=== be lvl 35 and have 225 lvl in the profession. First aid is one of those proffesions which is easy to have at 225 by lvl 35 and to get artisan lvl FA you must complete a quest which follows..

Alliance- go to theramore (take the boat from menethil) and go into the barracks (the building with all the gaurds training in front of it) and on the first floor there is a Dr gustav and he will give you the quest if you meet the req's (see above). Basically you stand in the center of the room and bandage the soldiers around you in order of most sevearly injured first. It may take a couple tries but its not that difficult.

Horde- go to HAMMERFALL in arathi highlands. there is a trauma surgeon there which will give you a quest to save the soldiers much like the alliance version above as long as you meet the reqs (see the above section).

In the Stromgarde Castle in Arathi Highlands there is a vendor.

When entering the castle the bridge u go under is the bridge u will go across.

Enter the Castle and make a right hand turn, and go straight (do not turn left down into the area of where the tower is.)

You will be going into a gated area were alliances are and make a immediate right turn and another right turn onto the bridge.

After crossing the bridge there will be vines on trussel go right and you will we a well, guy walking back and forth and the vender standing in the right hand side of the area.

The vender sells you the book for first aid - 150, plus how to make silk, and heavy silk bandages. He also has teleports for mages,and other odds and ends.

Fly to Arathi Highlands, take the road west and enter into the Stormgarde Keep walls. Keep to your RIGHT, you will see a bunch of Stormgarde Defenders and what not. You will go around and cross that bridge that you passed under, he is to your immediate Right.

If you're wanting to get your first aid past 150 but you're not high level enough to go through Dustwallow Marsh, here's an easy way to get the book:

Head south from Camp Taurajo until you get to the area where the Silithus eggs are. Just to the north of the mounds that are on the east side of the road, there's a bit of the mountain which is climbable. Climb to the top of the mountain.

Work your way south for just a little bit, until you're directly west of Brackenwall Village. It's possible to drop down from ledge to ledge so that you can fall without dying (but it will be close). Regardless of whether or not you die, you'll find yourself directly behind Brackenwall Village without having to go through mobs that are ten levels higher than you.

As a bonus, you can pick up the BWV flight path while you're there.

Alliance: cords are (26, 58).

1) Entering the castle, make the first right turn.
2) Go straight into an area with Storgaurd mobs. These should be friendly to alliance characters.
3) Follow the trail, and hang a right.
4) Over a bridge.
5) Stop at the end of the bridge. Deneb walker should be on your right side. It might help to type "/target Deneb". If your in a group you can mark him. You can also see the screen shot for an idea. If you cant find him, maybe some hordie killed him. He will respawn soon.

OK, I found the Horde tailoring supplies vendor (Ghok'kah) in Brackenwall villiage, but he didn't have any first aid books. My current First aid skill is maxed at 150, so I need these to go any further.
Frustrate much! Any ideas?
I didn't see the other vender there, I guess I'll go back and check though.

For the Alliance in Stromgarde, take your first right, then one again, and follow the loop over the entrance. Before you reach the prince, take yet another right, and tucked in the corner is a vendor named Deneb Walker.

Excellent advise/directions from Slimwit and Beowrath!

I found Deneb Walker after taking the three right turns in Stormgarde Keep ... conveniently waiting BEHIND the well!

Be sure to bring enough cash! I have Honored status in Stormwind. The Expert First Aid - Under Wraps cost me 1 gold, and the books for Heavy Silk and Mageweave bandages cost roughly 45 silver each.

About 1/2 of all players don't know where to find "Expert First Aid - Under Wraps."

Most of the other 1/2 are just too lazy to make the Trip they have to make to buy it.

So why not make some money off of this Fact-of-Life?

--- Here's How ---

STEP 1.
Save up at least 1 gold (or 90 silver - Depending on your Reputation)

STEP 2.
Carefully make your way to the Regeant Vendors as described below

Deneb Walker for Alliance Players
Balai Lok'Wein for Horde Players

STEP 3.
Purchase A copy of "Expert First Aid - Under Wraps"
(and maybe even some Manuals while your at it)

STEP 4.
Make your way back to the City and Auction House of your choice.

*If you haven't already, establish the nearest Flight Path

STEP 5.
Post your "Aquisition(s)" on the Auction House of your choice with a
reasonable Mark-up
(I suggest 200%: Buy @ 1g - Sell @ 2g).

*High enough so that you make a Reasonable Profit.
*Low Enough that people will be willing to Buy it.

STEP 6.
Return to the appropriate Vendor with your profit
(Hopefully you made enough to purchase at least 2 or more books this time)
and Buy More Books.

--- Rinse and Repeat ---

Keep Returning until you have enough Gold to purchase at least 5 Books per visit.

These things sell like Hot-cakes (assuming you don't try to get away with an outlandish Bid/Buyout).

I do this every day before I log-off... So I have a nice, steady Income

Once the Flight Paths are established, this entire process takes less than 15 minutes.

When you log on the next day, you have a pretty pile of Gold waiting for you in the Mailbox...

I bought this in Stromgarde for 90s. Fairly easy to find. As you go in the main entrance to Stromgarde go under the little bridge and then take first right, once you pass the first guards turn right and then right again. You should now be going over the little bridge. Once you cross Deneb Walker is just to the right by the well/fountain.

Okay, to clarify and sum up what others have said:

Levels 1-125 - Learn bandages from a First Aid trainer, up to Silk Bandages.
Levels 126-180 - Purchase all three books from Deneb Walker in Stromgarde and read the Expert First Aid book to train past 126 and keep making Silk Bandages to level.
Levels 181-210 - Read the Heavy Silk Bandages book and use them to train up to 210.
Levels 210-225 - Read the Mageweave Bandages manual and use them to train up to 225.
Levels 226-260 - Get the quest from the First Aid trainer in IF who sends you to the Surgeon in Theramore (for Alliance) to gain Artisan status and learn Heavy Mageweave Bandages.
Levels 260-290 - Runecloth Bandages, learned from the Surgeon.
Levels 290-300 - Heavy Runecloth Bandages, also learned from the Surgeon.

I found that crack in the wall on the NW side really useful

I couldn't find the person (I thought it was a lady) and I got cocky and ventured too far and got pwned by invisible dudes. When I came back as a spirit, I went through the front door and did the "3 right turns". Keep going over the bridge, into the garden area. He's kind of in the corner of the garden, over the bridge. I could only buy the expert first aid book, you need higher skill to buy the 2 'recipes' or whatever. I had a maxed out 150 coming in here.

BTW on the path through Arathi I stopped at Refuge Point, and theres a handy Gryphon Master there. When you see the path leading to it, its very close and safe territory to travel. Might as well get the flight path while you're up there.

I've read some of the other posts on this topic. I'm still confused about how to get above 150. I'm stuck there and I have silk bandages but creating them just wastes them since I can't level my first aid above 150. I got the book for heavy silk bandages but that requires level 180. Can someone clear this up for me.

For The Horde!

Did this with a level 21 priest after completing the requirements for the Guns of Northwatch Hold.

Walk around the outer perimeter of the south easterly tower and drop down to the beach below. Remove your equipment and run south into Dustwallow Marsh.

A bunch of murlocs are on the beach and will kill you. Rez at the Spirit Healer (You removed your gear to avoid the 25% durability hit). Walk across the bridge. Get the flight path and the vendor is across the open area from the flight path behind some other NPC's and building/tents.

Fly out. By the time you get the book and fly to crossroads, the resurrection sickness should only have 2-3 minutes left. Take the time to turn in quests, sell off collected items, get new quests, etc...

NOTE: Crossroads is the only connection out of there. Camp Taurajo looks to be closer, but you actually fly to Crossroads first to get there.

There is no book for artisan first aid. You recieve it as part of a quest in Theramore. In the keep you'll find the Trauma Surgeon, who will teach you artisan for doing a quest. He'll also teach you heavy mageweave bandages.

Not sure there is money to made selling the book anymore. I wandered into Dustwallow by mistake and got killed and ended up at the village got the flight plan and flew out. When I needed the book i flew back in and bought two, one for me and one for the AH. I used the recomended price and it didn't sell :((
Only good news is that the I bought some nice buffs while buying the book!

I'm not sure what the whole thing with the peeking through the crack to buy the books is about. You're there... might as well go in the camp, get the FP, buy the books and fly back. Couldn't have been easier.

I'm a level 26 hunter and I just speed-walked (Aspect of Cheetah ftw!) from Barrens - Camp Taurajo, first south then east along the path. Once inside Dustwallow, followed the left path (it turns to a dirt trail lined with torches once into the forest)until I got to the camp - Brackenwall Village, which wasn't far at all. Aggro'ed one croc on the way that I outran. *shrugs*

Time to put these puppies on AH and cross my fingers there are still lazy people that are willing to pay for my "hard work".

For alliance: You can get there without encountering any of the mobs in Stromgarde.

Go in, go right asap, go right and go over the bridge over the entrance. Vendor will be to the right, just after the bridge.

巴萊·洛克維 is behind the wagons/carts northeast of the big bonfire that is in-front of the inn (36.48, 30.37).

HC check: Arathi is for level 30 to 36 and later on some elites around 40+. There is a road system, but you still may aggro a 36 raptor or something. If you dont want to pay someone in the AH, maybe get a swift run potion (you should have these anyway) and try your luck. When youre in Stomgarde, keep right and right again and you will walk over a bridge and youll be there soon at the NPC selling it. In the stormgarde area 36+ elites can be found, but they should be far away. If you aggro them use your potion and run over the bridge.

Imo its a price or attitude thing. Its not that you absolutely need the 150+ first aid skill at low level (pots are really much much better), but if its your first char, Id recommend to wait until 30+. Then you can get the Southshore flightpoint too, which gives you access to 30+ quests and also Scarlet Monastry.

With the addition of Season of Discovery, as a Horde member I did not see this item being sold by Balai Lok'Wein at Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh. I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but perhaps it has been removed for the time being.
