These are fun gloves especially for a shaman. Be aware though that the lightning effect will consume stormstrike charges... But the lightning effect and sound spam makes it worth it :3

Wow, I hope that 40g is an old price on those. I spent almost 80g on mats making them on my particular server. I'm not taking less. I'll make a shammy first. :D

Just to clarify a few things:
As of the current patch these gloves do NOT eat the stormstrike debuff.
Spell Damage has no effect on the Lightning Strike proc.
Lightning Strike will double proc on WF procs.
Lightning Strike will NOT proc of of Storm Strike or Lava Lash.

cost me a total of 25g bought the recipe for 10g farmed the water essences and bought the rest off ah. blue saphires were about 2g a pop not real expensive. (on blackrock) fairly amusing when the 3 lightning damage starts critting for 4 or 5 points of damage.

Swift flight braces and the black dragonscale items are the only craftable 40+ mail items in the game that are good for hunters.

I wanna clariy: Rockbiter does not do nature damage. It adds attack power to your physical damage.

how about if sum1 using this has somethingt hat increases nature damage spell and effects by "X"... and they use this gloves... wonder if it will stack? coz if it will... wow... back to daggers!

The +3 Nature Damage occurs on EVERY melee attack. Also, although of no real value, is that it can "crit" for 4 or 5 damage, and if you are a Shaman with Windfury on, when windfury procs, the Storm Gauntlets triple proc, it's actually pretty funny.

Good even if you dont plan to do MC soon
They mats go for around 89g on my server (dunemaul) and some people sell it for 150g on AH.
Not worth buying it for more than 100g, just get the mats yourself like i did =P

I picked up my plans for 3g on the AH, most likely because these gloves are nearly worthless to alliance. For shammys, these are amazing. The only problem is the Blue Saphires, which sell for rather outrageous amounts.

i noticed that it says "add 3 lightning damage to your melee atk"
i know that a shamans "lighting bolt" does nature damage but the tooltip say nature so is this some random new type of damage or just a mistake?

i can make these and anthing else thats up to 300 blacksmithing. (going weaponsmith andmaster axsmith or swrodsmith later, have not decided yet). Send mail to acid bath and ill craft whatever i can for you if you give m the mats.

Anyone know if i can get this enchanted with a stamina enchant, and keep the Passives?
Im not totaly sure how the enchants work with procs.
If you could give me some advice that would be great. thx

Look Up Fiery Retributer and look what i posted These are a crucial part of the OPach of Spell dmg With Spell dmg these cause atleast 300 dmg mixed with the stuff i said about in the fiery retributer post

...I'm the one that got banned from 3 different servers (privates ofc) for being to powerful with a couple of items like this i will create a forum type thing with my items to make the best pally in the world
You do 4 different parts of dmg with the right items 3 from items (ranging from 500-1000 crits each) plus the wep dmg

Freaking Shaman gloves >< <---- Im Alliance! Made a pair of these last night thinking that a druid could wear them(Im not stupid, a Druid in my guild said he thought they would rock on him so I didnt even think about it). At the last second I was like "wait a minute, Mail = hunter... why the hell would a hunter wear these?" Too late... you have crafted.
Sigh... any Shamans on Maelstrom want to buy these? They were hella expensive to make.

For paladins, here's some info.
Crafted these today, went around testing - they can crit, and that can proc vengeance - but the problem is that it benefits from spell crit, not melee crit. You're better off wearing something like devilsaur gauntlets for the set bonus, storm gauntlets would work better on some bizarre ret spelladin build that's already going for spell-related stats

i may have given up on these too soon, if anyone has time to assist,
these seem to work similar to the paladin's SoR, meaning any 'on-hit' affect chance is doubled due to the extra swing.
unless that was proven a myth during classic that SoR does not affect 'on-hit' proc rates?
btw useless for straight dmge, zero scaling after the beta nerf. tested on classic.
anyways, food for thought.
