Both Good questions that I have no immediate answer for...

^ This statement indicates that they did not die in that belly while writing, and that they had a possible plan for escaping. It very well could be Innkeeper Shay or another of similar naming!

i got 2 of these and they are from someone eaten by the giants and passing notes from the stomach. they question why one would be risking one's life around the giants but don't appear to do anything else.

and you can not sell them to a vendor.

If you are reading this note, then you are in one of two places.

(1) On the southern peninsula of Azshara

(2) Inside the belly of a Cliff Giant

Both equally undesirable.

It should be noted that I was the former at one time and as of the writing of this letter, the latter.

Being inside the belly of a giant gives one time for reflection.

As my body crystallizes, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps there are enough heroes in this world. Should I somehow make it out of this predicament I am going to wring that orc's ghostly neck!

In my opinion, these notes more or less explain where Azsharite comes from. As well as provide a little comedy. ;P

They remind me of those damp diary pages, where, if you collect them all, you can watch this stranded fellow slowly go insane, go through the War of the Bananas, before making friends with them and understanding their culture. Bank filler, and a good dose of comedy, as we've come to expect from Blizzard. =D

quoting the quest: "The excrement from their consumption is a highly malleable and extremely strong crystal known as Azsharite."
so yes, Azsharite is indeed the "poop" of the giants if you insist on using the vulgar version of the same meaning.
Also note that the Azsharite says "fresh out of the oven" which isn't a very subtle hint either.

This note sometimes drops off of the human statues in southern Azshara, even if you aren't on the quest for Azsharite.

There is another 水晶便箋 that can drop off of the troll statues in southern Azshara. Again, you may be able to loot the statues for this note even if you aren't on the quest for Azsharite.
