It seems, destroying the heart activates the Hardmode of this boss, imprroving loot along with difficulty, and more than likely an achievement.

defeating the heart with its 7.5m health(25) seems almost a chore in itself since you need also kill the bomb bot and mini bots that would heal the boss.

at 25m health(25) and 17 dps(6 heals 2 tank, healers may vary) you need a constant 3720 dps on the boss to get him down in 7 minutes to beat the enrage(its 9 minutes but you can't damage him while his heart is exposed and debuffs are wiped)

while for many 3720 is not at all hard to do remember that every 5-8 seconds(so it seems) somebody is running out of the raid as to not fling everybody around with the gravity bomb(ruining all casting) or running out of raid to not hit them with light bomb(2k-3k per tick every second to everybody around that person).

somebody else can try to work out the hard mode, since mmo says 25% but this tooltip says health increased by 75%.

the most annoying part of this fight is his voice. its high-pitched.
if anybody ever watched Jimmy Neutron and saw the episode with Bro-Bot it reminds me of him but screaming.

3.1.1:
XT-002 Deconstructor - Heartbreak now increases damage by 35% (Up from 30%) and health by 45% (Up from 40%)

The heart is exposed when the XT-002 Deconstructor "rests" every 25%. At this point, his heart falls to the floor and has a 100% increased damage taken buff on it, making the dps doubled.

Damage on the heart transfers to the boss

Damage to the heart is based on damage done, not percentage of health lost, so just because you damage the heart 80% doesn't make XT-002 Deconstructor lose 80%.

So if you do 4m dps to the heart, the boss will emerge with 4m less hit points . In this way its is possible, and essential for most guilds, to chain heart phases. by Nuking the heart and then destroying adds (ranged have the job of holding them off in the first place) is the best way to kill this guy. Melee should love this fight, if it weren't for the Bombs.

Its true (but hopefully a bug) hard mode increases XT's health by 150%.

We tried this in 10 man, and after getting a good strategy down where we could stay alive in hard mode, we were still running WAAAAY behind on dmg vs the enrage timer every time.
I know hardmodes are supposed to be hard I think this is overtuned now. After giving up we got the fast kill achivement for XT on the first try, thus implying we were doing plenty of damage. It would be different if we were close to the kill at the enrage timer...but not 35%+.
